Asked for a special table as we were celebrating our anniversary, had a reservation and the manager had us wait for 15 minutes as he was getting a 'real nice table' ready for us. I felt like he sat us at a table in the middle of Times Square. It was so loud, and smashed in between another two top and 6 top. After 10 minutes of being very annoyed I asked for the manager and explained I made a reservation 3 weeks ago and this was not a nice table. He ended up moving us which turned into a nice evening. Our waiter was great, good was mediocre.

I've been to Benjamin's Steakhouse and didn't expect anything less from The Sea Fire Grill. As a matter of fact, they've matched Benjamin's and took it a step further. My husband and I went for our anniversary. We were over the moon with the impeccable service from the moment we walked in and the quality of the food was top notch. I see why my boss patronizes both Benjamin's and Sea Fire Grill for such a long time. I will definately refer my friends, family and clients to this restaurant and will make it a point to visit again. Thank you so much for making our dining experience wonderful and unforgettable.

This was our second time at this restaurant. The first time, the food and service were great and so we went back. This time the food was excellent, but the service was lousy. It took forever to order, the food never came. The waiter rarely visited our table to check on us, pour wine etc. I was disappointed.

Food was excellent. This restaurant wasn't given to me as a 1st choice place to select for food while visiting in NY, but I'm glad my friend and I "stumbled" across this via internet. And I wish I could trip over such a great restaurant every time I searched. The ambience was perfect and both the halibut and the branzino were delish! And there's nothing to say about the lobster mac and cheese except; just pat your tummy when you're done. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we returned for dinner the very next night.

Due to the specials before 7 PM the bar was mobbed and you could not hear a thing. The restaurant it self was somewhat less so but be prepared to have trouble hearing. The seafood was cooked exceptionally well and the service was very attentive.

Overall a great meal. Fun bar to have a drink at if you are waiting for someone. Food was excellent. Some of the best crab cakes I have had in quite awhile. Halibut was well prepared and was a sizable portion. The tuna was also excellent. Service was great and even though the restaurant was crowded there was no rush. The wine list has something for everyone!

Labor day weekend, table for two. We took a chance on a Saturday when you don't know if all fish came in the day or was from Friday (aka Thursday). We went through a few shrimp while reviewing the menu, then chose the salad of the day (excellent), then the Mussels in Riesling (very good!!) and then the bronzini whole (which I thought a bit too dry, but the eating party felt was good). I was directed from the halibut to the tuna, which was standard and ok (which means the halibut was either getting old or the tune needed to go out).... What sat the place apart was the excellent service, attentive, non obtrusive in a small setting. Well done, great night (we got to spend 2.5 hours without any hint of needing to leave), great wine and digestiv

We dined at Sea Fire on a busy Friday evening during the US Open time-frame. The atmosphere was intimate, despite the full restaurant. The service was exceptional -- attentive without smothering. The food was all delicious. We can highly recommend the mussel appetizer -- the stock was complex and unique with layers of spices and citrus -- and the Montauk Sword Fish. I do not normally draft reviews but this restaurant deserves special acknowledgement.

WOW! We thought we would like the restaurant from the write up in Zagat but we had no idea how much we would like it. Every bite was one to savor. The three of us ordered fish, each different, and each superb. The side of creamed spinach was the best ever - and I am a tough critic of creamed spinach. Breads were excellent as was the accompanying spread of marscapone, herbs and more. Wait staff were appropriately attentive but not hovering. This is a real gem!

The place is elegant, food great - both of us worked to finish each dish - the portions were good sized but not huge. My sword fish was done to perfection, and my sisters seafood mix with pasta was equally yummy. We were celebrating my sisters 72nd birthday. We enjoyed some bubblie - at a reasonable price - and the waiter asked if was a special reason for our dinner, I told him about her birthday. When they brought our desert, they had put a candle on hers. Special but not over the top.

We recently celebrated my wife's birthday at the Sea Fire Grill. The staff and management were very friendly and accommodating and acknowledged my wife and our special event. The service was excellent as provided by James and his supporting cast. My wife's meal (yellow fin tuna) was excellent. Sea Fire Grill was not what I was expecting-- which was upscale and sophisticated and a bit more subdued. You enter a very loud and busy bar scene -- so loud you can't hear each other!!! Asking the hostess, it is an 'after work scene' and has a number of regulars from area offices. The restaurant is in two sections and luckily we were seated in the back section which is quieter, but not quiet. Service is adequate, and food ok. Portions are 'steak house' large. No real complaints about the food, but really nothing special.

Group of seven for dinner. Had tuna tartar, grilled shrimp, fried calamari, raw oysters and little neck clams, and oyster rockefeller for apps. Entrees of halibut, couple of blackened mahi. couple of bronzino and rib eye steak. All the seafood was excellent but do not order steak here. Even though it was "dry aged prime", does not measure up to Wolfgang or Sparks. Order seafood here, since this is their specialty. Dessert of tiramasu, apple upside down cobbler? , and chocolate molten lava cake was excellent. The waiter was gracious enough to ask if we were celebrating a birthday and gave us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine for the occasion. We all had wine and lots of different scotch with our meal. Good experience.
