Season's at Highland Lake InnFirst time was a good timeMy wife and I had a great time at the Seasons. The food and the service was excellent. The walk around the property after dinner was pleasant.
Our waitress was cheerful and the waiting team was efficient. our dinner was pre-theater completing a great date.

It was a struggle ordering because there were so many interesting dishes on the menu. We ended up with the chicken and the pork and both were very flavorful and unique. The fresh farm to table means the raw ingredients started the trend that the chef maintained and built upon. We order the duck, halibut,scallops and a filet. All were passed around and enjoyed. Salads were good as well - Bibb lettuce with blue cheese. The pickled shrimp app needs some work - sent it back. The foiciha bread brought to the table had to be right out of the oven - very good. Service was attentive and not over bearing .. The restaurant did not have loud music playing which is to us very annoying and too common these days. It is nice to be able to have a conversation with the person you are dining with. The food was very flavorful and nicely presented. We had reservations for an early dinner at 6:00 so it was not crowded. The window tables are nice as they look out into the garden which is lovely. It was a special occasion, my mother inlaws 83rd birthday. She is hard to please and I am happy to say she cleaned her plate! The music was quite good but the vocals were not. His guitar w/o his voice would have been a much better choice. the food was of very good quality and I found the detailed hardcopy listing useful as well as interesting. I do think you should have a non-fried fish or seafood option. Most of the food was pretty heavy; i wish you'd had some lighter dishes and especially some lighter side items. Bread, both sour dough and biscuit, were of marginal quality. the Tres Leche' was not that good. I have had much better for sure.
