  • "I made my reservations a week ahead of time...they seated us in the "back" room; very dark- cae like if you will. Sorta reminds me of a horror ride at an amuesment park. The food was great - the service was great. ambience really sucked. The moral of the story, when you make reservations...you should clearly state you do NOT want to be seated in the back or rear room."

Not so sweet was the seriously dinky single candle in a shot-glass filled with brown sugar as the restaurant's way of saying "Happy Birthday"... Special occasions should be a little more recognized no? We live locally & this was our 3rd time since their original opening...not sure we would return at all. Our Bday Dinner at Hamamori's Sushi Restaurant was a gazillion times better!!!"

  • "Dine here often but it is hit or miss. This time it was miss. We ordered a bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay only to have the server come back and say they were out. Then we tried for the Chalahem Pinot Noir 2012 and they only had the 2011, despite what the menu stated. We ordered two glasses of a so-so white wine, duck flatbread, 2 entrees (salmon and trout) and the grilled Caesar broccoli. The fish seemed way overcooked and the broccoli, well, it did not make it until dessert with the server saying there was a "miscommunication" in the kitchen."

  • "I went with my friends for Restaurant week. The dinner was $32 and $10 for a flight of wine. The server was great she bought us each a 3 glass flight which was quite substantial and we would get a fill glass of the wine of our choice from the flight. - amazing and great choices, then the dinner choices, 2 people shared a flat bread, each person got soup (corn soup was fabulous) then a choice of 3 salads, and the. Your choice of filet, scallops, salmon or pork. When the entrees arrived we were overblown!!! They were all full sized portions as was everything previously . Then desserts were amazing and beautifully presented in small glass dishes with the waitress describing each one."

  • "I came here for Costa Mesa Restaurant week. It was my first time dining here. I checked out the menu online and knew exactly what I wanted, I was looking forward to ordering it all week. I ordered the filet mignon and only halfway through the 5 courses my server told me that they ran out :( The only other beef option was the flank steak, I was forced to order it. Though he did apologize, I was really disappointed. How can a restaurant run out of filet mignon? If they know it's going to be busy maybe they should order more! Other than that the ambiance was nice, they had a live band which played covers of current hits and old ones."

I love the salmon salad for flavor & presentation, the other salads & flat breads are seasonal & well done. I prefer to eat in a booth in the bar when I can ( no reservations here) otherwise make a reservation they do get crazy busy. If you are in a hurry, food comes out quickly."

  • "The menu is vey special with seasonal foods. Our most recent dining was on the summer menu. Very fresh and unique salads and vegetables. The flatbreads are terrific! The meats are cooked to perfection and are enhanced (not covered over) by delicious sauces or light toppings. Don't get me stated on desserts … a wonderful selection. Service is top-notch. We thoroughly enjoyed our waiter who introduced himself to us using our name (nice touch). Felt like the service was just for our table even though we were there on a busy weekday evening. Can't go wrong here any time."

  • "This was our third visit to a Seasons 52 restaurant, and we'll keep coming back for the food which is always beautiful presented and delicious to eat. My spouse particularly likes the mini-desserts. The problem on this particular visit was the noise level which was reaching deafening proportions when we arrived at 12:30pm. I had particularly requested a quiet corner so we could chat more easily with our friends. We were given a table in the midst of the crowd. Our server quickly noticed my disappointment and found us another table in a side room where it was a bit quieter. She agreed that the noise level was usually bad for the hour we had chosen, so next time we'll try 1:30pm instead. It was pleasantly quiet at the time we left."

  • "We came here for dinner before a show at the Segerstrom Center. The focus of the restaurant is on the freshest ingredients and this month corn is the star. We started with the lobster and mozarella flatbread which was quite good, then I had the Maui Ahi salad and my husband had the scallops with corn risotto and steamed vegetables, both very good. But the standout of the meal was the skillet of corn. The fresh roasted corn was super-sweet and the carmelized onions and parmesan cheese were perfect complements. We didn't have time to try the desserts (sadly) but would allow additional time for that on our next visit because they looked yummy."

  • "We celebrated my daughter's birthday and my other daughter's 10th wedding anniversary at Seasons 52 and had a wonderful experience. The waitress was extremely attentive and brought us complimentary champaign for all 5 of us. The food was served quickly after ordering it but we did not feel rushed. The food was excellent, two of us ordered scallops and they were tender and flavorful. My wife had the trout and it was very tasty and well prepared. The whole trout was served, the correct way to do it. Some restaurants give you a half a trout. I highly recommend this restaurant."
