Diner Reviews
  • "We were treated exceptionally in a dignified manner by a staff that knew their respective jobs very well for the Sunday brunch. The Vietnamese omelet, deserts and braised short rib/wild mushroom quiche were very tasty. Even though we didn't stay the night, the staff was very accommodating for the afternoon visit. Sadly, returning home, a stop on the Mass Pike rest area brought us back to reality."

  • "the setting and views are extraordinary. the staff is so nice and courteous from the valet parker to the hostess to the waiter to the server. the lunch menu is not long but gives a good selection. It is priced on the higher side but considering the whole experience with food, setting, views, etc. well worth it."

  • "A truly divine setting for any celebration (we saw a couple of gifts exchanged!) or just a night to remember;this was our second time at Season's which does not disappoint in food or accomplished service;the chef and kitchen staff have developed such nuances and favors that are so distinctive, surprises as your meal unfolds; a lovely and very unique experience!"

  • "gorgeous hotel with fantastic ocean views from every seat. first class restaurant operation with fabulous food - all six of us talked about each course for days."

  • "While the atmosphere and service were good the lunch menu is limited. The food was at best marginal. The soups were fair. The chicken had no flavor and was dry. The pastrami was greasy and the quiche burnt. Not worth the price to enjoy the view."

  • "The day perfect other than being a little cold. This is our second visit and we will continue to visit this place. Please thank everyone that works there. Well done"

  • "If you have a reservation, you will always be greeted by name starting with the valet all the way through to your server. The service was over the top great! The ambience was incredible. Sometimes, I was distracted by the incredible view! I always look forward to returning to the Ocean House"

  • "We went with very high expectations of which some were fulfilled. Elegance abounds and everything is tastefully adorned. Service is first class from the tip free valet to endless waiter attention. Timing of courses was lacking with one 25 minute gap between finishing a course and the arrival of the next. The souffle was tremendous but could have been started 5 minutes earlier. From start to finish we were there 2 hours and 50 minutes and I feel 2 hours 10 would have been perfect. 5 dishes of the tasting were delicious! Two dishes were of average quality. We were charged for a drink that my wife had two sips from and had taken away.... A banker party was next door and they were obviously having a very good time."

  • "Beautiful atmosphere, great service, really enjoyed the selection - my only complaint - I wasn't hungry enough!!"

  • "The service was perfect, the room very elegant. The food was unfortunately a bit boring. For those prices I expected a WOW factor which was not delivered. I would definitely return but with lower expectations."

  • "From the moment we stepped into the Lobby - Seating Room and towards Seasons - we felt special Met at the door of restaurant - charming - and very hospitable Took our coats and then we were seated immediately at Window side table Service was excellent Food was scrumptious We'll be back for sure"

  • "Spectacular setting, wonderful decor and furnishings, beautiful bar and terrific service. But every time we eat here (and we've eaten at Seasons on many occasions), part of the meal disappoints. This time, great bread, salads and a vegetarian gnochi dish were spoiled by very undercooked, over-salted halibut and a bland ricotta cheesecake. It's a shame, because this could be a 5-star dining experience, but the food quality quality is uneven and unpredictable (sometimes great, sometimes 'off'). We'll keep trying, but at Seasons' prices, predictability should be a given."

  • "Impeccable service, outstanding cuisine - very creative flavors and presentation. We were completely awed by the caliber of our dining experience."

  • "I hosted two friends for a fun weekend. We stayed at Weekapaug, the sister property. It was the birthday for one friend and I had raved about how wonderful Ocean House is, in particular, the restaurant Seasons. My husband and I frequent Ocean House every year since it re-opened. The server, though very sweet and knowledgeable about food, was terrible. She had bad timing and lacked attention to detail. A few examples include bringing bread after the 1st course and only because I asked, forgetting the dressing for my friend's salad, and bringing an empty pitcher of milk with our coffee. She was a space cadet. The service and timing was so bad that our birthday friend mentioned it at the end. I felt so embarrassed, as she rarely complains."

  • "Having been here for lunch last Winter, we met close friends for lunch this weekend. They were amazed at how beautiful The Ocean House is and everything else about our experience was similarly delightful. The valet (they will not accept tips) took our cars, we were graciously greeted and seated on the "porch" overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Our server was both friendly and knowledgeable, salads and entrees were delivered appropriately warm (or cold) and everything was delicious. In addition to excellent food, one of the things you expect here is good service and it was impeccable with the congenial staff anxious to help fulfil any need whether they were our server or not. Pricey but worth every dollar especially for a special meal."

  • "My husband and I chose Seasons for our anniversary meal this year. Our table was front and center of the ocean. The bountiful assortment of food outstanding! The raw bar was our favorite but the eggs benedict were done to perfection as well. The atmosphere and attentive service made the experience outstanding as well. We look forward to dining there again for another special occasion."

  • "Once again, The Ocean House has exceeded my expectations. Atmosphere...Awesome, Food...Delicious, and the Service...ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS. I am not a man of lots of money, but when I do have a few extra bucks to spend, I love going to The Ocean House with friends and family. They have a way of making us feel like we are the only people there. My thanks to The Ocean House for treating me, my family and my friends like part of their family."

  • "The brunch is truly special. Great food and view. If only they could get the jazz band to stop playing brass instruments in the lobby. The volume was so loud as to be unpleasant bordering on obnoxious. Fortunately the only detraction from the otherwise pleasant brunch. I enjoy jazz music but the volume really made the band sound horrible. Should have gotten the name of the band to ensure I don't hire them in the future since they don't play to their environment. We do brunch multiple times a year here and this is the first time I have been driven from the room by the band. We had a great brunch and left with many fond memories of the food and view, but with ringing ears. . .and not sleigh bells."

  • "The view of the ocean is spectacular, the food delicious, the presentation imaginative, and the waitstaff willing to please. What's not to like (besides prices) at this gorgeous landmark restaurant?"

  • "Everything about this experience was incredible. From the valet service to the light jazz playing to the presentation and quality of the food. We enjoyed the full buffet and an entree each along with mimosas. The service was outstanding and very attentive. Will definitely make plans to enjoy again next time we visit RI"

  • "WOW! WHAT A TREAT! We were staying in R.I. at the sister property of the Ocean House and having knowt the OC from it's original (think old family beach resort in the kindest of ways) and followed the rebuilding of a magnificent resort; but Season's is a polished (very) restaurant with professional staff and a beautiful menu; NOTHING is stuffy or contrived (altho many of the guests might be!!) and you are treated so warmly; and the food rates rave reviews; it is a totally amazing place, with 100 rooms a VERY sophisticated spa and extras; really a MAJOR getaway; do your homework on this one if a get away; BUT back to Season's, it must be experienced even if you stay at a less loftier place (maybe better!), please go and have a special time!"

  • "From the valet, the door greeter, the hostess, and especially the waiter, we felt totally welcomed and knew we were in for some comfortable dining. The waiter explained all our options and answered even small questions about what went into our food preparation. The food was beautifully displayed and every bite something new that we couldn't have made at home. The sommelier approved our self-chosen wine pairing which was quite good. The topper was the "candy lady" who , upon our departure, prepared a small box of premium candy treats to take home. We shall return."

  • "You absolutely cannot beat Ocean House for brunch. Incredible selection and impecable service complimented by 180 degree views of the ocean. Champagne, raw bar, made to order crepes, a fine selection of desserts, the list goes on and on. Our server, Rebecca, was delightful. Her southern charm and hospitality fit right in with the elegant sertting of Ocean House. we brought my parents who were visiting from out of state and it was indeed a memory that they will enjoy for years to come."

  • "I was told the Ocean House was sensational, however I had to visit to believe it! Breathtaking views, amazing setting and the brunch was to die for.. Everything was top notch from start to finish. You will never want to leave!"

  • "My friends always tell me they enjoy cooking for me because no one loves and appreciates food more than I do, and my husband jokes that my life is centered around food. That said...dining at Seasons was the best restaurant experience I have ever had, including dining abroad and coast-to-coast in the States. From the moment the valet parked our car, we were treated like royalty. The service was impeccable. The impressive wine list (on an ipad!) was varied and included wonderful by-the-glass selections. I cannot say enough about the food, which was beautifully presented, innovative and incredibly delicious. If I have one bad thing to say, it's that the evening is over! We are already planning our Thanksgiving dinner visit!"

  • "My lunch consisted of a cup of clam chowder and a half of the lobster salad sandwich. The chowder was like eating thickened salted cream and butter with little clam flavoring. The lobster salad again was overly salted and I couldn't finish eating it. The plate presentation was poorly done with a large white plate with fries thrown on and the half sandwich looking lost in the space."
