  • "I had a reservation for 20:30 pm and we seat at 21:15. They don't respect the time that you book. "

  • "Second time in that restaurant. Even tough the first time was terrible, I decided to go again because I was in a very large table so I gave another opportunity. Food was ok, nothing outstanding. Again, the hostess was very unfriendly as the first time and she was different from my first visit. They do not know how to manage people!!! It is a shame because the place is beautiful."

  • "I chose this restaurant for my birthday as I had been a few nights before. In addition I heard and read great reviews of the restaurant and I'm glad I did. I was fortunate to have the two most important women in my life with me. My lovely wife and my beloved mother. The ambience, food & view are priceless. Two thumbs up for SS&P. "

  • "The food at Seasalt and Pepper is absolutely delicious. Prices are excellent considering the "buzz" and high end clientele currently patronizing this restaurant but they make up for the good menu prices with the exorbitant price tags on drinks and wine. The drinks and bottles of wine are ridiculously expensive...so that was a bit of a downer for the overall experience. They also do not allow you to bring in your own wine bottle into the restaurant so you are forced to pay 90+ for even a fairly basic bottle. Great service and the atmosphere is very "Miami." Reserve at least 2 weeks in advance even for a late lunch spot on a Thursday!"

  • "A friend told me about this restaurant and also said that it was the "hot spot" of Miami's restaurant. We went there ,me and my daughter, and we chose an excellent meal! It was perfect!"

  • "We were a party of nine, adults and 4 teens. It is such an open space that even dining inside you are part of the outdoor experience. It's beautiful and very chic in a relaxed way. A class act. Management and staff are attractive, and professional. For all their sophistication, they are also gracious. You have to be on your game to accommodate a large capacity crowd so perfectly and seamlessly. The food is wonderfully prepared and very tasty. With nine people we sampled many dishes on one visit. Filet Mignon, pizzas and fries, special casseroles from their wood burning ovens, the catch of the day, lobster, a variety of appetizers. Everything was delicious . . . We arrived by boat and were assisted disembarking and shoving off. "

  • "My husband and I went on a Sunday afternoon. We had the tuna tartar/salmon/scallop, Alaskan oysters, sea bass, and grouper. Overall, food was amazing! Service on the other hand lacked! The server was borderline attentive until it was time to drop the check which included an 18% gratuity. And he didn't fail to point out that we could add additional tip. Most expensive lunch I've ever had, more than dinner at some of Miami's best restaurants including Juvia, Scarpetta, Prime 112, etc.... This place is definitely a "see and be seen" place. We enjoyed the food very much but there are plenty of other places where we can eat just as good, spend less, and receive much better service."

  • "I visited the restaurant on Sunday evening, April 13th, and it was a great experience! The atmosphere was live, the music was great and everyone in there was having a great time. The scene was what you would expect from a Miami Restaurant. Me and the wife had reservations for 8:15, and although we were not seated until an hour later :-(, the food was worth the wait! The Sea Bass I had nearly melted in my mouth. The Service was outstanding as well The place also included some star power as the Heat's Pat Riley and Mickey Arison sat a few tables from me! Overall, me and my wife had a wonderful time and we can't wait to go back!"

  • "Hard t find anything in Miami that lives up to the hype but this one definitely fits the bill... good food, great ambiance, and attentive owners who were walking the floor engaging with customers.. probably because they are not jaded hospitality guys and instead bring a fresh approach to a city in much need of understanding what the term hospitality actually means.. well done!"

  • "Finally a great romantic, energetic restaurant on the water with amazing drinks and even better food in the heart of Miami! Kudos to Sea Salt and Pepper for getting it all right! Will bring all my friends here. The service and personal attention was superb. Must tries: the octopus, the sea bass, the pappardelle, and the onion appetizer !!"

  • "I read about this 'hot' dining spot in Miami somewhere in January and knowing I will be there in late March, I made reservations via Open Table for lunch. Upon our arrival, the lady who greeted us gave a faint smile and directed us towards a long table inside. By appearances, the expansive space is well designed and pristine with natural elements. Food-wise, taste and presentation, we were impressed. I had the chicken casserole in a hot clay pot ($18) which was generously portioned and very well priced. It had the most wonderful taste & aroma and was browned to perfection. The sauce was delicious and perfect for dipping. I chose a side dish of asparagus which was tender and juicy. I would definitely dine there again and try other dishes."

  • "Very nice rest excellent food and service, but when the door is open in the rest de A/C condensed and the drops come on the chair and table or on the people, in other is a very good restaurant"

  • "TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! Such a shame that a new and beautiful restaurant like this can have such bad service. We had to chase our waiter for menus, waited 20+ mins for water, didn't even pour me or my bf wine despite ordering an expensive bottle, and was rude all night long. Luckily food was good yet did not compensate for the horrible experience. All staff should be better trained and I expected more refinement considering the high prices charged; pretty poor and low class staff overall. Not sure if I'll ever give it a second chance."

  • "There is a need for a restaurant captain to oversee the complete operation about customer's satisfaction and needs. Little details that are a given on a restaurant environment. We had reservations at 7:15, we were not sited until 8:20...the menus had to be asked for twice, the bread, the water, refilling of the water, the silverware on the table, the wine glasses."

  • "The place is beautiful, with a stunning view of Brickell and the Miami River. We enjoyed the "scene" and the people watching. The food has declined, and the service was super slow! For the expense, the restaurant needs to do better. We would go again, just to sit at the bar, and enjoy a drink, but probably not for dinner."

  • "We had to wait 45 minutes with a dinner reservation. We waited another 30 minutes before we received bread and water. The food was horrible and expensive. The baby clams were gargantuan and tough. The seafood tartare was mediocre. The wait staff was inexperienced. The bar tenders were aloof and the front hostess was unprofessional. Save your time and money!"

  • "Ok so I had to go with all of the hype to try it out …I had read all of the issues on service and how slow the bar was so I had very managed expectations going in. First the good…the food, over priced to be honest compared to other trending restaurants but not out of control. The apps were the best…order the raw oysters they are perfection and reasonably priced compared to the rest of the raw bar items. Then the bad…So honestly the waiter we had was amazing, truly trying his best to keep the circus together…why the circus cause honestly from the bar staff to the management everyone is running around like headless chickens without a clue what to do. The ambiance is amazing and food was great, hope they can sort the service/management quick!"

  • "Came here for a girlfriend birthday lunch. Breathtaking view of restaurant interior and nice view of the river. Had a delicious drink called Melonade which consisted of Teuila, mint, watermelon and lemon (though quite pricey) Grilled Octopus super tender not rubbery. A super friendly waiter named Matthew. I imagine it to be very romantic in the evening."

  • "We weren't seated until at least 30 minutes after our reservation time, if not more. That's how long we waited to be acknowledged by a bartender in the meantime, and I stopped keeping track. One of two hostesses was completely frazzled. I was cranky and hungry when we sat, and also confused because there were SO many tables open. But from there forward, it was a wonderful meal. Service was friendly and impeccable- attentive but didn't feel like we were being hovered over. Fresh warm pita bread, burrata, pappardelle, and the PBJ cheesecake, all DELICIOUS. Bar was really packed and hopping. Will return, but host stand needs to be more organized and professional, especially for such a popular place."

  • "For being new trendy restaurant - was very disappointing. We were seated promptly, but took forever to get someone to take our drink order, then another wait to place dinner order. Kitchen very slow as well... Table next to us complained about 30 minutes with no water and was told by asst. mgr that probably due to the full moon, they were short staffed..Food was average and never got asked if we wanted desert or coffee after meal...Had to get asst. mgr to find waiter to get our bill..."

  • "We happened upon this restaurant back in January, right before it got hot. Nice menu and good food, but nothing out of the ordinary. Neither is the overpriced wine list. The service was good but average. Why is it popular? The new 'it' restaurant amongst those who want to see and be seen and a beautiful one at that. But if I want great Italian food, we go to Bugatti's in the Gables. Great fish & the same view...go next door to Casablanca. No need to pay these prices unless all you aspire to is be amongst the nouveau glitterati. Self respecting foodies go elsewhere..."

  • "Ambiance and view were spectacular. I brought some out of town relatives and they loved it. The grilled octopus was great - tender and juicy, a bit large to be an appetizer, but perfect for sharing."

  • "Pork ribs were flavorless. Zuccini croquettes were huge and had been pre-cooked. Branzino was over cooked and tasteless served cold. Lemon oll butter combination was greasy and inedible. The fish was not fillet, but served butterfly style. Never again. We will tell our friends NOT to go there."

  • "We had a 7:45 pm reservation Sunday. We had to wait to get into the building, as the number of people inside was apparently at it's limit. To make a long story short I had to tell them at 8:45 pm that we were leaving unless we had a table. We got one soon after, outside (in a dark area), with minimal service. Food was OK. I think we got the end of the Sunday sunset bar scene that overran the place. The management, however, was clueless as how to make it all work. Disappointing."

  • "Even with reservations, people had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated. 7pm is too crowed and noisy, not a good time for dinner. Service by the waiter was very good and the food was very tasty. Views to the city across the river are beautiful. This place turned out nice at around 10pm as all the drinkers were gone. We believe it is also an excellent place to hang out for lunch."

  • "From the velvet rope styled entrance, complete with bouncers (really, for a restaurant?), to the confused hostess trying to decipher her coded reservations list, to the stunning girls all trying to outdo each other visually (with less and less clothing, of course), this place is "so Miami." If you can get thru the admissions silliness, and fight your way to the bar for a drink or three, you'll eventually get a table (you might have to insist on a good one), and then you'll discover it's actually a pretty good restaurant. However, you'll have to decide whether all that other stuff makes it worthwhile."

  • "Restaurant is hot right now but they need a better managed front desk, not a smooth operation, confusion, left hand right disconnect and a too cool for school attitude. If the front desk doesn't improve and that too cool for school attitude continues this restaurant will not be "hot" for very long. The food is good, not great, great location and potential. This is a work in progress, they need to pick up the pace to match their execution with their potential."

  • "Good but not great food, very expensive, great service and nice view until a large yacht pulled right up to the dock and parked there. Fortunately we were just finishing !"

  • "I have to be honest the second time around. I thought I would never return. First time, we could not get a table and were told we can feel free to eat the indoor/outdoor bar. However, the only option you have to eat at the bar is the "raw bar" which was $99. We left paying over $200 for a bottle of wine and the only option of the "raw bar". Second time around, we had a reservation, the food is tasty but nothing out of this world. We were better off this time paying a bit over $200 having had the grilled octopus as an app, 2 entrees which the lamb shank was worth it and black cod, grilled veggies, dessert, bottle of wine, and after dinner drinks. Good looking restaurant not sure the food is the one making the place."

  • "This place has a really nice decor, a lot of light (we went for lunch). The food is OK, a bit overpriced, but I suppose that is what you get when the restaurant become so popular so fast. Service could improve, as we had to wait a lot to get our check. As that we after one of the waiters dropped water on my wife!"

  • "The food was good. The service could be better. Waited about 15 minutes for someone To come over to the table. Then had to ask, who is waiting on us."

  • "Friends of mine raved about the food at SS&P so when I finally decided to try it out, I must confess to be deeply disappointed. The two different waiters I had helping me were rushed and not friendly, the zucchini appetizer was served cold in the center and the Chilean Sea Bass was overly salty. The only thing I enjoyed was the view and the ambience. Unfortunately those two things did not satisfy my palette. I won't be returning to SS&P not nor will I recommend it to anyone else."

  • "The food was very good and the view was amazing. We had reservations for six and was seated within 5 minutes. Everyone in my party was very happy with this restaurant. We would go back again. The only negative experience for me was the parking. Had to valet park in the restaurant parking for seven dollars and they didn't park my car in the lot instead they drove it around the block to an unsecured lot with no one watching the cars when there was space in the lot where I left my car. Took over 10 minutes to get my car and I was the only one waiting."

  • "The location of this restaurant, right on the Miami River, adds to its outdoor ambience. The food was outstanding. The service great. Everyone was so anxious to please. One problem is actually finding the restaurant. Hulking black concrete block building with only a very small sign by the door. When I drove past several times, there was a truck parked in front and I could not even see that small sign."

  • "We went for lunch. The restauarnt is lovely and our outside table perfect. Watching the life on the river was exciting and enjoyable. The food was delicious but the service impressed me the most. Waiters were always watching without being in your face. I never mind the 18% service charge when you receive that much care. A gem we will happily recommend to our friends."
