Diner Reviews
  • "Our server, Karlee, was professional in her knowledge and service but also was comfortable enough to be personal and share our laughs. The food was very good. My salad was the perfect size to allow for an appetizer, a craft brew, & a small dessert. The live music was a special touch. I will be coming back again. My only suggestion would be to get the prices down a step. $90 for two salads, 2 drinks and two very small desserts keeps this to an occasional visit for me."

  • "Helpful, enthusiastic wait-staff, very nice ambiance. Light, healthy food and cut, tasty little desserts. We have dined here numerous times and the food is generally very tasty and well-prepared. I would normally give it a 5 but this time the scallops were a bit over-cooked and tough; even so, we will be back again soon."

  • "This was our first visit and it will NOT be the last. Incredible food - fresh - innovative! Very quiet at lunch. Unlike many restaurants where you have to shout, we could actually hear each other. "

  • "We dine at Seasons 52 in several locations and the food is consistently delicious and healthy. However, at the San Diego location the service was really lacking. No one came back to the table after our food was served. Our water and wine glasses were empty (this was true for all 5 of us) We would liked more wine but could not get it. We had to get up and go searching for the check. This is not acceptable. In Sacramento we eat at the bar, where I find the service is excellent."

  • "We had friends visiting from Houston who had not been to San Diego in many many years. We chose Seasons 52 to accommodate vegetarians and because we prefer local, fresh, seasonal offerings. Once again, everything on the new spring menu was tempting. The entree salad was huge, the lobster flatbread tasty with that wonderfully thin crusty crust, asparagus done perfectly, and my scallops tender. The fish filleted table side was a nice touch. The best of all are the desserts. Who can afford the calories usually? But here they are beautifully presented and with just the right number of bites to put the perfect guilt-free topping on the night. Delish."

  • "Pros: 1) Service is attentive It was the first time we visited the restaurant, after we got a table and started to look around checking out the bar and the kitchen area, not sure if she is the manager, she asked if we are looking for service and offered if anything she can do for us. We were quite impressed. Also, our server noticed my cup of hot water was almost empty and offered to bring some additional. 2) This restaurant is good for groups, they have some big long tables for at least 8-10 people as well as some medium size round tables for 5-6 people. Cons - Parking!!"

  • "Two days later and I'm still thinking about the Salmon:) wow!"

  • "Excellent service. Manager came over and introduced himself, even came over to say good-bye when we left. Food was delicious! Made reservations on my way out for my Mom's birthday!"

  • "I booked the reservation and indicated it was a birthday celebration. But unfortunately, not everyone in the party arrived on time. Therefore sending the front door team scurrying to accommodate the change. The guest relations and servers were warm and welcoming. Although this was my second time dining here, the other guest in my party were first timers and enjoyed the experience. Great time all around."

  • "Love that Seasons 52 opened at the Headquarters. Much closer than the UTC location. I personally like the idea of knowing all of the food is healthy and fresh and not full of hidden calories and fat. It would be nice to see some more salad options with more vegetables. Both the fish-protein salads only offered fruits and not vegetables. I love the variety at Seasons52's most notable opponent in Fashion Valley, in that many salads offer more of a vegetable or gluten free grain option. We had the edamame to start, which was generous and tasty. Husband had the Branzino, which was delicious and had nice sides. Daughter 1 had kid's chicken with mashed potatoes, which were very bland. Daughter 2 had flatbread, which was simple, but tasty."

  • "We were a party of four and EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious. The waiter explained each dish we ordered and made some other suggestions. This will definitely be added to the list of wonderful restaurants to recommend to friends."

  • "My wife and I are frequent Seasons 52 diners. We've mostly diner at the La Jolla/University Towne Center location. That location has consistently excellent service and is convenient to the ArcLight movie theater. However, the major drawback there is the excessively noisily ambiance which makes dinner time conversation difficult. By contrast, our experiences at the Downtown/Headquarters have been different. That location has a superior ambiance with a much lower noise level making dinner conversation more pleasant. Unfortunately, the service at that location hasn't been nearly as attentive or as personable as the La Jolla location."

  • "I love the concept of this restaurant. The cedar plank salmon with the mustard dill sauce was second only to the knowledge and professionalism of our waiter. Thank you Jake!"

  • "First time to Seasons 52. The menu offered many options that all sounded good. I had the Lobster Spring Rolls and the Scallops. They were both delicious. My husband had the Kale Caesar Salad and the Rainbow Trout. He loved them as well. It's nice to find food in a restaurant that's healthy to eat, but that also tastes good! My only complaint is that the atmosphere was a little noisy."

  • "My husband and I went to the restaurant for their winter menu and the food was - meh. The spring menu was really good. I started with the asparagus soup (divine), my husband had the lobster rolls (good). I had the lamp chops for dinner which were quite good, but a little too charred. My husband had the filet - also good. I'd love if they would do something different and seasonal for dessert. They have those mini cups filled with a cream type, sugary pudding-ish texture and they just are not special since PF Changs already started this trend."

  • "Flatbread was charred on two edges ... replaced by server. Turkey burger lacked flavor. Lemonade and iced tea were weak. Service was good, food was only fair."

  • "While on vacation in San Diego we decided to eat here because we had heard many good things about Seasons 52. The place is charming with ambiance both inside and outside. Unfortunately you can't see the marina from the restaurant but this is minor when you consider the overall experience of dining here. While they were out of my first choice (Pork tenderloin) I settled on Filet mignon with asparagus as my second choice. Everything is very fresh and tasty, presentation is excellent. Portion size was perfect for both of us and you didn't feel guilty eating dessert at the end because they were perfectly sized. We would gladly go back again."

  • "Had a guy training to be a waiter, he has a ways to go but was a nice guy. My bill was wrong and was charged for things I didn't order, the regular waiter was very good, Calvin."

  • "They had the nerve to report us to Open Table as a no-show. We arrived shortly before our reservation and we're told that they were having technical difficulties that prevented them from cooking food. Then they reported us."

  • "Had a reservation for 5 and then 45 minutes prior called to add 4 more. Kenneth was extremely accommodating and was able to seat us on the patio with the heaters. Service at the table was also phenomenal and food was beautiful. Would never have guessed less than 500 calories because I was completely satisfied."

  • "The décor to this establishment was beautiful. Very polite staff that made you feel very welcome. My waitress was extremely friendly but a bit slow when it came to delivering drinks & food and failed to keep us informed as to why it was taking so long. Overall, I will return & recommend this place to friends for it's menu options and ambiance."

  • "As a vegetarian, I find my restaurant choices limited. Not so here! I had many delicious options, and my non-vegetarian dining companion liked the choices so much that he opted for a vegetarian selection as well. Neither of is was disappointed: quite to the contrary. The servers were solicitous, if a little too present, but my iced tea never drilled below half full before a fresh glass appeared. Well done!"

  • "Part of the chain in the newly refurbished Old Police Headquarters. Very elegant decor, sleek, darkish but comfortable. Service was quick and friendly. One of our party's order was mislaid and his food didn't arrive with the others. A chef came out to apologize and offered a complimentary flatbread. Very pleasant dinning experience."

  • "Ilse turned 95 this month and received a surprise visit from her grand daughter. I reserved a table online at Seasons 52 with ease and we received Excellent Service from Dylan while enjoying great food with a low noise level. The staff were very pleasant and worked hard to make our visit a positive and memorable occasion."

  • "The menu offered a nice variety of well-prepared, flavorful dishes, including options to satisfy "clean" dieters, and the wine list offered a great selection. I was, however, disappointed with the service. It is apparent that this restaurant is trying to sell itself as a 5-star dining option, but it just isn't so."

  • "This was a last minute choice yet we were able to get in with only an hour's notice for a reservation on a Saturday night. Dinner was excellent... the beet salad with goat cheese was delicious. I also had the goat cheese ravioli appy for dinner and it was absolutely yummy (although it didn't need quite so much onion au jus). Everyone ordered various appetizers, salads, dinners, specialty drinks, and the mini indulgences, and everything was just perfect. No complaints except maybe the mushrooms in the stuffed mushroom appetizers were too big. When did you ever hear THAT? The ruby red grapefruit vodka (an infused vodka drink) was recommended by our waitress and she was spot on with the recommendation -- it was delicious! Truly enjoyable."

  • "Nothing outstanding , nothing terrible. Drinks-fine. Salad-fine. Scallops - underwhelming . Desserts - nice because they are just very small offerings. Presented in a small cordial glass. Perfect when you just want a little taste of something sweet. Mine was some kind of lemon pound cake , with lemon pudding. Very tasty. The general noise, just from people taking , is quite loud. Which is surprising , since it's fully carpeted. Sounded like a High School cafeteria ."

  • "You may be as shocked as I was as to how amazing everything can be, even with so little calories! Highly recommend the lobster flatbread as an appetizer. As good as my salmon was, everything is overshadowed by that flatbread! My date had a large chicken salad, and she loved it. Lastly, don't skip on the dessert. I recommend the chocolate and peanut butter brownie one... I'll be back at Seasons 52, likely many many times!"

  • "We celebrated a birthday here.....complementary desserts for all after a healthy meal of salads and fish tacos...accommodating service, we're all gluten free so the tacos were done in a lettuce wrap as there is wheat in the tortillas....great service....a bit noisy as the day went on and the restaurant filled up..."
