Sears Fine FoodComfortable Comfort FoodI enjoyed my visit to SFF -- service was extremely prompt and courteous and the food was reasonably priced. Portions trended to the smaller size for my taste, but they were adequate.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMA San Francisco ClassicI haven't been to Sears in a long time and it was fun to go again and experience the great service and attention by the wait staff. We came because my friend was hungry for The Wedge and she enjoyed it very much, though it was a little "over" dressed. Would probably order the dressing on the side next time I had the Reuben sandwich with potato salad, which was quite good and big enough to take home half of the sandwich and half of the salad which I enjoyed all over again the next day.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMOmg Pot Roast.Completely lovely!
We enjoyed this restaurant three times on our short visit and will be back!
Amazing comfort food!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth the visit!I ate at Sears for breakfast and dinner while staying in San Francisco, as it was very close to my hotel on Powell Street, and because it was recommended to me by several travelers on my way out. It's nice to find a restaurant where the food is important and the atmosphere is friendly, not uppity. A lot of the dinner food is comfort food, like pot roast, pork chops, and pasta, but they manage to make a pretty tasty cioppino, as well. For breakfast, Sears is known for many tasty favorites, including the cute little Swedish pancakes with lingonberries I had, plus maple- flavored sausages that were also memorable. Prices are a bit high, but, hey, so is everything else in this town.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waiter was fantastic. Our waiter was fantastic. Very attentive and great personality.
