Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar5 Star one of best meals ever had.What a surprise! One of the best dinners I've had since living in Seattle OFF the charts. I knew we're in for great night when the bread came out hot & soft like fresh out of the oven. The seafood was excellent (sushi), steaks aged and tender, dessert was outstanding I had some kind of banana split with chopped pineapples, the bananas were crusted in coconuts and came in tall metal martini looking bowl. We were seated immediately for our 4:45pm reservation, and everyone was very friendly and courteous. The food was delicious! Seafood lovers should definitely order the Seastar Tower, either to share or as a dinner entree. Even with several patrons there and background music playing, the restaurant was never too loud where my family could not hear each other with normal conversation voices. It made the experience extremely pleasant for him, which as any parent will attest to...it makes it a pleasant experience for us.
The CA roll had a clean fresh taste, but not noteworthy. The Bisque was rich and tangy. It would have been better serviced as a shot, for it was too rich on the palette to be eaten entirely, even from the little 4oz bowl size. We tried both the Salmon dishes and found them cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning to lingering on the tongue without over powering the delicate flavor of the salmon. I didn't specify a special occasion on the reservation, but the waitress asked. Only negative that bothered me was when offered some ground pepper on my salad, the waitress grabbed the small pepper mill on the table and used it. Really, I have been to many lower end restaurants where they at least carry one of those monster mills with them when serving salads so one can enjoy much fresher ground pepper!
