Seasons 52 - Oak Brook
Seasons 52 was a pleasant surpriseThe food was very good as was the service. Especially enjoyed the "mini desserts". They make you feel less guilty for having dessert and they were quite delicious. Portions were just right and presentation was quite nice.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthdayWe were there for my son's 24th birthday. We had family, including a 4 month old baby. 3 of the group were vegetarians. Everybody loved their food. The flatbread pizza app was a hit, as was the hummus appetizer. Can recommend the filet, the pork tenderloin, the shrimp/pasta dish. The veggers loved that, not only were there options on the main menu but there were additional choices on a separate menu. Outstanding service. We will definitely return.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMNice Spot. Not very kid friendlyI have been to this restaurant before in Orlando and thought the food and atmosphere was good. I was there for a business dinner last time so didnt notice this issue - its not very kid/toddler friendly. They did not have high chairs available (only like 3 in the entire restaurant) and no booster seats. They sat us in the bar because it was the only place my son could reach the table. This was a challenge for my two month old because of the live music. They also do not offer any kid activity (crayons, etc.). Just something to consider if you are bringing the little ones to dine here.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMYummyLove the menu that changes with the season and the weekly specials. There is always something new. Our waitress was friendly and knew the menu. She was able to guide us towards a great wine. Spinach and goat cheese flatbread to die for, as was the Copper River salmon. And don't even get me started on those fabulous desserts in a shot glass. A definite yes. My only issue is the restaurant can get loud making it hard at times to hear the conversation.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat FoodWe shared a salad. Perfect amount of delicious dressing and plenty for both of us. We both had salmon. It was very moist and perfectly done. Delicious! Left feeling very satisfied even after having one of the mini desserts. Great experience.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMChef gets an A+I have several food allergies. The chef modified my food selection - it was excellent. Great for lunch and dinner!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for the health conscious!Wonderful food, my new favorite restaurant! Loved all the nutritional information being available and the food was low calorie and delicious!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday at Seasons 52I have been there several times and this time, I included a note with my reservation indicating we were celebrating a birthday. Seasons 52 added some special touches including a birthday card on the table when we arrived; our server Charles, who was excellent, presented the mini desserts with a candle, took a group photo and presented it to the birthday girl. Decor is upscale and "elegantly rustic" with alot of wood and stone: the bar is spacious and comfortable and the live music is great addition. Service was attentive and relaxed. We had several flatbreads and the crab stuffed mushrooms - all great. The Copper River Salmon entree was outstanding and the mini desserts are fun and delicious! Very pleased each time and highly recommend!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service and deliciousGreat service and delicious food! Especially the desserts.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent. OurThe food was excellent. Our table enjoyed the sea scallops, shrimp, and strip steak, as well as the roasted asparagus. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was also delicious. Loved the mini desserts. Nice wine selection. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The noise level was very loud making it difficult to have a conversation. We would come again, hoping to pick a quieter time of day.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat in the BarWent with a vegetarian...had plenty of choices for both of us. We actually had dining room reservations but decided to eat at the bar instead. The drinks were perfect and the wine selection was above average. Food was terrific, fairly simple but good. Grilled veggies, salmon was delicious. (Maybe fit for foodies but not for super-foodies...no molecular gastronomy.) The bar team was fun and competent. They had a piano player (which is usually something I avoid) but the volume was manageable and song choices were a nice mix.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful restaurantNot only is the menu healthier and creative, the whole experience is just better than it is at other places. The presentation of the desserts is very cool, and they are delicious as well. Not huge chunks of cake, small/reasonable tastes of wonderful desserts.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFOOD WAS GOOD...SERVICE EXCELLENT..FOOD WAS GOOD...SERVICE EXCELLENT...NOISE- TOO LOUD WITH ONE -HALF FULL RESTAURANT6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMA true "find"This was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. My husband was a little leery about the low cal menu, but was pleasantly surprised. We both came away feeling satisfied, not stuffed. We actually had 3 littel desserts bewtween us and it was perfect.
Kudos to the concept and the staff.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMhad a lovely romantic dinnerhad a lovely romantic dinner with my husband. We had a delicious chicken curry soup and garden salad. The pork tenderloin and polenta and cooper river salmon meals were outstanding. Great wine and drink list and of course who can pass up the mini desserts. Mango cheesecake and a mocha, espresso/chocolate dessert. YUM.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMNice place for a celebrationWe took our young friends to celebrate a special occasion and everybody enjoyed the food and service.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful meal and experience. The ambience is very warm and welcoming and the food was delicious. I had the lemongrass salmon salad and it was one of the best restaurant entrees I've ever had. My friend had the scallops with vegetable medley and she raved about it all night. The dessert was excellent and I love the method of preparing and serving desserts that they use.
We sat in the main dining area, but nearby there was a live singer in the bar area.
This was my third time here and my friend's first. We would both return or recommend it to others.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGirlfriends GatheringA perfect place to go with girlfriends. This was my third time at Seasons52 but the first time for my five friends. The menu generated many questions but our waitress was patient and answered them with clarity. By the time we finished our main course everyone was planning a time to come with other friends and family for a Seasons52 experience. Thank you for never disappointing!6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Birthday Dinner for my wife!Even though we sat in the bar, we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience with our family of six. The service was excellent. The food and wine were perfect!6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding attention to detailIt was our anniversary-which I just mentioned in the request/comment section of the reservation-and every person we encountered from the moment we gave our name at the desk celebrated us. Their special attention lasted the entire night, including complimentary champagne and commemorative wine glasses. Plus the food was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the service was EXCELLENT. Shelia and the entire staff at Seasons 52 were amazing and made the night extra special.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMSeating is a problemMy only complaint about this restaurant is the booth seating. I've been there twice in a party of 6 adults (all age 60+). Both times we were seated in a corner round booth which was cramped, uncomfortable and difficult to get in and out of. Most adults don't enjoy the experience of trying to slide into (and worse, out of) a large booth. Why do restaurants persist in this type of seating? A round table would have been so much more pleasant. For the price, I don't think a comfortable seating arrangement is too much to ask.
On the plus side, the food is wonderful and the service was very good.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMJosh rocksOur server, Josh, was just delightful. He recommended items and pairings with wine, and overall made us feel as if we were the only table he had that night. Oh, and the salmon was great too.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious! What a great experience! The food, wine, and service was top notch. Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared and delivered quickly. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Seasons 52 will be on our restaurant short list.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMDining experienceThis was another good night at Seasons 52. My girlfriend & I really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and the wait staff. We were at the Seasons 52 two weeks prior in Schaumburg and enjoyed that as well. The decor and the ambiance are really outstanding. Great place to take a date.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI was skeptical of the amountI was skeptical of the amount of food offered under 475 cal. but left feeling full and enjoying the glow5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous, as always! We took our friends to Seasons 52 in Oak Brook. It was there first time and they loved it! The service and food was fabulous, as always!!5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistentI have visited this restaurant several times and at different times during the day. The food and service have been great each time. It also has a nice wine list and will allow a taste to be certain that it is suitable.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food and serviceFriendly service, and a reasonably priced menu with portions that satisfy but don't leave you feeling like you've over eaten.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat concept -Love Seasons 52 - great concept seasonal fresh at reasonable prices. Excellent dinner, wine list and server. Only complaint I have is that we were seated at the bar and there was a piano player/singer and he was loud. Would request next time not to sit in the bar area.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicous food, great atmosphereWe went as a group of 6. The service was impeccable. We brought our own wine ($15 corkage) and the server brought a decanter which we don't usually get. The food was delicious and it is nice to leave a restaurant not stuffed to the point of bursting but having a nice meal and feeling full. The mini desserts were a hit. I would only recommend a table a little further from the bar (the bar was on the other side of the wall) as the guy at the piano was a bit distracting. I would go back in a heartbeat! This is definitely a new "go to" place for me.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI think the filet I had wasI think the filet I had was one of the BEST of my life. Everything was good. Loved the desserts, the size of them and the taste. I will definitely come back and recommend your restaurant.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWeekend Lunch at OakbrookMy wife and I certainly enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant formerly occupied by a seafood restaurant. However, there has been extensive rebuilding and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The food was well prepared and service was excellent with the staff friendly and helpful in making suggestions and knowing the items on the menu. We sat at a booth in the bar area, which was just fine for us and enjoyed the great food and time spent there. We plan to return.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMHealthy meals.
It is a good change of pace.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMperfect birthday celebrationThe appetizers were great, followed by our delectable dishes..wow. The tuna was phenomenal. our server me the experience even better by comping our dessert.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently excellent & creative! My favorite Oak Brook restaurant with creative locators food and reasonable prices. Love their I desserts too!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMSpring menuMade a visit to try their spring menu. It did not disappoint. We are trying each of the menus as they change with the seasons. It is our favorite place.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat FindA group of us dined at this restaurant to celebrate a friend's 60th birthday. We had a blast! I thought the food was good and the concept really original. Since the entrée was under 500 calories, I felt no guilt in having a few desserts. Our waiter was outstanding and we almost stayed until closing! Great restaurant!!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMCustomer Service at its best!!Words can not describe the level of customer service that my friend and I received at this restaurant. Amber was totally awesome. This wasn't the first time that I've dined here though...the first waiter "thought" I ordered chicken but I ordered fish...nonetheless he fixed his goof up! Anyway, from the moment we sat down to the moment we left, her service was impeccable! The food was awesome too - try the dessert flights....one of my personal favs...Key Lime! Due to the fact that Amber's service was so awesome, I believe I left a pretty hefty tip. She totally deserved every penny of it!
Way to go Amber!!5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat healthy diningBeautiful upscale restaurant with healthy options throughout the menu.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother fantastic eveningAnother fantastic evening with Seasons 52. Enjoyed all entrees from steak to lamb chops to veal steak to trout. We have never been disappointed with any of our visits to Seasons 52.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMTry it; you'll like itNice menu. Tasty. Good place for a business lunch.
Have been there for dinner as well and it's a favorite for my wife.
Wait staff isn't intrusive and is knowledgeable about the menu,
Go Cubs!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent seasonal menu...theExcellent seasonal menu...the mini desserts are fun!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, loud barAs always, I enjoy the wonderful food at Seasons 52. However, the singer in the bar was a bit loud, so much that it made it difficult to hear my dining companion. Also, it seems as if the poor man sang every song known to man in one continuous stream. It was a bit lounge-singer-like to me.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMMeal with FriendsWe met good friends for a late lunch. Food, excellent. Atmosphere, pleasant. A bit noisy when we sat down, but became fine for our conversation level. Service, pleasant and proficient. Easy access for parking.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAre you sure? It's hard to believe when they deliver the food, that these large, wonderfully looking and tasting dishes are 475 calories or less. The servers make sure they note the name on the reservations and any special occasion. They are ready to serve without being obtrusive. Great location - easy to get to in the mall. Have to remember to keep this one on the list.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSurpisingly very goodOk, I did not have high hopes when my wife made this reservation - it's at OakBrook mall, and my experiences there are never really that great. However, the food here was outstanding - try the chile rellenos for an appetizer or the tuna for an entree. Portions are smaller (as are the calories), but the taste is still there. The dessert we had - carmel and pecans was seriously one of the best I've had (although it was pretty small). Service took ~5 minutes to greet us, and I did not see any bus people filling water, etc., but otherwise the meal was great. Would definitely go back.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMA very interesting concept.A very interesting concept. Food was very tasting and every entry is less than 475 calories.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMLove it but not kid friendlyI have dined at seasons 52 in a few locations and I love it for a nice casual meal and a very nice wine list. Love the lemon grass salmon salad!!
I brought my two grandchildren with me at 5:30, thought it would be early enough not to disturb the main dining crowd. They have a verbal children's menu and the items the kids ordered were very good and the kids loved it however, they did not have kids cups or a printed kids menu or things that would make you feel the restaurant encourages families. The kids loved the mini desserts and have said it is their new favorite restaurant ! Those huge glass water glasses are hard for the little ones to drink out of and we had to ask for a straw. Do they encourage families? Not sure.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was good not great. SalmonFood was good not great. Salmon great veggies cold. Replacement arrive at the end of meal.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food. WaitstaffDelicious food. Waitstaff very friendly and kowledgeable about their menu.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
