Diner Reviews
  • "We ate dinner there regularly because of the consistently good food and service. Also, a big plus is their modern relatively healthy menu."

  • "I brought my husband to this restaurant for his birthday on 4/12/14. The food was very disappointing. It was overpriced for the taste. I was expecting fresh ingredients. I had the roasted honey and chicken. It did not taste any different than a Walmart rotisserie chicken. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The mashed potatoes tasted old. We will not be returning."

  • "A healthy menu, lots of veggies. This is one of my favorite places to eat."

  • "We had a lovely experience & would definitely return. As my parents are in their 80's, they could not have been more gracious!"

  • "Dinner for 6, awesome waiter named Josh, ask for him. Food selection, presentation and flavor was very good. Accommodating on substituting sides. Awesome strawberry basil martini!"

  • "I have been to this restaurant many times and it is unfortunate that the quality is going down hill. I think they need to look at the staff and their attitudes."
    Dined on 3/25/2014
  • "Service great. Food good. Lamb rack was good, though a little quenched in flavor. One guest had an issue with the lamb preparation (medium rare), but came out more medium. The managing partner was over responsive to their needs. Kefta app is fantastic, and so was the hummus and sea salt flat bread. Good spot for a dinner meeting or to host guest. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality and freshness of the concept."

  • "We've been here twice and both experiences were very good. Food is very good, both tasty and healthy. Lobster flat bread was excellent, Shrimp and Scallop spring dishes were very good and the small desserts are wonderful. They also have an excellent wine selection. Can't wait to go again."

  • "I LOVE Seasons 52. The food is fresh, tasty and healthy. The portion size is more than filling - it's hard to believe that each item is only 450 calories. And I love the mini-desserts - they are just the right size bite of sweetness to finish off a great meal. My server, John, was fantastic! The people in my party drink a lot of water and soda and he made sure our glasses were always full. He was super friendly and very attentive."

  • "Took an out of town colleague here for an early dinner. The Spring seasonal menu is full of delectable offerings such as the asparagus soup. The flatbread was crispy and flavorful with fresh basil and tomatoes. The roasted chicken with spring vegetables was tender in a perfectly savory roasted jus. My colleague had scallops which she thoroughly enjoyed. No room for dessert and all dishes under 500 calories. Did I mention the large selections of wine by the glass. Will definitely make Seasons 52 a regular dining experience!"

  • "When the restaurant confirmed our reservation, they asked if this was a special occasion, so I mentioned it was our anniversary. When they showed us to our table, they had a congratulatory card with glitter hearts as a welcome, and the vegan menus I requested. Seasons 52 has many vegetarian options, and a few very good vegan options, and best of all, are happy to look into ingredients that aren't on those menus and adjust if they can. We opted to sit in the piano bar, where the piano player also had a lovely singing voice that was good company but not too intrusive. The food was very good and the service was superb. We have been here before and sat outside when it was nice weather, and the courtyard is pleasant."

  • "We have eaten here several times and have always had a wonderful experience. On our latest visit, I had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and was so flavorful and tender, it just melted in my mouth. The vegetables were cooked just until tender. They were not under or overcooked. To top off our meal we had one of the mini desserts. I had a pecan pie which was heavenly. The server we had on our latest visit was unbelieveable. He was my idea of the perfect server. He was attentive but not intrusive. He was knowledgable and he was friendly. I was so impressed with him I sent an email to the restuarant to let them know how professional he was and how impressed we were with him. I love this restaurant!!"

  • "We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and was seated immediately. Server was awesome. Friendly, joking, very knowledgeable on the menu and on the wine list with suggestions. Everything arrived promptly, with just enough delay between courses as not to be waiting. Servings were right size, and fresh. As their name implies, Seasons 52, their menu changes weekly. Their's is seasonally inspired cooking with every item less than 475 calories. They also have a Vegan and Vegetarian menu. Highly recommend."

  • "We were just two old girl friends Friday night but were treated like royalty. Our manager brought us two individual, complimentary appetizers. We can't say enough great things about this experience"

  • "The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had reservation, but our table was not ready so we were seated at a table in the bar which I think I would prefer eating in that area now. I definitely would eat there again for two reasons: the excellent service and the delicious food."

  • "Service and atmosphere were great but food was just so-so."

  • "We had a great experience before a theatre date. Sat in the bar area and were so pleased with the service. The wine tasting prior to selection was great. The appetizers were very pleasing and the flatbread was nicely prepared and very delicious. We have dined at Seasons 52 several times and will be back several more times."

  • "Found out the they change the menu every 3 months to match the seasons change and serve appropriate meals, hence the name. Had the Venison chop which was amazing and some great French Bordeaux wine which was a good price point. Server was friendly and talkative and very attentive. Mussels were very good with a dipping sauce, an desserts were perfectly proportioned so no overeating. Pricey place to take a date but worth it for a special occasion."

  • "Not knowing what to expect we were delightfully surprised. The food was very tasty and you could not tell that the dishes were all under 475 calories. Don't miss the lamb...best dinner of the night!"

  • "Terrific food and great service. Really appreciate the "light touch" they have with sauces and oils. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will take (and have taken) guest there as well."

  • "We went to the Seasons location on the plaza, and our waiter, Josh was nice, well informed , not overbearing, helpful. We had a great birthday experience for my wife and guests. We left in a better mood than we arrived... Our previous lunch at this location was amazing, so we came back a second time and we're not disappointed...thanks for the great evening...."

  • "Great Dining. Neighborhood Gem. Romantic Settings. Had a business meeting there with 7 co-workers and it was amazing. The only caveat was the Jelly Jam wine. It was suppose to be Moscato and it was more like $3 Wal-mart special. Stay away from wine with a screw top that's priced at $28 per bottle."

  • "Season's 52 always seems to hit the spot. The food is always tasty and I never walk away feeling like I ate too much. The service and environment are very nice and comfortable. And the deserts are perfect -- in size and taste."

  • "Wasn't sure what to expect - was very pleasantly surprised - staff very friendly and efficient - food interesting and very good - looking forward to seeing the spring menu"

  • "This restaurant had great food, and a respectible wine list. The only problem, 3 hours after we dined at this restaurant, they cancelled our reservation. Therefore, denied us the Open Table 1000 point rating. That is rather a shame since both food and service were very good."

  • "Our friends from Calif. have been to a Seasons52 in Calif. or Atlanta,, can't remember, but they were happy to go to the Kansas City, Mo. location. We had a great waitress, very good."

  • "Food was great but our server had a table of 12 that kept her from being able to service us as I would have expected to be served. I don't bllame her I think management should have recognized this and got her some assistance."

  • "Seasons52 is one of my personal favorites! Nice wine list, attentive service, excellent FRESH food that changes with the seasons. Our server was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed dinner. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!"

  • "While on a business trip I had dinner with friends at the KC Seasons 52 and the experience was outstanding. Another group asked me out the next night and just had to return there again. Great food, service, affordable and an interesting a filling menu. The music at the bar was the perfect background to several truly enjoyable dinners. Thanks to Seasons 52"

  • "We finally made it to Seasons 52 and were not disappointed. We split a sushi app and spinach pear salad and they were both delish. My husband had the chicken entree and I had the scallops and both entrees were great. The Macedon Pinto Nior was amazing as well. Will return!"

  • "Seeking the perfect place for a date night. The ambience puts you in the mood for great conversation. The menu has a variety of dishes for everyone to select something healthy but delicious to eat. We plan to return often and recommend it to others too."

  • "My wife & I were celebrating the sell of a distant house. As always with seasons 52, food was great, wait staff was perfect, even catered to our 1 year old. After dinner, the check was prompt which is pretty important when you are trying to get out of the place to get your 1 year old home, bathed and in bed for his schedule!"

  • "Had heard good things about Seasons 52, so we decided to give it a try. Our son had recently accepted a new job, so we wanted a place to celebrate. We were certainly not disappointed. Although our waitress was obviously new, she tried very hard and was very pleasant and helpful. The drinks were generous and enjoyable. The food was beautiful and delicious. The portions were quite adequate but not overkill. Dessert was a tiny sweet treat after a delightful dinner. The noise level was a bit disturbing, but perhaps because we were seated in the bar. We sometimes found it hard to hear normal level conversation. That was probably my only complaint of the evening. Otherwise it was a truly enjoyable evening, and we will be back."

  • "I've been a fan of Seasons since I first found it on business trips to Orlando years ago. Having it here in KC is such a treat. The seasonal, high-flavor yet low-cal menus are fresh and creative and executed to perfection. I also love the dining pace, it's not like a lot of chains where you feel they have a quota for how fast they have to turn tables. That gives Seasons a unique blend of comfortable sophistication that's hard to find. Don't miss the items on the right side of the menu, which has specials and seasonal meats and fish. This is a safe place to be adventurous and step our of your food comfort zone, you simply can't go wrong. For a little more energetic vibe, get a seat in the bar, with live piano. Valet parking is another bonus."

  • "We always look for restaurants that use local foods and have lots of vegetarian and seafood choices. Seasons 52 did all of these and delivered excellent food at reasonable prices. Perhaps more importantly, the service was great. Very knowledgeable waitstaff. We were so impressed we returned a second time two days later. Excellent music in the bar, too."

  • "We were noted as first time diners and we were sat at a table that faced the kitchen and the server station. This was at 6 pm and there was maybe 2 or 3 other tables in the restaurant. The servers hovered around the server station to chit chat and it was very hard to have a conversation with the crowd of servers 4 feet away socializing. We order a few things from the menu and not a single item was exceptional. The dessert were simply a small cup of sugar, not one with a taste of flavor other than simply excessively sweet. The service was nice and friendly. We left thinking about where else we could eaten for a $105 meal or less and been much happier...Houston's, Lidia's, RA. We will not be returning. The food was fine, nothing notable."
