Diner Reviews
  • "Went for a 19 year anniversary and requested a window seat to overlook the ocean with an 11 days future request Was seated one row away and spent the night looking at empty tables by the window. I guess a dinner for two (spent $200) doesn't warrant "special" seating"

  • "We had dinner again at Seaglass. As always, it is wonderful. Great staff, great food, great view. What else do you need?"

  • "This was my first visit to the Seaglass. The food, service and atmosphere were superb! I cannot wait to go back."

  • "We went to Seaglass to celebrate my mom's birthday. Our request to sit by the window was declined, we were located two rows back by the servers station. The view was ok.....much nicer closer into the windows. There was a bit too much traffic by our table for my preference due to our location, and we constantly had trays of other peoples food and drinks almost on top of us. Despite this, and a bit of an impatient server, we enjoyed our meal and time together. The food was delicious, salads crisp and fresh, main meals perfectly cooked and presented. It did get a bit noisy as the evening went on, which increased with the live musicians playing by the bar. We will go back, but with the knowing that we have a better table location."

  • "My husband and I have been twice before..we brought our son along this time and we all enjoyed it thouroughly. My son is still talking about the gelato trio.(unbelievable!) and the salmon was delicious.I mentioned to the waiter that the first time we went we had the Thai curry mussels and they were amazing. I would love to see them back on the menu sometime. I just love everything about your restaurant. Thankyou.."

  • "We had a wonderful early dinner there Sunday. We both had seafood which was very good and was presented beautifully. All in all, we had a great experience."

  • "Went for a bachelorette party and had the brunch buffet. The food AND the drinks were amazing! The service was a little slow and could not find the server at some points, but I expect that since it was a buffet and the server is only doing limited work. I would definitely go back and definitely recommend Seaglass to my friends and family."

  • "We went for our anniversary. Everything was amazing. The food was delicious. We even got to see fireworks from our table!"

  • "When we first were seated, we were really impressed. It was a beautiful view, very nice restaurant. Then the band started playing at 7:00. We thought they were scheduled for 8:30, but I guess they don't start singing until then. But at 7:00 they play music and very loud. It was hard to carry on a conversation because it was so loud. I would go back, but not on Saturday night when there is live music. I heard the Sunday brunch is really good and I plan to make a reservation for that some time. The food was pretty good and the service was good."

  • "We have been to Seaglass about 6 times in the last 18 months. We've done brunch...and dinners. Love this spot. The food is always great ...can't beat the atmosphere with the waves coming right up to the restaurant ... Have always had attentive wait staff. It's a bit pricier than other places, but it gives you everything you could want in a nice evening out."

  • "The Seaglass is a surprise in Salisbury. Hidden in the ocean front pavilion, you could easily expect it to be a typical seafood eatery dishing out fried seafood platters. The Seasglass is anything but typical. It has a clean and modern decor. the menu is varied and the food is fresh. Give this restaurant a try, you will be pleasantly surprised."

  • "The food wasn't as good as it has been in the past but still good. Service was great! Perhaps there is a new chef."

  • "Usually we go for lunch but this was a special occasion as it was our anniversary, so we went for dinner. Although we really like the restaurant and the staff, the food was absolutely terrible. My wife got a lobster dish, which the lobster was way over cooked and really hard to chew and the sauce was not good either. I had the blackened haddock, which was overcooked also. And, when I mentioned this to the server, it appeared no one really cared. The overall cost was over $100 for the two of us. For that price, I would not recommend dinner to anyone that asks. I had much more respect for this restaurant before this experience but this night was terrible. Just so you know this was on July 15th and we had reservations for 5:00pm."

  • "What a great spot for Sunday brunch buffet. Price was very reasonable, ambience couldn't be better, food was delicious, and we all had a wonderful time."

  • "For some reason, Darryl, the waiter had an attitude as soon as we sat down. We ordered a spritz which was all wrong, not his fault, but when we asked for wine glasses instead of the ones we received he told us he probably couldn't get any since there was a wedding going on, and they were running low. Really??? If I ordered a glass of wine, what were you going to serve it in?? Started the night off all wrong!"

  • "We celebrated our 52nd anniversary here. It was as romantic, as it was last year at the same table. Looking out on the ocean, you get the feeling you are on a cruise ship. The wine that my husband pre-ordered was great. The main course salmon, haddock with lobster, both excellent.soup, bib lettuce fig salad were "awesome". We were given the menu for dessert. We decided & about to order; when the Seaglass surprised us with a delicious dessert; on the house. The service was terrific. We'll be back real soon with friends."

  • "We came back after a long time away. We forget you're so close and offer great food and atmosphere! Our recent visit was even better than we remember. The food was excellent! Not many restaurants know how to prepare fish. The grilled swordfish and complimenting ingredients and sides were awesome? I hope you always stay true to a clean preparation of fish. And we we very happy with our server and our table (side window table). Definitely recommend this gem that I think may not be on most folks radar screen. And the prices? Very reasonable!"

  • "The food rating was a little lower only because when I ordered lobster and steak I thought it was lazy man's lobster. Too messy and did not enjoy cracking open the hard shell lobster. It may be a fun experience for some but not for me. Other than that it was fantastic!"

  • "We arrived earlier than our reservation and were greeted with friendly hosts. The atmosphere was great. Our table was at the window overlooking the sea. It was a stormy night, and the "seas were angry, my friend", so that made our dinner more exciting! The waiter,John, was very friendly and professional. The food was excellent. We both had fish and it was delicious. Portions were good and artistically arranged on plates. Desert menu was tempting, but we declined. The dining experience was relaxing and we will return!"

  • "I had the grilled haddock, and became very ill after returning from there.. we called to report this.. and no one called us back on the issue.. so much for customer service and good food"

  • "1. Food cooked hours before being reheated and served. 2. Food inedible. 3. Food unattractive. 4. Wait staff friendly but incompetent. 5. I got the feeling that they were just barely hanging on. 6. Horrible atmosphere. We could not wait to leave! Do not make the mistake of eating here even if you enjoy McDonalds."

  • "I have never had a bad brunch here ever. Been going here for years and it is always superb! Parking is easy (even at a beach!), and there are other beachy things to do while you are there!"

  • "The only criticism: there were no frozen drinks and ranch dressing. Excellent service, great view, excellent menu and the food was well prepared. Overall it was a very good dining experience. I will return."

  • "The wine recommended was not satisfactory but at our request the general manager substituted one at the same price that was excellent. The oysters on the half shell were excellent. The first course Pinot Grigio and specialty martini were acceptable. The filet minion was just average in quality but cooked properly and the rack of lamb was very good but cooked to medium instead of medium rare as requested. The view over the ocean at a window table was superb. Parking in the fee lot was very tight. We have dined at this restaurant several times previously."

  • "Been to Seaglass often - good experiences - The food has improved so much since it opened and the whole complex has elevated the beach- kudos to the efforts. Our table arrangements had been changed, we were placed on the interior. I have trouble hearing in noise as is, and the pianist (great touch) was just WAY too loud. Server did request an adjustment to the volume- helped considerably. Strong tempo to the meal and felt rushed as the server charged around the room and placed our plates very abruptly. It was late on the 4th perhaps not the best plan. I will give anyone the benefit of the doubt, and hope we don't encounter this again - in general a great spot for well-prepared food especially for a special night out, we will return."

  • "This is what fine dining with a casual vibe should be ,in my opinion! From the hostess to the servers the care was superb and attentive. Yet the atmosphere was relaxed. Even when a glass nearby fell and broke shattering all over. The nearby waitress was thorough and pleasant in the impeccable cleanup process. Food was superb. I had rack of lamb and the potatoes (gratinee with Swiss cheese). A recipe I do make quite well. Sea glass was superior. At my table 2had seafood. Great and one had pork chop also great. Thank you for pleasant experience"

  • "If you visit Seaglass Restaurant on a sunny weekend, be sure to allow an extra half hour to get there! The traffic barely crawled from route 95 all the way into Salisbury. Once there, we found the restaurant to be bright and well appointed with huge windows looking out over the ocean. The beach actually runs up under the building. The buffet was about what we expected, with fresh fruit, pastries, a few hot options like potatoes and sausage. And you can have a custom omelet made to order. There's plenty to eat, though the selection was not extensive. All told, it was pretty good but not outstanding."

  • "Our visit to the Seaglass Sunday Brunch was an outstanding experience!! Online reservation option was convenient and easy to use. Plenty of parking in front of the building. Every table has a view of the ocean, so if you are not seated at a "window table", no worries, you will have a pleasant view while dining. The food .... AAA+++......the cooks at the omelette station were great, cooked our eggs perfectly. Fresh fruit station, salad station and the variety of hot choices, breakfast danish and muffins, "deserts" and the shrimp cocktail was simply amazing. We traveled 55 miles to the Seaglass and I can't wait to go back and share this experience with my family and friends.....WORTH THE TRIP..!!"

  • "My boyfriend and I love it at the Seaglass. It is definitely one of our favorite places. John was our waiter and he was right on it! We would definitely ask for him next time we make a reservation. John made the dining experience even more special and fun!! Please thank the chefs for an outstanding meal! We will be in touch again and will request John. Thank you kindly, Pam & Jon"

  • "Reservations on line confusing. Wanted to be by the window . 54 th anniversary. Did not realize had to call a second time to confirm window. Arrived and was given a table in the middle . Explained made a reservation and they e-mailed me confirmation was made and confirmed. Thought that was enough. Was upset to find my window reservation was not there but dinner was. That is ridiculous as why you would have to Make another call. Very disappointed with the on line reservation service; however, the manager and our server were very nice and tried to make it a pleasant dining of which they did. We looked at the on line when we got home and I did not follow the proper directions. Guess at 78 yrs old Things get a little confusing. Thanks"

  • "I requested a window seat didn't get one. I didn't know you had to call over the phone. Why have online reservations. Four of us went out for dinner. Love the views. My friend order the chicken with cream sauce. The menu did not say spices. She asked the waitress the waitress came back and told her Cajun spices. That should have been noted on the menu. She could not eat it. The waitress offered nothing seeing she ate nothing. He other three meals were excellent we wil be going back again."

  • "Scenic view but the windows were as dirty as mi mariposas martini. The bread was excellent although we did have to remind the waiter to bring it. Otherwise John was attentive and very professional as well as entertaining. The scallops he recommended were excellent. My lobster pasta was missing an integral spice. Any spice. It was bland but had great potential. Basil would have been great. Overall it's worth the trip."
