Seaglass, set right on the Atlantic Ocean in Salisbury, Mass. back up the spectacular view with good service, good and and a wonderful room. The room is bright, open with floor to ceiling glass so you can watch the Atlantic roll in just out side. We had a group of six. Service was spot on. The sandwiches, soups and chowders all were very good. The clam chowder was particularly well done. Often NE style chowders are so thick as to be like eating paste. Had a reservation for early afternoon, and we were seated immediately. Food was very good - nice selection of brunch, carving station and salad bar. Service was very good. Nice view of the ocean, and pleasant dining room. It met all expectations. Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. I was surprised by how quiet the restaurant felt even with the bar being open to the dining area, and on the day of the Derby no less. The food and ambiance are amazing. On both occasions the service was poor. Food and drink are consistent. Patrons should, however be aware that service, which is normally excellent will be compromised if an event is going on next door in the Blue Ocean. If you are short on time or an impatient personality type, check with the restaurant when making reservations. If you're looking for fine dining with an ocean view, you can't go wrong here. The martinis were suitably dry. For appetizers, my wife had the lobster dip; it was delicious and enough for two. I got the Bronzed Haddock, w/garlic mashed and asparagus. Excellent! My husband got the Scallops and Fettucine dish - wonderful! We started with a delicious shrimp cocktail 5 very large shrimp for $14 was yummy! (One suggestion; cocktail sauce was too sweet, and don't need to fill the martini glass with it -way too much.) Beet salad with spring greens, candied walnuts and goat cheese - one of the best I've ever had! For dessert the special gelato trio (coconut, peanut butter and oreo) was incredible...and not skimpy at all!! Drinks were also delicious. My husband loved the Bacon Bourbon Manhattan (yes, a real crispy slice of bacon comes in the drink!) We had reservations and I would recommend this if you want to sit by a window to view the ocean. We did not ask for a window table, but got one and it was a surprising touch. The seafood was very fresh and although we had a few mixups with sides, our waitress made up for it. She brought extra sides and allowed us to keep the ones mistakenly put on our two plates. We will definitely go back again for dinner.
