  • "We ate at Seasons 52 on Dine LA week. For $35 we each got five full size courses of excellent food rather than the usual three. The flatbread was delicious and the main courses of steak and pork loin, nicely done. Dessert was a choice of one of 8 different mini-parfait glasses brought to the table and described by the waiter. Accompanied by moderate priced excellent wine the dinner was a great success."

  • "We had a birthday dinner for 5 on a Sunday evening. We ate in the room adjacent to the outdoor patio -- a lovely room with one wall open to the outside and with views of the ocean. The service was excellent. Most of the food was outstanding -- flatbreads, very fresh veggies, and great desserts. One person had steak and declared it fabulous. My Copper River salmon was overcooked and dry. One person's rack of lamb was also overcooked. So the salmon and lamb were quite disappointing -- high quality ingredients spoiled by overcooking. We'll go to this restaurant again because of the location, good service and overall good food. But the kitchen needs a bit of help."

  • "Great atmosphere, the chili was amazing, scallops were cooked perfectly, and you must try the mini deserts! Great organic/GMO free beer selection. It is also in a great location with a view of the ocean and Santa Monica Pier. Only complaint was the server was not as attentive as we would have liked, and they were not very busy when we were there. But the previous server was fantastic, so I will not hold it against them."

  • "Go to South Coast Plaza S-52 freq since opening. Best in all respects. Santa Monica is a pale copy. Not saying this cuz of bias towards SCP, it's just that I know the S-52 drill, and SM "ain't it!" SM had "lost" kids at front desk not up to the task. I called ahead 2x to honor reservation saying we were stuck in traffic. Got "whatever". Didn't even ask our name. Server seated us w/o even looking us in eye; busy eyeing a pretty girl. Mgr & servers collected nearby often & gossiped abt guests--making fun of them! REALLY? Server cont'd to be short, busy, brusk. Asked for more "chips" for hummus. After a wait, he brought them to table wrapped in a napkin and just dropped them on table w/o a word. Lots of other little no-no's, but no room here."

  • "Love the IDEA of this place....seasonal freshness, menu changing accordingly. Along with the flat breads, the individual desserts in little glasses are the bomb. Just about 5 bites, and who needs more than that after a big lunch? The service was very friendly and accommodating. All in all, it was worth the drive from San Juan Capistrano."

  • "I am a devotee of my local Seasons 52, but this particular dinner was wide of the standard set in previoius visits in a variety of locations. I brought 2 guests who had never eaten at a Seasons 52 before (yes, there are still such rare creatures!), and contrary to prior visits, no one exclaimed, "Ummm, this is delicious!" when their meal came. Neither did I when I ventured beyond my favorite cedar planked salmon to try the trout. Equally important (I'm downplaying it--I live for dessert), my dessert was uninspiring and room temperature, which seemed inappropriate for the whipped cream and mousse. I hope this was just an off night. "

  • "We used to go there when it was "I Cugini" because we loved the appetizers during Happy Hour. We rediscovered it when it opened as Seasons 52 and we were delighted with how they changed the layout of the bar and dining area. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting. The live music is excellent, ideal for listening and soft enough to allow for conversation. The service is excellent and the wine list is very complete. The menu is wonderful, highly sophisticated and low on calories. The tuna tartare is amazing and the flatbread pizzas are unique. We highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Seasons 52 has become one of my favorite restaurants. This last visit I brought 2 friends from England as well as my 89 year old mother in law. They all loved the food, setting and service. This was the first time I had sat in the smaller room that looked out onto the patio. It was lovely and we enjoyed listening to the music. Overall another lovely evening. Thank you!"

  • "We came here for an early dinner. The hostess gave us a good place with ocean view. Ordered two glasses of white wine. The prices are not cheap but the wines are. Ordered two salads, nothing special. Ordered a lamb rack. The restaurant claims that they don't use electric or gas ovens for cooking, only wood stove. But what about not to burn the meat to black crust? Nobody asked how do we like the meat to cook. They just burned the meat and that's it. At first there were so many persons asking us if everything's ok. But when it's the time to order dessert there's nobody. Asked the barman. He asked who is our waiter. Do we really need to memo who he was? The dessert was very small even for me but I eat less than a typical American. Sad."

  • "I was excited about this place when I read that their menu was based on fresh seasonal fare and they had vegetarian options. They also had our two fav wines. So we arrived and no server ever acknowledged us. The place wasn't busy at all. I had to ask a passing server if they knew who our server was. We ordered a bottle of wine and that took another 15 min before we had it on our table. Then we ordered our food and we were pretty excited about all the great veggie options. When our food came, it didn't look fresh at all. It looked limp and over cooked or day old. The flavor or lack of it matched the appearance. So disappointing. Everything was pretty flavorless. This explains why the place wasn't busier. Server was nice though."

  • "This was my fourth time at the restaurant. I have been pleased with the food the previous visits. However, on Mother's Day, I felt the food to be subpar. I know holidays are always more difficult for restaurants. The lobster flatbread and the crispy tuna salad were delicious. The three of us that got entrees were not thrilled and we ended up not eating everything, nor taking it home. The scallops were dry and when I asked for something to dip them in, the two choices that came out did not help. One was an asian dressing and one was a vegetable glaze. The vegetable tasting platter had one good item, the taco. My husband did love his carrot cake dessert and he was pleased with his meal but it was just an appetizer, the lamb kefta."

The food was fresh and flavorful, the service (Craig) was excellent, we received a discount on our meal from an eblast I signed up for, plus the entire menu is UNDER 500 calories! Craig made wonderful recommendations and his attention to service added to a great evening. My boyfriend LOVES their filet. He says the the best because it's flavorful without feeling rich and heavy. I had the branzino (fish special) which was very good as well. Oh and the lobster flatbread and mini desserts...... Amazing. Can't wait to go back. "

  • "We have dined at Seasons 52 several times and LOVE going there. The wait staff is well trained, the ambiance is delightful and the food is outstanding. The only suggestion I have is that sometimes the piano is too loud in the restaurant and it is difficult to chat with friends. But that is a minor consideration to all that is amazing@"
