Diner Reviews
  • "Seasons has been one of our favorite restaurants ever since we moved to Hendersonville, NC."
    Dined on 4/9/2014
  • "We don't dine at Seasons very often as we are usually pretty frugal diners. However, every time we go there we are impressed. We just celebrated our anniversary there and they made it very special. From the warm greeting as we walked in, to the quiet window table, to the personable and attentive service, everything was superb. The meal itself was delightful also. Seasons is, in our opinion, the finest restaurant in the area. We highly recommend it."

  • "We were seated on time in a specially-requested spot for lunch on a weekend. Service was attentive, not overbearing. Had the apple parsnip bisque which was outstanding. Crabcakes were delicious, plating beautiful. Before or after your meal, go for a walk around the grounds and look for the baby goats and lambs in the nearby fields, they will come over to say hello! A delicious, delightful experience inside and out."

  • "We are semi-frequent guests. It is a short drive from the Greenville SC area and we love everything about Seasons. This is the 2nd visit with a couple of friends from Scotland. They also just flat love it."

  • "This was a great restaurant in Flat Rock - super service, super food, prepared really well. every detail taken care of to perfection! we will be going again."

  • "We have been coming here for years and it is always a delight. Lovely restaurant with delicious food. The Brunch on this visit was just the most tasty assortment of food and we enjoyed every morsel. Looking forward to our next visit!"

  • "Always enjoy our time at Seasons. The food is always prepared very well and they use a lot of local items. We have been going for years and will continue"
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "We have eaten here once before but this time the experience was terrific. The calamari was amazing with the addition of kalamata olives and blue cheese which was a surprisingly delicious combination. The flounder was cooked perfectly with a lightly crisp crust but the addition of shaved roasted brussel sprouts was a really nice addition. We were surprised there weren't more people at the restaurant as the quality was superb and the prices were very affordable. We will be back!"

  • "Server Chris provided exceptional service without hovering. The food was wonderful as usual. The noise was excessive, but that was due to the clientele present. I'm certain that the management was as disturbed as I was about it. Chocolate Decadence dessert is highly recommended."

  • "Our server, Chris, did a wonderful job in making our visit to Seasons great. He was, pleasant, knowledgeable, there when we wanted or needed him, had great recommendations, and simply one of the best servers ever!"

  • "While a little on the pricey side, at least for me, this restuarant is so worth it. The food is delicious. The hostess and waiters are always friendly and attentive. Go anytime, but the Sunday brunch is a good deal. Honestly, I could keep gushing on and on about this place, so just trust me. Go!"

  • "We had our honeymoon brunch here. Very pleasant atmosphere, though there were several guests, we were able to easily converse. Very pleasant staff that served without hovering. Made is feel very welcome. The food was wonderful. A nice variety, all very tasty."

  • "We have experienced The Seasons on two other occasions and it is our favorite. Everything about it was perfect from the reception to the dessert and all of the delicious foods in between. The live mood music was a perfect classy touch and the staff was extremely friendly and professional. From romance to relaxation I would recommend the Seasons to all. pal"

  • "The Seasons provides fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. The incorporation of local delicacies, mushrooms, cheeses, organic vegetables, trout, make the menu selection and food deliciously unique to the Seasons. The chef provides plenty of classics and more adventuresome dishes from which to choose. My husband does not mind spending money for a quality meal and wine. He abhors getting dressed in business or evening attire. So thanks to the Seasons, he is made welcome in casual attire (usually a polo and khakis/nicer jeans) and we get to enjoy an evening out without a lot of fuss to get ready. On cool evenings, you might want to bring a sweater, wrap, or that dreaded sports jacket as it can be a little cool at the view/window seats."

  • "I took my Sweetie there for Valentines Day. We went on Saturday Night (the day after). The service was great. We had a drink at the Bar. The Bartender and the drinks were excellent. Great food. Very Happy !!"
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "The food, service, and atmosphere were very good and we had a very enjoyable time. The coffee was substandard (weak and burnt tasting) for a restaurant with such high standards. As we were leaving we noticed the coffee was kept on burners at the waitress station... this explains the stale burnt taste. Too bad, because everything else was very good."

  • "our server is Patrick, the occassion was Valentines Day; my wife called it "Very Romantic." The Mango Moscato was especially delicious with the Lobster Bisque followed by a mouth watering cut of beef grilled to perfection. Our desert selection was Squash Cheescake topped with fig that would make any Thankgiving pie taste insignificant. It was a suppurb ending to a wonderful Valentines Day. And a special thanks to Patrick for his gracious service."

  • "We had chosen Seasons for our Valentine evening because of previous lovely experiences. The table was decorated nicely, especially with the rose given to my companion. The special menu choices were enticing. The lobster bisque was a good start and quite pleasant. I ordered the bass, since it was "local". It lacked the freshness I expected; I came close to sending it back. My companion had the heart of rib eye; she would have preferred a small tenderloin filet for taste and tenderness. The wine we chose was a very nice burgundy. The bread pudding dessert seem little more that decorated croutons. In all, this meal did not measure up to the several better meals we have had at Seasons before."

  • "I took my wife here for her birthday and it couldn't have worked out better. The food was fantastic, the ambiance was perfect, and the service was outstanding. Definitely one of the pricier restaurants in the area but well worth it for special occasions."
    Dined on 2/7/2014
  • "We were promptly seated by a window where we could enjoy seeing squirrels feed. We have eaten Sunday brunch here several times and never been disappointed. The menu is online several days prior to Sunday, which is helpful. Each item is deliciously made with special spicing. Meyer lemon in the crafted "tartar sauce" for the beer battered cod, for example. All salad dressings are made at the restaurant and, in season, they utilize fresh herbs grown in their own herb garden. Service is consistently on spot too. Their coffee is amazing and makes the desserts even more special. Reasonable price given the quality."

  • "We dined with a couple we had just met and wanted to get to know better. We enjoyed a leisurely evening with plenty of time to chat over a glass of wine before even ordering. Our dinner was excellent and I am looking forward to dining here again."

  • "We've lived in Hendersonville for 10 years and, for some reason, have never had dinner here. But after attending a company X-Mas party this years, we decided to visit for dinner while my folks were in town for the Holidays. We are now kicking ourselves for not visiting sooner as the service/food/atmosphere was fantastic. In the past, we have driven to Asheville when we are craving a very nice meal, but we will no longer have to venture that far. We look forward to many more visits in the future and cannot wait to visit in the warmer months when the extra daylight allows us to see more of the grounds."

  • "Three of us went for dinner the day after Christmas. Service, ambience etc were excellent. One of our meals was not exactly up to standard but the other two were fantastic, thus the vg rating for food. AND we were comped for the less satisfactory meal. This is my new favorite restaurant. Go!!!"

  • "We love Seasons! Enjoyed going with our family for Christmas Day Brunch. My husband and I also like it as a quiet spot to relax and enjoy a leisurely Sunday brunch. The views are great, especially on a snowy day!"
    Dined on 12/25/2013
  • "My family dined at Season's Restaurant on Christmas Day--this was our first time eating out on this holiday. We arrived at the time of our reservation, and were told it would be a few minutes until our table was ready. 50 minutes later we were seated. The hostess never once apologized or gave us an update on our table. The food was great, the wait staff friendly and attentive, and I'm sure I would've spent much longer than 50 minutes preparing our meal at home, but better planning and communication from the hostess would've made it a more satisfying experience."

  • "We have had consistently good meals whenever we have gone to this restaurant. The ambiance makes it a special occasion."
    Dined on 12/25/2013
  • "We went on Christmas day and the place was packed. Overall it's a pretty nice place. A little pricey for a buffet style dinner although it was Christmas day. I did not like the fact that they took the liberty to add the gratuity into the bill for a group of 4. I can see a larger group but not a group of 4, but again it was Christmas day."
    Dined on 12/25/2013
  • "As always, Season's at Highland Lake Inn served a lovely Sunday brunch prior to Christmas. They started with unique soups and a salad bar, added a mushroom frittata or standard scrambled eggs and bacon, cheesy grits, pancakes, entrees of chicken, trout or carved roast beef, sides of broccoli, maple carrots or a brussels sprouts casserole, and delicious desserts of cheesecake, apple crisp or chocolate mousse cake with real whipped cream. You can't go wrong at Seasons! Bring the family!"

  • "This is a gem located in Flat Rock. My husband and I ate there after going to Flat Rock Playhouse. The staff is extremely helpful. That night there was live acoustic singing which added to the atmosphere. The food there is delicious. I had a wonderful time and will be going back"

  • "The Seasons is one of our favorite restaurants! The food is delicious with interesting selections artfully presented. The service is excellent and it's quiet enough to have a conversation without struggling to hear."

  • "We drove 113 miles (both ways) for an anniversary lunch at Seasons. We think the food is that good. We have never been disappointed with the food or service."
    Dined on 12/14/2013
  • "The food had some issues. The trout had an overwhelming charcoal flavor that really detracted from the dish. The tenderloin of beef was not done very well at all, again that overwhelming charcoal taste and tough. (is it added on purpose?) that ruined the taste of the cut. The creme brulee that we had for dessert had the sugar literally charcoaled and burnt on the top ruining the flavors of the dish. This is not an inexpensive dinner destination and one would hope the food would be better."

  • "What a gem. Beautiful setting, amazing food and wonderful staff. What else could you hope for?"

  • "This is the second time we have spent out Thanksgiving with The Seasons and it was wonderful again."
    Dined on 11/28/2013
  • "We've been to Seasons for their usual brunch buffet and thought it would be great for an easy Thanksgiving this year. We brought people from out of town for the special occasion. The service and ambiance was nice but the food was very disappointing. We felt at $40 a person the food would be absolutely perfect but things were overcooked and incredibly salty. The mashed potatoes were like soup for our first round and then better later on. Overall the food was very inconsistent and just not special at all. We were very upset that our family Thanksgiving was not better."
    Dined on 11/28/2013
  • "Four of us had an afternoon Thanksgiving feast at Seasons listening to live guitar music, enjoying a beautifully presented and delicious buffet, attended to by a pleasant, competent server. The stations on the buffet had a wide array of choices that would seem to accommodate any food preferences. The buffet was fresh and abundant. I am looking forward to going there again and trying their menu items. Highly recommend this restaurant."
