Sea Rocket BistroUni Lover's ParadiseHad Uni 3 ways. Shooter was so-so, but in the sea urchin shell was spectacular!
Uni gelato was a curiosity and was ok.
Everyone in our party thought the seafood was great. If only the decor matched the food.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat fishWow, is this place is a find (assuming that you can find it and also find a place to park which is really difficult). The food is absolutely fresh and cooked perfectly--this seafood was as good as I've ever had (and I don't eat red meat so I eat a lot of fish).5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe'll be backThe food was awesome and servers very friendly and attentive. I was surprised how long it took our food to come out but we weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a huge deal. Plus we appreciate slow food for what it is; I just wouldn't go for a quick bite.
We had some pretty obnoxious customers at the table right next to ours and the tight seating made it more unpleasant but I can't blame that on the restaurant. Just don't let them come back.
Bottom line is that we were treated very well and will definitely tell friends about the impressive food quality. Decor was clever too. Nice work, SRB.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's Great! We came here for the first time on valentines day. My boyfriend had half of everything on the menu, and loved it. We came back last week with his mother, and had another great experience. Thanks Sea Rocket Bistro!4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely little restaurantReally enjoyed dinner here. Very good, reasonably priced food.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Fish Sandwich, itAmazing Fish Sandwich, it might just be the pretzel bun, but I wanted to order another right then!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAs out-of-towners fatiguedAs out-of-towners fatigued after a day at the zoo, we stumbled on this place, and had a great meal. The menu was inventive and interesting, though perhaps not impeccably prepared. No matter: the meal was lovely, and a good wine list and great SD beer on tap made it even better. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and patient. The place appears to be nestled in a neighborhood not unlike one we'd find in our home city. Will definitely return next time we're visiting the area.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFour of us gathered to celebrateFour of us gathered to celebrate our wedding anniversaries with Sunday dinner at Sea Rocket. All of our drinks, appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts were excellent. I tied the grilled sardines and found them to be scrumptious. My wife's yellow tail filet was grilled to absolute perfection. Love the name Sea Rocket, love the re-purposed interior decor, especially the cardboard fish, and now know the food lives up to the hype.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFit for Seafoodie and VegetarianA friend was in town and wanted seafood; I'm a vegetarian. Where to go? I looked and looked and found this place. It was perfect. She got the fisherman's stew which was a giant bowl of large fresh things (what I remember was the giant pile of legs - crab? I can't recall now) which she said was just what she wanted. For my main dish I had the spiced bbq Seitan. It was tasty, spicy, and with home made kimchi on it. Oh yum - wheat gluten never tasted so good. Really. Based on a recommendation I also had the zucchini soup which was vegetarian and I agree, it was great. We both went for a berry dessert that you would never have known was gluten free. Terrific. What a find. (great service too)3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMHave been there w friendsHave been there w friends 3 times. Great food, but there are no noise baffles in the decor, so a full room is a noisy room. The servers are well trained, articulate, and helpful. Will go again, but earlier.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThere were 4 of us and weThere were 4 of us and we enjoyed it very much. We all ordered something different and it was all delicious.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
