Diner Reviews
  • "Food is carefully prepared, and selection is inventive. Always changing."

  • "The waitress was awesome. She provided our food on time and checked on us from time to time. The food was delicious and the cook should receive kudos for the awesome food and presentation. The only concern was that we arrived early to avoid the traffic in the Washington D.C. area. Our appointment was at 7:45 p.m. but we arrived at 6:25 p.m. and waited until 7:41 p.m. to be seated. This the first time in my three experiences that I waited more than a hour to be seated. The experience makes me wonder if I could wait again that long for the delicious food and service from the waitress."

  • "It was our first time there and I chose this restaurant based on recommendations from some close friends. I am so glad I did! My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and this place knows how to do it right! ( I did tell the restaurant we were celebrating when I made the reservation.) From the moment we walked in, the hostess was wishing us a happy anniversary, and so was everyone else. we were surprised to see 2 glasses of champagne waiting for us, with a card, at our table and the surprises didn't stop there. The head chef came out and introduced himself and gave us a sample of one of the appetizers. And the manager, Jason, came by numerous times throughout the evening making sure everything was going well."

  • "This restaurant is so hot. The food is healthy and good. You must try them out and if you don't you will be missing out on some excellent food."

  • "The lobster flat bread was excellent and the Spring spring rolls with shrimp and lobster quite good. Branzino was nicely seasoned. Very pleasant experience."

  • "Don't know how they get so much out of so little. Consistantly good. Page was an excellent server--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at seasons 52. From the moment we were seated we were treated like guests of honor. We received champagne and a card to start the evening. What a kind gesture! From beginning to end the service was impeccable. The food was, as usual, delicious. I had the planed salmon, my husband had a few dishes including fish, lobster tail and ahi tuna tartare. The way several staff members treated us really made our special night memorable. We will definitely be going back!"

  • "I had only been to this restaurant once for dinner. It's such a great concept - all the flavor and presentation, but remarkably moderate in calories, so we could truly enjoy it without guilt (even dessert!)"

  • "We visited this location and were very disappointed. I had been previouslty and had a much better experience. This time, i specifically asked that nothing spicy be included in my daughters dish and they not only left the pickled onions on top, but also did not exclude the jalepeno-lime slaw. I was disturbed to see her looking for a way to cool off her mouth. Then, the server disappeared and we didnt know where he was or who was servicing our table. When someone did come, she seemed uninterested and bored, was not familiar with the menu and got the order wrong. Speaking to the manager made the visit tolerable. He was genuinely interested in correcting the deficiences, and our meal was on the house...I'm not sure that we will return."

  • "Even though we have eaten at Season 52 in Bethesda ,MD before, this dining experience was mixed. We had a reservation for 8:15 PM but, was seated closer to 9:00 PM. Our bar drinks never came and we had to ask a different waiter for water. We had a very long period to wait even to get water! There was confusion who was serving us. The waiter tried to make excuses for the over site to no avail. The food was excellent but, the service was poor! The manager did give us a free appetizer, free drinks and free desserts."

  • "My dinner companion was uncomfortably cold in the restaurant & complained. The server & management response was very understanding, solicitous, and helpful. It was very gratifying to know her complaints were addressed."

  • "I've been dining here since they opened and have a regular notation of my table number preference. The hostess made me wait almost 5 minutes before she looked up and acknowledged me, took me to the bar instead of the dining room and then tried to seat me at another table after I pointed out the empty table that I usually have. By the time everything got sorted out, it was 20 minutes later and then it took another 10 minutes for anyone to come and offer me a glass of water. Fortunately my guest was late so I didn't deal with this embarrassment as it was my guest's first visit. Finally, things moved in the right direction after a horrible start indicated by the poor service rating."

  • "The service can be slow and while sometimes it is easy to tell it is the kitchen having problems and not the waitress, this time we had a problem with the waitress not showing up at the table often enough and not being attentive. If you are with a nice group and don't mind hanging out a while at dinner, service may not seem a problem to you."

  • "My Mom and sister were in town and a friend recommended Seasons 52 and I was thrilled with the experience. The food was awesome and plentiful. I still cannot believe everything on the menu is under 500 calories!!! REMARKABLE!!! The cocktails were awesome and everything from the appetizers to the scallops were delicious! I will definitely go back!"

  • "I stay on a very strict diet - eating very healthy all of the time. At Seasons 52 that is a standard in their menu where as at other restaurants you have to work very hard to order healthy food and to request special preparation. The food at Seasons 52 has always been great and is always healthy. The atmosphere is always enjoyable and the service staff up to the manager and chef are attentive on satisfying the guests. I have gone to Seasons 52 with larger groups, with another couple, and just my wife and me. I always enjoy the restaurant and the changing menu."

  • "2nd time that I tried to get a reservation, went online &was not able to get the time slot but was able to get one for 45 minutes after my desired time. Arrived before our scheduled time and was told they were running 15 minutes behind. No problem, we would go to the bar and get a drink. Waited 10 minutes in front of 3 bartenders and not one of them acknowledged me.more concerned peeling oranges for garnishments so we left the bar and went back to the waiting room with25 others. It would have been great if one of the 4 greeters were empowered to take a drink order! We were seated and had a Really nice, knowledgable waitress but they are understaffed or people just are not empowered.good food&nice menu.Iove the little deserts."

  • "Went on a Sunday evening ... first time in many years by myself. Priscilla, the server was very attentive and offered menu suggestions. Though moderately busy, I was still asked by Priscilla if I needed anything else and even by the manager. I thought it was nice that they came up even though I wasn't with a group as many others were and they were attentive to my needs. Food was very good and of course, I give 5 stars for the service."

  • "In the past we would have given this restaurant a high rating, but it seems to have slipped. We were very slow in being seated (with reservations) in our past two visits; in one case after we'd finally been seated we found the couple we were supposed to meet had been seated on the opposite side of the restaurant. Food still is good but we were disappointed in our last visit. Service also can be a bit slow. We've been fans of this restaurant since we were invited to a preview dinner before its formal opening, so we hope it returns to its previous level. Very convenient for Strathmore Music Center and what remains of White Flint Mall."

  • "Good variety of menu items and unusual combinations. Good drink menu. Service was not as good as had been in the past, with items arriving at different times like our coffees at the end of the meal. There was also some gristle in the chicken flat bread, which was disappointing. I have had this several times before and it was good.."

  • "Popular place so parties bigger than 4 make reservations. We all had a great time and the dessert shots are awesome!"

  • "The menu says that all meals are under 475 calories. Yet the trout fillet was large and the Shrimp Cavatappi Pasta looked small but was filling and tasty. The small salad was tasty too. The one thing I'd skip is the flatbread, which they pride themselves on. Although we liked the topping, the bread itself is very thin and crunchy, not very breadlike."

  • "I liked the upscale yet relaxed vibe of the space. Reservations were made for 5:45p, in time to enjoy the meal before a concert at the Strathmore. We were warmly greeted and seated promptly in a very comfortable dining room. Our server, Omayma, was very attentive and helpful with review of the drinks and general menu. The small Caesar and Greek salads were very good and generous proportion. The carmelized grill sea scallops and grilled boneless rainbow trout entrees were fresh and well prepared. We barely had room for dessert but the mini individual servings of the key lime pie and belgian chocolate rocky road hit the spot. Overall, it was a very nice dining experience and we will return."

  • "I have been several times now. The food menu varies according to season and is consistently good. I've never been blown away by anything but I've never been disappointed either. They do little desserts in shot glasses, which isn't my favorite thing, but I know that's just personal preference. This last visit we started with tuna tartar, then had rack of lamb and scallops - all of it was good. The lamb particularly was interesting and seasoned a little unusually, which was a pleasant surprise. The wine list is good, broader and deeper than most restaurants in the area. The only sour note has been the service, which is not quite on par with the quality and price of the food. Our server last night was particularly off-putting and slow."

  • "Always a good experience. It is one of our go to restaurant choices because the food is good, the service attentive and the menu creative. My husband is a very strict vegetarian and they have a menu that is great for him."

  • "Having to wait for a table, even with reservations, with open tables obvious to see was annoying. Lack of servers or inept reception people are evident."

  • "I've been to other restaurants of this chain. This one followed suit with a nice meal at a reasonable price. It has interesting cocktails and appetizers and of course their 4-5 bite desserts are the best part."

  • "A great place for a delicious healthy meal, a glass of wine and a chance to catch up with friends. Especially love the small size desserts."

  • "I took my mom out for her birthday and she absolutely LOVED the entire experience at the restaurant. They had our table reserved even though it was not busy. The front desk and server knew our names and were prepared for us. I noted that it was my mother's birthday on the reservation and they made it a special experience through their service and attention to our (few) requests. At the end they brought a candle for her to blow out along with the deserts. THANK YOU and WELL DONE!"

  • "Seasonal menu was changing the next day-that was the reason given for not having several items on the menu. Service was a bit too subltle. We were left unattended for long periods of time."

  • "What a treat! My wife and I decided to try Seasons 52 in Bethesda, MD. We were excited to learn about a local restaurant specializing in healthy food choices and portioning. The food quality was exceptional. The waiter was very understanding of my food allergies and helped identify my options- yes, the service was outstanding. Appetizers were perfectly portioned and prepared. Entrees again were perfectly portioned and prepared. My filet was one of the finest I've enjoyed anywhere. Desserts- oh, what a treat. Oh, and the ambiance was perfect."

  • "We sat at a booth in the bar area of S52. Very nice (live) piano music, fun people watching (Dude at the bar: stop putting your hand on her knee! She doesn't like it.) a great deal (flight of wine + a glass with a flatbread for $15) and our server, James V. was OUTSTANDING. Knowledgable about wine, friendly, and service-focused. An excellent experience."

  • "Took my in-laws here for dinner on Sunday and they loved it. They would consider themselves foodies, but are also fairly health conscious - so the under 500 calories appealed to them right away. The portion sizes were perfect and the mini-dessert flight was a lot of fun to choose from. We shared the plum tomato flat bread and chicken appetizers, both were delicious. The only (very small, almost non-existent) downside was that the 6 of us were seated at the bar. Not a huge deal because we still enjoyed ourselves, so it definitely won't keep me from going back to Season's!"

  • "Seasons 52 is a great find. It's so refreshing to eat such delicious food and know the meals are 425 calories or less. Everything from the flatbread to entrees to dessert was fantastic."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "Wonderful restaurant experience for these two "foodies." 5 stars for innovation, quality, flavor, service and attention, with a small but... Although the server noted that the Salmon is always prepared medium to medium rare, and I expressly asked that it come that way, it came out way overdone. However, to the restaurant's credit, Chef came out personally to apologize. We didn't spend time criticizing as things happen on ocassion, and enjoyed a lovely chat complimenting him on the quality of the offering. One thing, which is just me personally, I don't care for really dark restaurants. I like to see my food and companions. But, we will definitely be looking forward to our next visit and plan on becoming regulars. Two thumbs up!!"

  • "The restaurant has a nice feel and the staff was friendly but not organized at all. We had reservations but still had to wait 25 minutes for the six "hostesses" to figure out where to seat us. We didn't get the food we ordered -- mix up in the kitchen -- and the vegan option was poorly prepared. Not fresh at all. So sorry. I was looking forward to this dining experience..."
