Have eaten here before and have always enjoyed the food and service. This time was different though. We had an early Sunday dinner, so the place wasn't busy yet. Our server was VERY "attentive", she spoke fast; it came off as being rushed. We ordered an app, and as our entrees came out I had to ask for the app. The server apologized and took it off our bill, but again - just contributed to feeling rushed. The crushed potatoes that came with a couple of entrees appeared like an after-thought by the chef and were not that good. Some of the veggie sides were also below par. Each of our main dishes were very good though (pork tenderloin, rainbow trout and the branzino)! We will go back, but this was a bit disappointing - maybe just an off night.

'Had lunch with my cousins there and the food was delicious. Everyone had something different so there was a chance to see/taste a little bit of it. Every entree was warm and tasty. For dessert, try the "flights." They're mini-parfaits that are just enough "sweet" to top off your meal, but not a huge portion.

We have frequently turned to Seasons 52 as the 'spot on' place to go for a great meal and excellent service. Our recent visit was a bit of a disappointment. Through Open Table, we requested a few, easy seating requests which have been met in the past without exception. Not so this time without having to be redirected to an alternate table. The alternate 'table' was a window-facing booth, from where cold air poured in. We were dining with an elderly parent who was uncomfortable, as were we. Celebrating any special occasions today? My birthday... that was the last time my birthday was mentioned...

This was my second visit to Seasons 52. The food was excellent, the wine choices are great, the mini desserts are delicious. I love the concept of changing the menu to showcase food that's in season. I also love that they let you try the wine before you commit to a whole glass. My problem on this visit was two-fold. The first two wines I selected were sold out (but this was not called out on the menu). The server tried to recommend alternate selections, but I could tell he was not very knowledgable about wine b/c the choices he selected were nothing like the two I originally requested and when I asked him what region the wine was from he said "Sonoma. I think that's in California." He was very unattentive, which I felt stemmed from the fact that he was agitated that I did not like the 2 additional wine selections he brought to the table. Our appetizers were served but they forgot the individual plates for us, it took a long time to get refills on water and to see the desserts. I'd like to think this is an exception, because the first time I went, service was impeccable. I will give them one more chance to see if the service thing is the exception or the norm.

Seasons 52 changes it menu every season to feature fresh seasonal ingredients. We were seated immediately at our reservation time and greeted by our server. She answered all our questions and was very patient. I had the wood fire grilled tenderloin which was the best I have ever tasted. My wife had the scallops which were cooked perfectly and the butternut squash risotto was to die for. I like the mini desserts that are easy on the wallet and the waistline. Good fresh food, good service in a beautiful space made for a lovely evening.

Season's 52 is a great choice for just a couple's night out or an unpretentious choice for entertaining that presents a delicious menu that can satisfy most foodies and also the calorie conscious. While we often start with the calories in mind, we usually splurge on appetizers and sides (because they are so good!). As a side note, the pianist in the bar right now is so good that its worth just stopping in for a drink and an appetizer to enjoy his smooth and charming entertainment.

Only drawback for this romantic and quasi fancy restaurant was that when you go to a piano bar restaurant it would be nice to, well, see the piano bar! We were seated in the spill over/banquet room way in the rear. We could hear music piped in, but that is NOT why you go to a p,ace with a live pianist! Otherwise, great everything else....So, when making reservations I suppose you need to make that request? We were at the Oakbrook location...

I am not sure what to call the guy who walks you to your table but he was uncharacteristically rude. The only reason why I am saying something is that it is such a contrast to the rest of the staff. My waitress addressed me by name (thanks to the Open Table reservation) but, the host had two menus in his hand and seemed surprised when we didn't follow him. There was no greeting. When he was seating us at a table I asked if we could sit at a favorite booth and he rudely said "those are only for people who make a reservation." You could have one if you want to wait 10 minutes. Isn't open table a reservation? It was just an odd experience considering how terrific my experience has always been with the staff at Season's 52!

There was no single aspect that made Seasons 52 a great choice for our recent monthly team dinner. The food is excellent. Recipes are creative, portions sensible and prices reasonable. I like the idea of having so many good wine choices, by the glass, poured at our table. Even the desserts were sensible-scale and creative. Each of us likes a good steak now and then but so many restaurants in this range want to create value by ridiculous portion sizes. We left Seasons with that satisfied, just-right feeling. I wish more restaurants would adopt this approach

Food was very good. It was very loud, we went on a Sunday night. But service was good and as I said, food was delicious The only problem we had was that I had asked for a booth becauae I wear hearing aids and although I wa assured over the phone that we'd be seated there there was no booth available for us.

Although we were looking forward to trying Seasons 52 since none of the four of us (two couples) had ever been there, we were mistaken in thinking there was a Sunday brunch on the menu - our fault for not checking. In waiting for the other couple to arrive, we reconciled ourselves to simply having a very nice lunch and ordered coffee - we ended up not staying because breakfast was a must. The waiter was very courteous and considerate!

My first trip to Seasons 52 was so exquisite, that I recommended it to friends for a night out. The food was amazing, the ambiance in the private room was superior, and the service was outstanding. When I returned with my friends, despite the consistently excellent food with great vegetarian options, the ambiance was subpar since we were seated in the bar (with plenty of room in the dining room), and the service was one of the worst I have ever received. Our waiter was not at all attentive, and despite the fact that we stayed well after paying for the check (with a generous tip), he did not return to the table to see if we needed water, or anything else. I left embarrassed that I recommended it.

This restaurant has everything going for it. Went on a Thursday evening and waited at the bar until the rest of my party arrived. The live music is placed on a pedestal in the middle of the bar, which was full, making it very lively in a good way. The food is interesting and there are choices for everybody. The dining areas have tall built-in wine racks adding the high end atmosphere. Definitely will be back!

As soon as our group sat down (4 girls) we were told at 7pm that the restaurant closes at 10pm! Wow! Once we ordered drinks, half of our group had to return drinks twice so the mixologist is not impressive or consistent. We were incredibly frustrated with drinks with the cost at 11.00 per cocktail. Our food arrived and it was all very tasty, really really good between the steak, salmon, and scallops. The food was outstanding! The service was not outstanding! For a new, upscale restaurant in OakBrook, telling us to get out before 10 we had to ask for our waitress a few times. Overall, an expensive meal and drinks with poor service.
