Diner Reviews
  • "There is no reason to go out of the neighborhood for a fine meal. SeaBass Kitchen has a wonderful menu. We had four different entrees and all of them were very good. A quiet table in the corner made our evening with our friends very enjoyable. The restaurant is small and could have been very noisy, but that was not the case. The server was attentive but not intrusive. We will definitely go back soon."

  • "Everything was outstanding for lunch with co-workers. The menu selection was southern with a french spark to it. Loved it and will be back for sure."

  • "My wife & daughter shared the lobster tail appetizer and raved. They said the seabass was OK but way overpriced. The herb french fries are just fries and bland. The Greek salad, was advertised as enough for two, was hardly enough for one. The ingredients were mushy and tasteless. The feta consisted of one cube, plopped in the middle of the salad. We waited too long between appetizer and entree -- and too long to get the check. The bill was $80 -- way too much for such an average meal."

  • "1.5 hours. That is how long it took our dinner to arrive to our party of 6. We had appetizers and waited for an hour after they were brought to our table for our dinner to b e served. We requested more bread several times it was finally delivered after our meal. The shrimp scampi was delish. The trout was thin dry and should be avoided.I wish I could recommend."

  • "We decided to give the restaurant a try and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious starting with the fresh hot bread and olive oil. We enjoyed the flatbreads next. I tired their special namesake - Branzino or SeaBass and it was fresh and tasty. My mom enjoyed her lamb shank. We were one of the few tables there so I hope they can get the word out!"

  • "Went for New Years. But on-line menu that day did not indicate that a pre-fix menu would be served, which is why we chose the restaurant in the first place. But no big deal. Pre-fix menu was reasonably priced. I recall it being two apps, two entrees and a dessert. Food was enjoyable. Nothing overly amazing. Seating was a bit cramped. We had a two-topper inside next to the wall leading to the outdoor seating. So there was a lot a foot traffic. Service was excellent. Would definitely go back to check out the full menu."

  • "I found Sea Bass on Amazon, they were offering a coupon. I opt not to get the coupon because I was unsure of the restaurant. I now wished I got the coupon. This place was wonderful and the food was amazing."

  • "Four of us ate here for the first time. We arrived at our reservation time, and were promptly taken to our table. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Drinks were great! The crab cake is delicious, not too much breading, lots of big lumps of crab and the sauce was very tasty. The lobster over orzo was equally wonderful, could have eaten 10 of these LOL, and the roasted beet salad was great. For main entrée , two of us tried the Chilean Sea Bass, and I have to say this was incredible. Even the sauce was awesome!! The blackened Mahi and the grilled tiger shrimp were also good, but we will be back for the Sea Bass :0. Last but not least, the service was great and everything you would expect form a fine dining establishment!! Cant wait to go back!"

  • "Generally this place is okay. Appetizers were fair, not great. Had the Branzini which was really good but $29 a person? That's insane. Good service. Nothing compelling to bring us back. Frankly could go to a place like Kyma, get the same meal, far better food, for less money"

  • "Grilled octopus appetizer and Greek salad were excellent. Sea Bass was very good. Branzini fish was good but Sea Bass was better"

  • "Pricy, Small Portions, Grilled Shrimp was mushy and had a bitter, bad taste, it was bad, they took it off the bill no apology made an excuse Grilled Octopus Appetizer was good, waitress friendly, cramped dining room, not a good value proposition I wouldn't go back..."

  • "I travel to Atlanta several times a year and like to get together with my girlfriends when I'm in town. It's difficult meeting everyone's dietary, ambiance and location requirements but Sea Bass Kitchen hit the spot. There were four of us and they seated us at the "chef's table". At first I was ambivalent about the area given that the table was in a highly trafficked area but it worked out great. It was so much fun eating at a non-chain restaurant. Sea Bass has an intimate environment with lots of character and the food was delicious. I had the Chilean sea bass and it was really good. I'm normally a meat eater but I was ready for something different. I would definitely return to Sea Bass Kitchen on my next trip to Atlanta."

  • "SeaBass Kitchen was a wonderful surprise. Conveniently located near the intersection of I-285 and Roswell Road. Plenty of parking. Service was fast, responsive and cordial. Location, great lighting and an open feel makes this restaurant an excellent choice for a business lunch. Menu is strong. Daily fish special was blackened Mahi Mahi - with seasoning just right and not overpowering, which is too often the tendency when fish is blackened. Seafood bisque was tasty - but subtle, so that you could taste the flavors in addition to the sherry. I was surprised how empty this restaurant was at lunch time - they deserve a better crowd"

  • "Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. We happened upon a group of middle aged singles at their monthly mixer. They arrived at 5:30 pm and started drinking and then decided to stay for dinner. Our reservation was for 8 pm and by then the singles party was three sheets to the wind. Very loud yelling, obnoxious cackling from one very intoxicated woman, old guys hitting on every woman in the restaurant in hopes of not having to go home alone. Food was all right, buy if you are smart, you will avoid this place. Too many other good alternatives in Sandy Springs."

  • "Today I had my first experience at SeaBass Kitchen and lunch was wonderful! I had the blackened mahi mahi and braised kale and my friend had the fish & chips. The fish was perfectly fresh, the kale was yummy and the french fries were homemade. The bread was also delightful. Our server was Jean Pierre and he was outstanding. We cannot wait to return for dinner."

  • "I'm not sure why it took me so long to try this restaurant, but I plan to make it back often. Nice clean decor, great service, and the food was excellent. I had the trout and it was as good as I've ever had, and included garlic kale and jasmine rice. They have valet parking. Go early for dinner then walk over to Steve's Live Music to catch some good tunes."

  • "Our Saturday night group let us pick a different place and we chose SeaBass because we had heard the food was good and it's close to our home in Sandy Springs. Excellent food and atmoshpere. We'll be back and I'll be recommending SeaBass to other Cobb County people."

  • "This little place was fairly relaxed and had a cozy feel. It was clearly popular and packed. Its popularity may have lead to some of the little nuisances, like tables a little too close together and parking lot a little too small. Everyone at our table had the lobster bisque, it was very good and brought to the table quickly. Then we waited about 40 minutes for our main dishes to arrive. The Chilean Sea Bass, Carolina Trout and Hanger Steak were big hits! The Fish n’ Chips however, was not fully cooked and had to be sent back, which was disappointing. Over all the service was not well-timed; the waitress was friendly even serving more tables than average. Still the food was good enough that I most likely will give it one more try."

  • "Definitely a disconnect between the kitchen and the staff. Did not get one of two salads ordered. Veggies were incorrect on another diner's plate. Veggies on a 3rd diner's plate were cold. Service was beyond slow. Waited an hour for main meal.Had to ask for bread after sitting for 20 minutes. Waiter or busboy poured water in one diner's wine glass. Temperature where we sat was either freezing or really hot; was not regulated. Tables were too close together. On a positive note, the food was good and we did receive one free glass of wine."

  • "We've been living in the area for over a year and have driven by SeaBass Kitchen hundreds of times. We finally made a reservation and couldn't be happier with the experience. The food was fantastic, fresh, and prepared correctly. Great pairings of fish and vegetables. We were even more pleased that appetizers, drinks, dinner, and desserts didn't break the bank. Stop driving by this place and just GO!"

  • "All three are exemplary. Owner is personable, asks your name and remembers you the moment you walk in the door next time, even if there is no reservation in your name. Manager works hard making sure you are pleased. Apologizes profusely if the food is undercooked and willingly makes it to your liking. I have had trout and shrimp twice. Best in Atlanta"

  • "Food was way too salty and my fish was overcooked. Beet salad had little or not goat cheese. Worst of all was the facility. The Kitchen window where the waiters congregate to pick up food is right in the dining room - just feet away from three 4 tops with no partition. Even though the place was only about half full, our seat choices were (a) by the front door (and get a blast of cold air every time someone comes in), (b) right by the open door to the enclosed patio/banquet room and a noisy crowd of 30 people, or (c) a table by the kitchen window (and have a team of waiters hovering over your shoulder and jostling you every time they pass by). On the bright side, the staff was very friendly and the valet found our car (not so for everyone)."

  • "My husband and I dined at Seabass for the first time and absolutely loved it. The interior is quite nice, not too upscale and not too casual. The service provided by Maria and Lahcen was exceptional. I enjoyed the grilled whole mediterranean sea bass, and my husband had the mahi mahi, which were both wonderful. The greek salad was one of the best I have ever had, plus the wine list is quite extensive. The restaurant uses many heart healthy foods as well as use heart healthy ways to prepare their dishes, lots of olive oil in lieu of butter. We tasted two deserts, baklava and greek yogurt with honey and roasted nuts, both were exceptional, as was their french press coffee. We highly recommend trying this great little neighborhood gem."

  • "I dined at Sea Bass Kitchen for the first time last weekend. I couldn't be more impressed. My friend and I started with their vegetable flatbread appetizer. It definitely is enough for sharing and was very savory. For my entree I had the prawns. They were huge and outrageously delicious. My friend had the skate which was also good. but the prawns were the winner. I can't wait to return."

  • "Went to sea bass kitchen on a date night with my husband after seeing a movie. Generally I would say that the meal was not memorable at all. We had the calamari as a starter which tasted very bland. The Greek salad was good. My husband's while fish (snapper) was bland and my sea bass was pretty good. For the cost of the meal I would have wanted at least a dish or two the "popped" but that simply wasn't the case. We won't be back.."
