  • "Pinnacle of the Cherry Creek cougar scene here. The food was great but lots of places have great food without all the noise and the D-bags."

  • "a friend of mine had raved about this restaurant. I was underwhelmed by the menu choices. The food was good, not great. Will probably not go back."

  • "The decor was lovely and the service exceptional. Our three person party shared a cheese and meat plate to start which was delectable. I had an iceberg and avocado salad --again perfect. Our entrees included halibut, slow roasted prime rib and rotisserie chicken. The menu had many other selections I wish we could have tried. Our choices were unbeatable. Regretfully no room for dessert."

  • "Second Home is a hidden gem in Cherry Creek. Over the course of several visits I have had excellent food for brunch, lunch and dinner. Portions are generous and the bloody mary bar at lunch is one of the best in town. Service is friendly and attentive and the courtyard patio with its fire pit and comfortable seating is a fun escape from the hustle of the City. The tuna tartare, cheese/charcuterie plate and crab cake benedict are among my favorite menu items. Free valet parking make Second Home an easy choice for Cherry Creek dining."

  • "Good food. Good drinks. Nice patio. The music can be loud in the evenings when the bar and dance area get going. They have many food options and a kids menu."

  • "We eat at Second Home often and recently took some out of guests to eat there. They loved it! They raved about everything that they tried. It's such a great place to eat on a lovely summer evening!"

  • "I was not aware this restaurant was in the JW Marriott when I made the reservation, not that it matters, but it was just not what I expected. It is nice because the hotel valet parks your car and the restaurant comps the fee, which is convenient for Cherry Creek. The food was really good. Service started slow, but then the server was attentive and personal. I got the house salad and the farmer's pizza, and both were really delicious. I would go back to this restaurant."

  • "What a gem of a restaurant in Cherry Creek! The food was absolutely amazing. They had a seafood promotion going on where it was fresh from sea to table in less than 24 hours so it was never frozen...and it was the best Swordfish I've had. My lady wanted a filet mignon which was not on the menu but our server Lindsay made it happen and it was cooked perfectly. The service was spot on and she was very knowledgeable on what ingredients were in each meal and she had great beverage recommendations. Will definitely be back and highly urge anyone to try Second Home. Thanks for the great experience."

  • "My wife and I went to celebrate her 25th birthday and had a wonderful experience. Our waiter was very helpful with suggestions of both food and drink. We both ordered meals according to his suggestions and were very satisfied with the results. We will definitely be going back!"

  • "Second Home was the top choice on my daughter's list of where she wanted to celebrate her 16th Birthday with a few friends. The team at Second Home did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service they received was top notch. When I went to check on the girls and pay the bill, I was very impressed by the level of service I was provided along with my daughter."

  • "We eat brunch at Second Home about once per month and it is always a great experience. The food is so good, service is friendly, and great atmosphere. I love the breakfast pizza and my husband really enjoys the chicken and waffles. The bloody Mary bar is a plus! There is also a kids den where thy can go watch a movie and hang out on some pillows while you relax and have brunch on Sundays. Leave them in their PJ's and they eat for free!"

  • "My parents were in town visiting and we had a great time here for brunch. They have a nice patio. They set us near the Den where there is a tv room for kids so kids were running back and forth but it didn't bother us too much. Especially after a couple of refills on the bottomless mimosas we had no cares in the world. Our waiter was amazing and kept bringing us larger and larger glasses of mimosas. The food was amazing. Something for everyone. "

  • "We went here to celebrate my father selling his house and we all loved what we ordered! I really like the decor, the indoor and the outdoor areas are both very well decorated to be comfortable and sophisticated. The bartender and waitstaff are also the perfect level of attentive. I am very particualar about how my martini is made and the waiter made sure to get all of the details so it arrived perfect!"

  • "We visited Second Home for Brunch, to celebrate a graduation. Our family has varied tastes and their menu accommodated everyone. The French Toast is so declicious. The King Pancakes are so different and flavorful. The two kinds of Eggs Benedicts are perfect. Portions are large. Service is very good. I will definitely be going back. Nancy"

  • "I've always had very good food at 2nd Home and enjoy the bar as well. This was a business lunch and while there are many very good restaurants in Cherry Creek North, 2nd Home has valet parking and it is a real plus. Also we really enjoyed the meal.."

  • "Had dinner at Second Home on a Monday night. Food was excellent and the service was timely and unobtrusive. The server was attentive as well as the busser. The plates were cleared after the appetizers, new silverware was given and our water glasses were never empty. They had a new program offering a "dock to table" menu which had fresh fish from Alaska. That night they were offering King Ivory Salmon and Olive Oil poached halibut which I ordered. Talk about melt in your mouth gastronomic experience! Would definitely return..."

  • "I have brunch here whenever I have a craving for their amazing Chicken and Waffles (the Stranahan's maple syrup is worth the trip by itself). Great service, nice ambiance and good portions. The DIY Bloody Mary bar had all the fixin's and then some but a little light on the Vodka. This is a kid friendly place so the noise and activity level goes up and down without warning. Overall a great family place in Cherry Creek at (IMHO) a reasonable price"

  • "We have been to Second Home several times, but our last experience was by far the best. Great attention from all the staff there not just our wonderful waitress. And the food was amazing as always, we enjoyed the cheese and meat plate, the fresh caught fish, steak and dessert. Thanks Second Home, we love you!!"

  • "Great brunch service with Erin in the patio seating. The DIY bloody mary bar was interesting and had bacon! The vodka was a bit stingy, though. Food was good, a bit pricey for brunch but not bad value for the neighborhood. The breakfast potatoes were not great. Maybe sweet potatoes with some not-so-delicious seasoning? "

  • "We needed a last-minute place to eat due to some diet restrictions that our original reservation couldn't accommodate, and Second Home Kitchen was perfect! The food was excellent, a very nice variety and reasonable prices. The server was good but a little loud - she needs to tone down her voice. The portions were perfect - appetizers as well as entrees. My daughter was able to accommodate her special diet and had some to take home for the next day. "

  • "We met some friends at Second Home this past weekend, and had the best time. Between the amazing food, our excellent waiter, and the beautiful ambience, we couldn't asked for more. I am not usually one for tuna tartare, but this was sooooo good - it had a beautiful smoky flavor, and I could have eaten the entire appetizer all by myself! I also a delicious kale salad, and the lamb pizza, one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted in my life. We ended up sitting in there, enjoying our friends, the tasty drinks and the wonderful atmosphere for more than four hours! I would highly recommend Second Kitchen, and we will definitely be returning for more."

  • "Where did all the kids come from?! It was overrun - I thought I was booking a nice calm table for breakfast with four friends. Noise and out of control kids dampened our enjoyment somewhat. Everything else was great."

  • "I've had breakfast and brunch here, as well as dinner 3 times (including once with a large group). I think it has always been very good/excellent and I know I built it up in my head and with my date prior to going this time. It was the best it has ever been. The drinks are a little on the pricey side, but totally worth it if you want a really good crafted cocktail, and the food is incredibly reasonable considering how much lovingly crafted fare you receive. Might be the best place to eat in Cherry Creek!"

  • "Pajama Brunch is a MUST for my visiting family! The kids love it as it is such a unique experience to go to breakfast in PJs. Adults love the DIY Bloody Mary bar and all the food is great."

  • "A wonderful sunday brunch place, especially with kids. They have a separate area where kids can play, while you sit, relax, comment with friends and family and eat good food. Highly recommended!"

  • "As always going into a restaurant that is part of a Marriott I would expect it to have good food. I would expect the furniture and the room to be well decorated and a professional and comfortable decor. This met that expectation. We were seated quickly and easily, the room filled up slowly but steadily. That was a good sign. The reputation as comfort food is accurate. The food was comfort in an elegant way. The rolls are very good, a chef specialty I heard. The couch potatoes which are made from sweep potatoes are fantastic. I recommend you eat here, however it comes with a Marriott price. This is not Denny's food or prices."

  • "I'm not a "foodie" but I'm also not a novice to the restaurant scene. Second Home was remarkably unremarkable. Food was average to good but there was nothing "wow" about any of the dishes we tried. Between four adults we tried two appetizers, three entrees (two of us had the same dish thus three vs four different entrees) and two deserts. The desserts were hands down the most disappointing. The appetizing descriptions will tempt you but I would suggest you save your money and take a stroll elsewhere in Cherry Creek to satisfy your sweet tooth. Our server was very attentive and kept good tabs on us. She was great. Second Home might be worth a try but for the money I can list a dozen places that will send you home planning your return."

  • "We went to Second Home for my birthday with my daughter. The food was very good and the waitress brought us a birthday treat to share, which was very thoughtful. The food was very good but the restaurant was too noisy. The people at the table next to us were very, very loud. It was a little pricey, but that is to be expected in that neighborhood. We went there for our office Christmas dinner and it was perfect, not too noisy. Of course, we had the room in the back to ourselves and maybe the curtain drowned out some of the noise."

  • "I had high hopes for this restaurant given its ratings,, but disappointment started at check in. When I gave my name to the greeter, she was quick to tell us she could seat us in 35 minutes. When I advised her of the reservation she informed us that a 20+ person group was seated earlier and that they were all backed up. So: reservations mean nothing here. The greeter did tell us that we could sit at the bar where there were seats available. The food was just okay: the cheesesteak was VERY greasy and had to be eaten with a fork and knife. The tomator soup wasn't very good and more than 3/4 of it was left in the bowl. I was very surprised that no-one noticed or was concerned about this. All in all: I won't eat here again."

  • "Make your own desserts! I'm a chef, and my two friends who joined me are both pastry chefs and the quality of the desserts we were served was despicable at best. If you're going to participate in Restaurant Week and serve a dessert, then it shouldn't be pre-sliced apple pie from Sysco that's not even warm or rock hard "marshmallow" with a dry brownie. Even if you don't have a pastry chef any trained chef should know how to make a decent dessert. As for the rest of the meal, my entree was mediocre (I had the Artichoke and Fennel Cannelloni and it was severely under-seasoned, drowning in bechamel and soggy). However both my friends enjoyed the other two options and we all thought the appetizers were well done."
