"We had a wonderful experience having dinner here this past Thursday evening. we had come to the coast for the afternoon to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. We were looking for a nice restaurant for dinner and the description of the sea glass looked perfect. We were delighted to find that the reality more than lived up to the description. We were treated very well by the friendly, professional staff. The menu selections were delicious and special, including the desserts. The setting was beautiful and quiet so we could enjoy conversation. I highly recommend this place and hope I get to come here again sometime."

"I really wanted to like this restaurant. The location, the service, the decor were all very good. Unfortunately, the meal was spotty- too expensive for so the quality of the preparation.

Upside- lobster with risotto was very good as was the fegatini. Excellent accompaniment with salmon.
Downside- overcooked salmon, 2-3 bite, $13 mushroom tart appetizer; good- but "soft" biscuit was mushy with cheese on top. Fig bruschetta was too sweet- nothing wrong with preparation, just wasn't a good match). The bread served with the meal was barely above supermarket quality. The dessert list did not befit a high end restaurant ( homemade oreos, peanut butter sundae,creme brulee). $100- no alcohol, no dessert."

"This is a beautiful restaurant with a breathtaking view. The food and service matches the view - as good as it gets! I always add salt to any food served to me. There was no salt on the table and although I asked for some and got it, it wasn't necessary. The food was expertly prepared and seasoned. The only criticism I have, and it's minor, is the greeting we received. It was lukewarm, but the rest of the experience was so good that it hardly mattered. It certainly didn't alter my overall satisfaction with our dinner."

"The food was very good as was the entire experience. This was our second trip to the Inn by the Sea, and we have had dinner there both times. It is a bit pricy for us, so It is for special occasions, that being said, the view is spectacular and we enjoy it very much."

"Great food, with lots of locally-sourced food (especially the focus on Maine lobster). Wonderful staff and service, and decent pricing. Nice drink list too - loved the Maine blueberry martini."
