  • "This is our second year coming to Seastar during Seattle Restaurant week, and it was again a great experience! They have a great selection of items, and the service was friendly and the food was quick despite the restaurant being packed! Definitely enjoyed the experience. "

  • "My boyfriend and I chose to visit during Seattle's Dining Week, and it was amazing! Our entire 3-course meal was superb, and our waitress had ample insight to help us with the menu. The bartender provided absolutely amazing whiskey drinks. The whole experience was perfect!"

  • "Great selection for Restaurant Week. Food was creative. Service was attentive but not intrusive."

  • "Zuchinni salad - Yumm! Garlic shrimp and calamari linguini - yummm! White chocolate coconut pie - to die for! All the food was outstanding! I even nibbled off my friends plate!"

  • "This was the best restaurant meal I have ever had (and I have eaten out in every State in the US and in 60 countries), and it was the Seattle Restaurant Week (inexpensive $28 for 3 courses). It has a great wine list with prices all over the place (up to $1000+). However, they have a few good ones priced in the $20s. We shared a Malbec Gran Reserva for only $26, and we noticed a very fashionable Austrian Gruner Veitliner (white) for only $22! My choice of meal was Calamari Poke with avocado, Rainbow Trout with black-eyed peas, kale and bacon, and Lemon Sorbet."

  • "For my 51st Birthday, we met up with our adult kids for drinks and dessert at Seastar, 5 in total. Our server was a delight, very caring and friendly. She was helpful in keeping us informed of the status of our order. Beverages were replenished in a timely manner. Everything was very nice and very pretty. The napkin rings were gorgeous! When our order arrived, I appreciated the artsy candle that topped my Birthday dessert. It was a really pleasant and beautiful place."

  • "We were celebrating our annual birthday dinners at Seastar and were surprised at how delicious the special priced dinners were. The server was exceptionally helpful and courteous. We enjoyed ourselves very much and had requested a window table for the birthday people and got one."

  • "Great east side restaurant. I only go during the promotion weeks. Husband didn't order from the fixed price menu. All entrees were delicious. The size of the zucchini pear salad was plenty & would recommend taking half of it home. Chose the steelhead, served with roasted asparagus & mashed potatoes. Serving size looked small but was perfect size which allowed more room for the to die for coconut cream pie for dessert! Excellent service. She put the cloth napkin on my lap. Questions were answered knowledgeably. A bustling place... Not a place for a romantic dinner. Ceilings are really high and noise can get lively. Overall, still has a classy feel and provides for a special evening... During happy hour, the bar was full and thriving."

  • "We chose to dine at Seastar during the Dine Around Seattle restaurant bonanza. We had the most wonderful meal and a excellent bottle of Malbec that was very affordable. The bar is fun and offers a nice array of happy hour items and beverages."

  • "We had dinner in Bellevue to celebrate a birthday. We both had the tropical fruit salad with candied macadamia nuts, which is one of my favorite things about Seastar (I've had other variations in past years). My entree was sea scallops with blood orange gastrique, which was wonderful. Birthday boy had cedar plank roasted king salmon with Chef Howie's salmon rub and smoked broccoli. He loved the salmon but rated the smoked broccoli as "okay"; I tasted it and thought it was horrible. Dessert for him was the molten chocolate turtle cake, which he loved; for me it was chocolate/chocolate pie ice cream, which I swooned over. Service was top notch; attentive without being intrusive. All in all, a wonderful evening befitting a special occasion."

  • "This was so spectacular, better than many regular menu items! Many choices in each category. It was hard to decide. Neither of us was disappointed with our choices. Would go back a second or third time."

  • "we went out for restaurant week. I love seafood, so this place seemed like a no brainer. The food was amazing and the restaurant was nice. Our waitor could not have been better. He made us feel like we were the only ones in the room. On another note, the restaurant was extremely loud. I felt like I oculd hear everyone in the room. It was like being in a mess hall. The hostess could learn some manners. She represents the establishment and is the seastar's first impression. She was rude and didnt seem to eant to help us even though we had an appointment. Not sure what the issue was."

  • "This is our fave restaurant in Bellevue for sure and we love everything! Great seafood tower, terrific halibut, and you must get dessert if you go!"

  • "One of the things that happens when you visit a "new" area is that challenge of finding the local great places to eat. Our search was for Pacific NW seafood and we struck gold here. The choices of "local" fish were great and done in a most enjoyable manner. Fresh oysters from local waters. Halibut from "up the way" and King Salmon from the nice, cold, deep blue Pacific."

  • "Excellent seafood AND other choices for those who do not appreciate seafood selections. Nice sized portions and extremely flavorful food."

  • "This used to be my favorite restaurant but it seemed to me that the menu has changed, leaning heavily to Asian. I understand this as their clientele is very Asian but there did not seem to be as many menu choices that appealed to me as in the past. The service, quality of food we ordered, and the ambiance was still as good as ever. I have to say I cannot call it my favorite restaurant anymore."

  • "Seastar was wonderful! The food and service were amazing. The fish is very fresh and perfectly done. We highly recommend this restaurant to foodies and to anyone who wants a quality, relaxing and fun dinner out."

  • "Seastar has always been a favorite of mine because of the consistently great food. The crab cakes, which are my favorite are incredible with a sauce I really love. My husband had the poke which convinced him we need to go back more often."

  • "We went on a busy Saturday night, but still received the usual excellent, personal service and outstanding seafood dishes. The food is always imaginative, well presented and delicious and the selection of wines most appropriate. I especially like the choice of wines in 4 or 8 ounce servings, allowing for a mini tasting or a different wine for each course. For my wife and I, this is a must go-to restaurant every time we are in Bellevue."

  • "Superb as always. Halibut new in season and wonderful"

  • "The mahi mahi was tasty on its own, but the cucumber/mango relish and sauce made it absolutely yummy. My companion loved the smoky flavor of the steelhead trout. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful about wine selections, offering tastes of several to help in our decisions. She also steered us to sharing the decadent but delicious warm chocolate cake with caramel sauce and dolce de leche ice cream - glad we indulged, it was worth the calories."

  • "We had a larger group for my parents birthday and the service was outstanding. Everything from decanting wine before we arrived to make the check easy for a large group was perfect. The food was outstanding as always. I hope they never take the maui maui cucumber macadamia nut relish off of the menu."

  • "I took my wife here for our anniversary and had high expectations for the restaurant. Recently we've been to John Howie's steak house, The Metropolitan Grill and C.I. Shenanigans. I was extremely happy with the food and service. I'm looking forward to going back soon"

  • "Went to Seastar to have dinner with a friend who was in town. Seastar has always been solid when it comes to seafood so I did not hesitate to choose this restaurant. All in all, not bad but not as good an experience as I would have thought. The food was quite good although my king salmon was a bit overcooked even thought I made it clear that I wanted it on the rare side. It was also not as buttery or flavorful as I would have expected with king salmon. My friend had the mahi mahi that he thought was delicious. The service, although friendly, was less than expected. It was slow and we didn't see our server very much at all. Our water was not refilled very promptly. It feels like the place is getting a little tired and needs a change."

  • "This was some of the best grilled King Salmon I have ever tasted. Served with wonderful fresh and perfectly cooked green beans. It seemed a who's who of Bellevue at lunch."

  • "Always wonderful food! We are never disappointed with the food at Seastar, other than having to choose what to order. So many great options! This time scallops in blood orange preparation, lobster Mac & cheese & Ancho Chili Steelhead - all fabulous! Blue cheese and pear salad, bisque and molten chocolate cake all wonderful too!"

  • "Atmosphere was calm and quiet. Multiple staff members greeted and cared for us. The Ahi and Tuna steaks were crusted imaginatively and delicately seared around the outer 1/8" inch, giving the center portion a amazing sushi-like quality. Beautifully garnished with decorative wasabi-soy sauce art. Truly amazing meal with complimentary breads. The Caesar salads came with hand-made sand-dollar crackers artfully decorated with toasted anchovies. What a delight this place is!"
