  • "A staple on our trips to Florida. Consistently good food and service, very good sea food"

  • "Whether you are looking for a place for a special occasion like a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or just an ordinary night out, the SeaWatch fits the bill; beautiful views, wonderful food and attentive and courteous service and of course romantic. The SeaWatch is one of a kind and one that my husband and I have been going to since they opened 40 years ago this coming November. Come join the many who call the SeaWatch their go to restaurant on the beach."

  • "A wonderful place to enjoy Sunday brunch! I had the Orange Roughy which was done perfectly. My date and I had a very romantic setting in which to enjoy our meal. Highly recommend it!"

  • "Valet or plenty of parking. Had lunch a Blacked Mahi sandwich, had a option of potato salad or cole slaw or FF. FF good. The sandwich was fresh but not much of the blackened. The view is great no matter were you sit."

  • "The views are breathtaking. Everything was great! You can't go wrong with an Ocean View....EVER! Have eaten here many many times. I am a local here.Food is always delicious. They have re-modeled over the years. Looks up to date. The restrooms look the same though. Maybe an upgrade or 2 there. But really, you don't come to this Restaurant for the Restrooms. Great Place. Awesome Location."

  • "Not the best for kids (non fish eating teenagers) My orange roughy was not good at all- exrremely fishy for a white fish. Husbands dish was awesome! Great for drinks- nice wine menu"

  • "Food and SERVICE was EXCELLENT. Waiter was extremely attentive while attending to large group near us."

  • "I anticipated a quiet romantic dinner, and while the food and the service were great, the overall experience was not!!! There was no privacy as tables were very close together, the other diners were loud and distracting( spilling drinks, breaking cocktail glasses), and their were even infants in baby carriers. Definately not my idea of a romantic dinner!!! For a restaurant as pricey as Sea Watch (it is expensive by anyones criteria) I expected a far more sophisticated crowd, not people in shorts and sandals!!! While the food and service were great, I almost felt like I was in a roadside diner."

  • "Seven of us had lunch at a large round table by the window. Our server was exceptional and we were all pleased with our food. I had the blackened mahi and substituted a side salad for the fries/slaw/potato salad side, Both the fish and the salad were delicious, but the portions were small. Others had dishes with (real) lump crab which were very good. It was a lovely experience."

  • "Ordered Prime Rib in advance (don't have normally for Sat lunch). It would be nice if this could be added to the lunch! It was terrific, thick & juicy. Also had the Orange Roughy -- delicious, with salad & soup. Everything was wonderful! The bread was far better than I remember as we often like to visit SeaWatch for special occasions as it is a little far from us. I would like to see a few more lunch specials on the lunch menu for variety and cost (perhaps smaller fish portions for a little less?) THey even sang for girlfriend's birthday & brought out a cake with candles. She was delighted! The day was very special."

  • "A dining experience when you return to a restaurant many times must be constant in it's quality. Your menu is limited but varied all the same and everything on it is of the outmost quality and we can depend on the result because of your constance. Many restaurants loose my patronnage because I go back and don't receive the same meal as the last time. The calamari is one of the most tender that I have tasted, the batter lite and crispy. The roast beef, a classic with a perfect degree of rareness.Your key lime pie is sinful. My husband would like to know where you purchase your bread, not the black bread ,the other one.We went with friends who had not been for a few years. They were thrilled and will return as will we. Thank you."

  • "We have been to the restaurant before and were mixed about it, but our recent visit confirmed it is no on our recommendation list. The restaurant is set back very far from the ocean, so while they can claim you can see it, you really are so far away from it that it is out of play. The food quality was disappointing and somewhat bland, and the menu unremarkable from many of the other restaurants around in the area. Plus, the noise level got out of control so much so that it detracted from the entire experience. Plus, the prices were comparable to many of the other fine dining restaurants (Blue Moon, Chart House) that I would try those instead."

  • "Grouper was really good and view was outstanding. Oysters tasted wierd so we did not eat them all. Salad was plain but fresh. Key lime pie was good but tasted store bought."

  • "I took my wife here 10 years ago the night I asked her to marry me. We went back for our 10 year anniversary. The food and service was just as good as it was 10 years ago."

  • "Beautiful location on the ocean - reminded me of a Cape Cod cottage feel. We were seated immediately with an ocean view! Very lovely decor. I order the grouper - which was higher priced at $29. It came with a caper/anchovy salsa -and nothing else. Others in our party ordered dishes for $22 that came with seafood & extremely larger portions. Didn't seem to be a comparable value. I don't believe grouper is an expensive fish in Florida."

  • "We had a reseservation on a Monday night but still had to wait over an hour to be seated. We waited at the bar with a friendly, warm atmosphere and great service. By the time we got to our table, it was already dark so the "scenic view" was no longer a factor. We had a seafood tower (actually a plate) for an app which was good. All menu items are ala carte, so if you want a meal, you'll have to order your salad, entree, potato and veggie separately. My girlfriend got the swordfish (unbelivelable about two inches thick and cooked perfectly!) and I got a filet and the stuffed lobster tails (yes, two entrees, it was late and I was starving!). The filet was delicious and cooked perfectly. The lobster was a little overdone but still good."

  • "We had a confirmed reservation and when I show the hostess our hard copy email she was dismissive with attitude. They sat us at a table next to the service bar and kitchen entrance. After 10 minutes we requested to be moved to another table. We were seated at a nice upper level table. The manager came to us and apologized for the first seating and stated the hostess was new and reserved customers are never seated there."

  • "I love this restaurant; I love the view, I love the Margaritas, and I love it that it's still there! I'm willing to make the trip from Palm Beach County, mostly because of the ambiance on the porch. The food has been very good from time to time (usually, actually), but this time, not so much. Actually pretty tasteless and overcooked fish, husband's lobster bland, grilled asparagus cool, not even warm, even the dessert was so-so. Can't always be great, I guess? We had reservations at 5 and by the time we left it was packed and people were waiting all over the place, and I felt that the serving staff was being "encouraged" to move us out, which wasn't especially pleasant. Maybe I'll wait until after the season onslaught to try it again."
    Dined on 3/28/2014
  • "The views are as terrific as the appetizers in the upstairs bar. The drinks, we had margaritas, are delicious and the size is more than adequate. Our dinner was served with a smile and the portions were perfect. We had a variety of the available dishes including fish, prime rib, and pasta. Everyone said their dish was prepared perfectly. The desserts were to die for. Overall, the Sea Watch is the catch of the day!"

  • "Don't order your meal until after you have appetizers and salad. They try to rush you. Caesar salad was excellent, but fish could have been more substantial considering that no starch or veggies come with it. Server was excellent."

  • "Had a reservation .and was seated promptly but then waited 10 min for server to come by and say I'll be right back. Don't know why because we were only one of two tables in the section.People at the other table had the same problem only they had a different server. We ordered and the food was brought in an acceptable time .The food was good.Having been here before I guess it was ok ."

  • "Food was delicioius from salads, crispy calamari, fresh fish and paella. Our waitress was prompt, informative and cheerful. We had been delayed on A1A from open bridges and following a Sunday driver who thought 20 was the speed limit. I called and said we would be late. I had requested a table with a view and was totally surprised that it had been saved for us. (we were 20 minutes late for a 5 pm reservation). I am looking forward to our next visit."

  • "I was very disappointed in my dining experience. We sat outside, which could have been romantic, but the tables were so crowded. We could hear the conversations of all the people around us. The Swordfish I ordered was dry and had very little flavor. To add insult,to injury it was $29.00, as were most of the the entres. Everything is ala carte. I just was not impressed with anything other than the waitress. She was delightful. For an expensive dining experience, Sea Watch was two stars at best."

  • "We always look forward to dining here when we visit Ft. Lauderdale. The combination of great, fresh seafood and the ocean view are unbeatable. This time I tried the bouillabaisse. Lots of variety and everything was fresh. Service was friendly and efficient. Too bad we live too far to visit here often."

  • "Waitress was very good . We had a couple of appetizers and soups which were all very good. Appetizers were not super large but at the same time we didn't need to fill up on food before the main course. The main courses arrived and we all had ordered something different. The Mahi was large and very tasty as well as the Prime Rib and the Fried Shrimp dinner! The Prime rib sandwich also I was told was tasty. The only complaint was that the chicken was a little dry in the chicken dinner. The sides were all good and even though no one took home any extra food we were all full and did not order dessert! It is pricey as everything is ala carte but well worth it for a special occasion."

  • "Your site said that between 5 and 6 PM you have a sunset menu with very reasonable prices. So we made a reservation for 4 under that premise. When we arrived, we were told that the sunset menu start after Mother's Day. The other couple with us is on a strict budget, and almost cried and thought of walking out. We stayed and had a lovely dinner with good service, but were very disappopinted in being misled. We certainly wouldn't have rushed to be there at 5:15."

  • "I have been here before and always had a good experience. This time was not one of those. The waitress was not attentive, forgetting we wanted to order wine and not bringing hot tea with dinner as requested. The fish that was served was not what was ordered - and it was too spicy and very dry. The waitress did take that meal off the bill - point in her favor. Again, we were disappointed in our experience. But the view is amazing!"

  • "We have been going here since very early 1980's and always been a favorite place to dine. The location on the beach is beautiful, I love the beautiful setting and the food is always very good. We have never been disappointed in the meal whether we are doing fine dining in the evening or a light lunch. Your employees are the BEST. We are locals. Additional comment, when you sell out 5pm reservations, but do not open until 5pm and all those people are standing around waiting to be seated which does not take place until after 5pm. Perhaps you should not take reservations until 5:30 pm but still open and be ready at 5pm and you can actually seat people or at least moved them more inside when they arrive."
