  For my college graduation, I took my family and girlfriend to Boka restaurant for a great night of eating, drinking, and good conversations! In hindsight, I would say that on the whole, this restaurant definitely delivered on all fronts. A few points to make, however: Myself and my father ordered the Kansas City Strip. It was well-seasoned, but way overcooked considering we ordered it medium-rare. Something to keep in mind that influenced my rating of the food here. The truffle fries, however, were marvelous. The service was a bit inattentive, but they were very accommodating with our particular drink orders. This was my second time at this restaurant, and honestly my first time here was an overall better experience....More

  My sister and I took my mother to Tavolata to celebrate her retirement. I didn't think to request a table on the main floor of the restaurant and we were seated on the 2nd level loft area, directly above the kitchen. It was ridiculously hot and occassional plumes of smoke would billow up from the kitchen. While it was really cool to watch them cooking and preparing the food, due to the 75 degree temperature outside it became sweltering on the second level. Only one of the three windows could open, and was cracked about 5 inches maximum. I would highly suggest they invest in a fan system up there or don't seat people up there when the temperature increases. It had to be 85 degrees or warmer up there. The food was amazing as usual!...More
