Diner Reviews
  • "This was a really good find in a strip shopping center. A small place dimly lit and very relaxing. The salads were large and amazing. The seafood dish with lobster, scallops etc. over vegetable risotto was great. The menu changes but this dish is usually on every time since it is so popular. I would go back on my next vacation for sure."

  • "Once again, the team at Sea Blue delivered a 5-Star perfomance. From the dining room, service, wine & food we had an amzing evening again. This truly is the very best food you can get in the area. Have a good long look at the wine list. It will blow your mind. From Lail to Darioush, Napa Valley is well represented. Then you can get lost in the French AOC's. Certainly the best wine list I have seen in all of Horry County. Can't wait to get back for another great experience. Cheers, Chris"

  • "Our favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach! Always a special dining experience with delicious food. Small, intimate restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. Servers are knowledgeable and attentive. Good bar scene, as well. We're 45 minutes away, but it's worth the drive!"

  • "One of the best places I have been at North Myrtle. Ask for Jason for your waiter. You will not regret it. Wonder meal in a nice quite place. Above my expectations."

  • "This is one place we always want to go to whenever we are in N. Myrtle Beach. It is five star all the way! Serve, food, ambiance all make for a grand dining experience. You will not be disappointed!"

  • "Was on a quick trip to Myrtle Beach with only one possibility for dinner out ...and am so happy we chose Sea Blue! The food, service and decor, was all wonderful. We arrived late but were not rushed and the meal was paced very nicely.... Very relaxing and enjoyable. We were three friends from the New York area on a Ladies' night/weekend away... and all enjoyed our meals, cocktails, dessert and wonderful evening out at Sea Blue."

  • "Went looking for a new special dining spot in Myrtle Beach for an anniversary dinner. How I missed any reviews on this place in the past is sadly my loss. But not anymore!! It's a lovely space, very modern without being "too". Excellent food. We both went for the lamb - probably the best I've ever had. Fabulous wines which we were allowed to taste prior to ordering (only those sold by the glass). Not enough space here to gush further, however, we'll definitely be back and will certainly recommend."

  • "4 of us took part in the chefs 6 course prix fixe menu along with the wine pairing. Delicious!!!! The quality and ingenuity of the servings were unbelievable. The wines truly enhanced the already incredible food courses. A true delightful experience. Can't wait to dine there again."

  • "This is truly the very best on the Grand Strand, The food has never disappointed!!! We have been coming here for the past few years and it is always perfect. This restaurant would and could stand up to any in the Metro NY area or even Charleston!! Quality like this does not come inexpensively but it is worth every cent!!"

  • "Food was fantastic. Fruit of the Sea (lobster tail, scallop, prawn over lobster risotto) was done perfectly. It was a quiet, Wednesday night. Service was great. A little on the pricey side but worth it."

  • "SeaBlue is no longer one of the best kept secrets in North Myrtle Beach. The word is out and rightfully so. The atmosphere provides a nice, classy escape from the mainstream. As has been the case with all of our dining experiences at SeaBlue, the staff are attentive and very courteous, the quality and variety of the food is exceptional as is its presentation. Our recent visit was just a little ahead of the seasonal vacation/golfing surge in population, but shortly you'll need reservations most nights to be sure you'll have a table …. and it will be well worth it."

  • "We rated the steaks as as good as the best we have had anywhere. The crab cake appetizer was outstanding. The wine list is extensive but a bit overpriced. Our server was pleasant and fun. My only disappointment was that It took quite a while for our table to get pre-dinner cocktails (it was a busy Valentines day - but that should not be an excuse when paying these prices)."

  • "The service and the food were outstanding! Try the duck breast with a glass of Merlot. So Good! This is our special occasion restaurant and one of the best!"

  • "Dining experiences in the Myrtle Beach area pretty much range from fast food to bad food. Locals and those of us SnowBirds who come often, really have to work to find good food. And for truly upscale cuisine, SeaBlue is as good as it gets on the coast between Charleston and Washington, DC. Real Kobe beef, fantastic duck, grouper that's perfectly prepared and desserts like Oreo cookie creme broulet. Never seen the delicate (and expensive) ham appetizer snywhere else, either. It's worth the 21 bucks!"

  • "We were seated at the corner of an elegant bar and instantly assisted by the bartender Tracy. The menu has a great selection, but then she told us about the specials, which we had to have: wild board & fennel risotto are you kidding me this was delicious! Then I had braised short ribs. Service included a beautiful blue laguiole knife but I assure you it was not necessary, as the meat was perfectly prepared and falling off the bone. My wife was kind enough to share one of her scallops , caramelized from pan searing and it was awesome. HIGHLY RECOMMEND."

  • "I had read a great review about SeaBlue and decided to take a couple clients there for an important business meeting/dinner. They called in advance to confirm my reservation and made note that it was a VIP dinner for me. Our server was outstanding! He knew everything about the menu and was able to beautifully describe the dishes and the wines! Food arrived to the table in a timely manner. I was blown away with how delicious/fresh all the dishes were! Hands down the best seafood/steak I have had in Myrtle Beach! The menu is a little on the pricey side for this area, but worth every penny! Great place to go for a special night out! I'm just upset I didn't have room for dessert - as I'm sure that would have been fantastic too!"

  • "Another trip to Myrtle Beach and as usual, another visit to what we consider the best arestaurant not only in this area, but one of the finest we have dined in. The consistency of both the food and service at SeaBlue is what brings us back during each visit. This dinner may have been the best we have had there. It is not difficult to see why this restaurant has receeived Open Table's award. Great job"

  • "We love dining at Sea Blue because the chef (Ken) has always prepared something clever and tasty. This night we were treated to a bok choy pureed soup with aioli and flaky speck floating on top. It was so creative and the flavors were delicious. We ordered the macadamia encrusted grouper over a creamy risotto which had tiny vegetables throughout and the Maryland style crab cakes over truffled mashed potatoes and haricot verts. Both meals were done to perfection. The crab cakes were jumbo lump crab meat and I have no idea how they stayed together since there was no fillers or bread crumbs evident. Delicious and perfect flavors. It was a perfect dining experience. (also, Tracy's cosmos are out of this world!)"

  • "Proprietors Ken (chef) and Tracy along with a very knowledgable wait staff brought my wife and I one of our most memorable dining experiences in a long, long time. My foie gras, and my wife's escargot were cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the fruit of the sea, while I went with the duck breast. We also ordered the Caesar salad where the romaine was slightly charred, and paired with a perfect house made Caesar dressing. the duck breast was accompanied with butternut ravioli, and haricot verts. The fruit of the sea was served over a very nice risotto. Our waiter, Eric, recommended a very nice Chardonnay a 2011 Mer Soleil Reserve that paired very nicely with the meal. We will be going back to Sea blue very soon."

  • "And for good reason... It is the best restaurant within a 100 mile radius. We drive down to Myrtle Beach from Wilmington, NC (a bit over an hour) and eat at Sea Blue 4 or 5 times per year and love it more every time. Just a gem of a restaurant where the people working match the excellence of the offerings."

  • "We returned to Sea Blue for what is becoming an annual romantic getaway. The bar is chic and the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. The best table in the house for this occasion is the semi-private "love booth" nestled in a quiet corner at the end of the bar. The service is exceptional - lots of attention without being intrusive. And the food! Great menu, great adventurous flavors, and beautiful presentation. We highly recommend it to couples of any age who want a little adventure."

  • "Based on input to OpenTable for a 'high end' fine dining restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area, I was given 5 choices. 3 of them chain restaurants, 1 not too bad if you are senior and enjoy eating at 4pm and then SeaBlue. Now remember - a high end restaurant with fine dining. WOW. Firstly - this place is expensive - you can easily blow $200 for a couple with just a meal, desert and passable wine or you can enjoy the finest Kobe beef, select vintage wines and champagnes and feel quite satisfied with your excellent choice in dining establishments. The food, service, presentation and attention meet and exceeded my expectations and as an accomplished chef I offer nothing but kudos to the owners and staff. We will be back…."

  • "This restaurant which is ucked into an unassuming strip mall is outstanding. Every time we eat at Sea Blue, we are never disappointed."

  • "We have dined at Sea Blue in the past and thought it couldn't get better... We were wrong!!! They have managed to improve upon perfection. Kobe Beef, Huge New Bedford Scallops, and Perfectly made cocktails from an outstanding bar selection, and the highly recommended bottle of Lewis Cabernet was an amazing compliment to our meals. Passing up an opportunity to dine here is a mistake."

  • "Great looking place. We loved it but not more than the food which the chef obviously loves to cook - you can taste it. Our server, though, was a scream and both my husband and I enjoyed his company to no end. The hostess was very welcoming and the martinis were as close to perfect as you can get. Believe or not, the shrimp and grits were something great democracies are made of. We aren't grits fans but we ordered on the waiter's recommendation and cleaned the plate. We'll be back."

  • "This is an amazing restaurant, and it got better with every bite. The Kobe beef is awesome, both the steak and the burger. The service was top notch. All in all, the food was great and they took very good care of us. We will definitely be going back."

  • "The food was absolutely wonderful. All 4 diners thought the food was above the level of a lot of restaurants. We eat out frequently and a few of our favorites have gone downhill. We definetely would return! I had the macadamia encrusted grouper with lobster risotto and lemon berry cheesecake for dessert, they were delicious!"

  • "Despite the loss of our favorite waiter, Steve, to Bistro 90, we were well taken care of by Jason and the co-owner, Tracy. Food was really good despite the kitchen having run out of some of the entree accompanients due to unexpected large crowds for two nights. Jason did his best despite the kitchen problems. Really like the excellent wine list with options to fit the many desires of patrons. As stated in previous reviews, this is not for pure steak and potato eaters nor for multiple evenings in a couple of weeks. This is fine wine and dinner restaurant in an unexpected location. Don't miss this one!"

  • "In more than 25 years of dining in Myrtle Beach, we've developed very few repeats or favorites. SeaBlue fortunately heads the list. Try any appetizer, yes, even the 20 dollar plus Spanish ham - any entree, and you'll be happy - and the creme brulee is classic!"
