The servers are classy, good humoured and fun. Our request to sit as privately as possible with a view was met and appreciated as before.
I am going to buy the book recommended by the server (An Uncommon Reader).
The server(s) were good sports and I loved the lines. That kind of banter requires you to really know about people.

We were all very satisfied but last year at the same time we came for the same occasion and were blown away by the service and the fact that the server went the extra mile.. Waiter was fabulous & knowledgeable, was always present when needed but not in your face. I love the fact that they don't take your plate away as soon as you are finished eating, making the slower eaters feel rushed.

We had a great view of the city (although it was a rainy night). Server was great, suggested a nice wine. We had a simple salad, then sablefish and halibut (the special). The sablefish was mildly disappointing but the halibut was amazing. Dessert was a shared chocolate cake, more mousse-like than cake; also lovely. Had a very slight impression that they were pushing us along; e.g., entrees came relatively quickly. But not overbearing. We sat in the outdoor area right at the window/wall openings so had a totally unobstructed view of the skylines, harbor, and mountains. Although early may, they had heaters and fire pits on so it was warm enough to enjoy. This is the best spot to be in the restaurant. Although inside tables are tiered to allow for all to have a view, the beat spots are in the outside dining area. Service was personal ,just the right amount of friendly professionalism. Server was extremely knowledgable( wine and food prep) and within the price range we identifed made suggestions we had not considered. Pork chop was delicious, tender and flavourful as was the white fish. Team working our table were efficient and dinners were hot and good and timely. But the food was delicious. I think the restaurant over packed its rooms due to it being Mother's Day which definitely took away from the ambiance. Crowded, loud, too many children in close proximity to our table. Also, the service suffered as a result of the craziness of the day.
That being said, I could see beyond the flaws and would definitely return, especially with out of town guests. The view is spectacular and the food was very good.
