  • "Food and service were very good. Enjoyed the wine with dinner. It is a distance from where I live so this would be an occasional stop when I happen to be in the area. Which is too bad if I were closer I'm sure I would visit more often."

  • "This was our second visit to the Seasons and we were not disappointed. The meals were a delight to the palate and senses as they were full of flavor and texture. The pink snapper was gently seared to perfection leaving a flaky flavor filled snapper fillet. The scallops melted in your mouth like butter as you savored the herbs and sauce that accompanied the dish. The rosemary and roasted tomato bread was outstandingly flavorful but so very light. Our server Jimi S was attentive, helpful, knowledgeable but not intrusive in assisting us experience the best of the menu. Definitely a place to visit over and over for fine dinning."

  • "5 sob's (single old broads) saw a play at Flatrock then came for dinner at 5 o'clock. Happy they open early because even though we are "party girls" we have to be home by 8:30. Only reason for not 5 stars on food was because the trout was overcooked and dry. We have been here before with no problems. We will be back again, maybe not order trout."

  • "First time dining here at recommendation of the Flat Rock Theatre. We all enjoyed our different meals. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Great food and service --- at good prices."

  • "This was our first time at Season's at Highland Lake Inn. We had visited the area to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant sits in a beautiful setting and although I would not call the view scenic, it is certainly serene, and the overall ambience is very nice. Overall service was highly attentative. The menu was varied with lots of creative dishes. I had the pan-fried grouper while my wife enjoyed the steak tenderloin with a red-wine demi glaze. Both were delightful. Further, the chef was very accommodating of our low carb diet we were trying to stidk to, despite the special occasion. Overall, a wonderful experience."

  • "Well, I had the trout, my favorite...but was over cooked and so salty I could hardly eat. The Spinach side had way too much garlic. My wife had the tenderloin that for 34.00 was nothing more than a pot roast cut of meat..."

  • "We had another couple with us for an early dinner before going to The Flat Rock Theater. Great food, service and ambience. Kept us right on schedule for our theater time."

  • "Location is 5 minute drive from flat Rock Playhouse making it ideal for pre-play dinner. Food is fresh and interestingly presented. Big portions . I had the halibut seved on a formed patty of ridotto, I think. Wonderful! Lemon-smoky flavor, took 1/2 home Pork chop was huge bone in."

  • "This was our first visit to Season's. We were pleased with everything except the noise level in the dining area (given the way it is designed) made it hard to hear each other. We had asked for a quiet table when we made our reservation online. Perhaps, the next time, I will call it and be more specific in this regard."

  • "This is a very pleasant restaurant in a former camp setting, but quite elegant for lunch. The food was excellent and well-presented. For us it was a luncheon, but it was so special we had to ask if the same was on the dinner menu. No, this was the lunch menu. Good wait staff, knew the menu and the wine list. We'll be back... for lunch and maybe dinner too."

  • "My family of 6 have been enjoying Brunch here on a regular basis for years. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and live piano. We have had brunch at many establishments across the country and abroad and this one is our top choice!"

  • "My husband and I enjoyed Sunday Brunch with my Father-in-Law. It was lovely. Food was great! It has a well balanced selection and a real treat. We really enjoyed the piano music and had no idea that a gentleman was playing it live in the other room until we were leaving. I turned the corner and was shocked! Piano music during a meal is a lost gem. It adds to the ambience and makes for a calm, peaceful experience. I had to tip him of course and was so happy to do it. Thank you Season's we cannot wait to come back!"

  • "This was a very pleasant way to spend an anniversary. This certainly qualifies as a special event place. The service was attentive, but not overbearing and the quality of everyone's meal was excellent. I hope to go back the next time I am in the area."

  • "Seasons has been one of our favorite restaurants ever since we moved to Hendersonville 16 years ago! It is consistently excellent in quality of food and service."

  • "We had dinner to celebrate 2 birthdays before attending the show at Flat Rock. First, the greeting by the hostess and waiter was so warm and welcoming. The service throughout was very professional and attentive without being intrusive. Four of us shared an excellent bottle of wine which our waiter recommended. The food was outstanding with all of us trying a different dish with pasta, beef and fish choices. The portion size was perfect so we left satiated yet not stuffed. We have been to Seasons many times in the past 4 years and it is consistently great!"

  • "It is hard to believe in the woods of WNC there would be a fine dining restaurant. We knew it was going to b good when three different couples were celebrating a birthday that day. The waitress, Shannon, was uber friendly and attentive. Food was great, fresh and well presented. Drinks were hefty. Overall a very nice place to enjoy an evening. And not overly priced."

  • "Outstanding restaurant for Sunday Brunch. We have been there many times for brunch as well as dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend it due to food quality and variety. The service is very good and the servers and staff are pleasant. The potato soup was the best I have ever had, and the beef loin was delicious, tender and flavorful. The chef even told us how he did it."

  • "Food was excellent. It was very good. Problems: no little fork for clams and means to take them out of shells. Mint sauce was not served with lamb rack, had to ask for it. No dish to put clam shells in."

  • "Good food, great company. A good time was had by all."

  • "There was a group of six near our table that was very loud. Two other parties of two and four left without ordering. Failure to quiet the group resulted in lost revenue and tips. It also means the damage to the reputation of the Season's."

  • "We go to Season's often and are never disappointed. It is a very special atmosphere and the food is always fresh and creative. The waitstaff is friendly and professional. Totally enjoyable experience!"

  • "I always expect the best at Season's and this visit didn't disappoint. The grilled peach, arugula and goat cheese salad was divine and the seared NC flounder was fresh and cooked to perfection. My dining companions also enjoyed their selections (sockeye salmon appetizers, heirloom tomato salad, Tandoori scallops and roasted chicken). I like that the chefs use local ingredients. We chose a Joel Gott cabernet which was excellent. Service was efficient but not too quick. The room was full so it was lively but not too loud. We live in Fletcher and will return again soon!"

  • "We had a great table by the window and the food was incredible. Our waiter was one of the best we have ever had. Attentive and knowledge without being intrusive. We are going back in a couple of weeks. Great place."

  • "Seasons at Highland Lake in is a rustic charmer. The food was creative and seasonal. I had the argula salad with grilled peaches and chevre to start. Fresh and delicious. Followed by spinach ravioli. Very tasty even if the pasta was a little dense. My husband had a wonderful Morrocan spice rubbed rack of lamb. Lovely flavors and cooked perfectly. The server, Jay, was efficient and friendly. The side dining area has a lovely view of a forested area with strategically place bird feeders. Very serene. We'll definitely return."

  • "We always dine at local (non-chain) restaurants when we travel on vacations. Our hope is to discover the eclectic, authentic or "the out of character" establishment. Our current batting average is .950, yes we keep score. Be sure the Season's at Highland Lake is on your list. When you arrive - rustic and unassuming. Upon entering the door - warm and welcome. The wait staff - friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The food - be sure to be hungry, not for a too generous serving, but so you may sample as much as possible. We tested off of each other's plates of course and everything was delicious. Treat your self to a truly fine experience."

  • "The food quality was good but not exceptional, the prices were a little high and portions size a little small."

  • "Seasons never disappoints with its creative menu and fresh ingredients. And the service is always friendly and prompt. We look forward to coming to Highland Lake simply because of this fine restaurant."

  • "We had out of town family visitors and for Sunday Brunch Season's was the only choice. Angie was terrific as our server as usual, and she immediately treated our guests as one of the family."
    Dined on 7/13/2014
  • "After dinning here for 10 years, I felt the rooms too noisy, wait staff unprofessional, and the food is ordinary. Soup tastedile it had canned crab in it, the clams were over seasoned with liquid smoke, and my main course was under cooked and had to be sent back - which I have never done before."

  • "My wife and I very much enjoyed a dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary before taking in a play at Flat Rock Playhouse. Excellent service. Pleasant dining environment with live music in background. Interesting menu choices and very tasty food. We plan to return."

  • "We went for my wife's 76th birthday and it was an excellent choice for a special occasion. The food was excellent, the service attentive while not being intrusive and the place itself warm and welcoming. While a little bit pricy compared to other restaurants around, one certainly gets a return on the "investment"" found at few establishments here or in other areas. We will go back soon."

  • "This is the perfect place to enjoy lunch before a matinee at Flat Rock Playhouse. Be sure you have a reservation as it was at capacity at the11:30 seating, which is the perfect time to have a relaxing meal before the play. Five minutes away from the Playhouse. Extra time before lunch can be spent walking around the grounds of the beautiful Highland Lake Inn."

  • "great place for a special dinner. food prep and presentation excellent. we had dinner prior to an evening performance at Flat Rock Playhouse and thought we had plenty of time. wait staff was good, but obviously understaffed for the "before the play crowd". recommended, but go early, i.e. 2.5 hours before show time."
