They really know how to make their customers feel recognized and appreciated. The staff get to know their guests, and make everyone feel special. I am sure this leads to lots of repeat business. I know of no other restaurant in nyc that does it better.

The service is professional, friendly, low key. Just as we like it. The food is amazing and the wine list extensive. Though there are a lot of seafood dishes there are meat alternatives for those who don't like seafood. We love to go back very soon.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here. Everything on the menu is beautifully prepared and presented. I had the oysters Rockefeller and you could still taste the freshness of the oysters. I also had the salmon which was perfectly cooked with the crispy skin up and the flesh just cooked enough, all on a bed of lentils and parsnips. Staff is old school polite.

The wait here for each plate was insanely long. We got seated in the private room as it was a special occassion, which is actually worse than the rsgular dining area. They did offer dessert on the house since I think they felt bad.

From the warm greeting at the door to appetizers that are not only tasty but creative- this is fab. You can order seafood so fresh you would think you were on the boat where it was just caught. Like the red meat, no problem world class steaks a la Benjamin's on premisis. Do what we do - order a steak and a swordfish and share. It is undoubtedly the best surf and turf you will find. My favorite in the city.

Although there seemed to be too many waiters (around 5.30pm+) and they seem to loiter around chatting with each other, service was still prompt and quick. I wished did not hang around the tables to chat with each other. Food was good, slightly on the dry side for my lobster, dessert was pretty awesome.

The restaurant is very loud and the acoustics of the low ceilings do not help. Seating is a bit cramped and the general feel of the place is a little claustrophobic. It took over half an hour to be seated even with a reservation and the hostesses and GM on staff during after-work peak hour not helpful at all. Once seated, however, the meal was fantastic. We ordered a variety of appetizers as our meal with drinks, shared by the whole table. Everything was cooked wonderfully and was delicious. Our server was also very attentive and helpful and a different GM who came by was lovely.

Parties of 4 and more for a casual evening with excellent sea-food this is a good choice. Don't expect to engage in deep conversation as the noise level is way to high for that. And talking of noise levels, this is a common complaint I have about American restaurants.

Victor and his staff made us feel like we we have been long-time regulars, even though it was our first visit! A great non-touristy spot in the Lex hotel area. Branzino happily served just like wife asked. Brussel sprouts are a must! (but skip the mac and cheese...tasty, but huge and way too filling).

Last night we enjoyed fresh east and west coast oysters; whole Branzino, blackened swordfish. Have elected to dine here frequently and the fish is simply superb. For the non-lovers they're a sister to Benjamins Steakhouse and have great steaks available. I sincerely appreciate the excellent service. A very reliable spot

Unusually happy dining experience for NYC: The space is modern, bright and attractive, the menu is varied, and everything our party ordered, from the bread basket and flavored butter to dessert and coffee was delicious. Other than a wonderful mushroom soup starter, we stuck to the seafood section of the menu, cooked in each case to the degree ordered. The wine list is pricy, but the New Zealand white we ordered was particularly good. The management and service, from the greeting at the door to the offer of liqueurs 'on the house' at the end of the meal could not have been better.

The staff was not hovering, but your glass never went below half full. Their wine list was awesome if a little pricey with a lot of bottles that you don't find elsewhere. The food was perfectly prepared and fabulous. The whole bronzino was fabulous as was the garlic prawns. The best was the oysters with the vinegar shockingly phenomenal.

Asked for a special table as we were celebrating our anniversary, had a reservation and the manager had us wait for 15 minutes as he was getting a 'real nice table' ready for us. I felt like he sat us at a table in the middle of Times Square. It was so loud, and smashed in between another two top and 6 top. After 10 minutes of being very annoyed I asked for the manager and explained I made a reservation 3 weeks ago and this was not a nice table. He ended up moving us which turned into a nice evening. Our waiter was great, good was mediocre.

I've been to Benjamin's Steakhouse and didn't expect anything less from The Sea Fire Grill. As a matter of fact, they've matched Benjamin's and took it a step further. My husband and I went for our anniversary. We were over the moon with the impeccable service from the moment we walked in and the quality of the food was top notch. I see why my boss patronizes both Benjamin's and Sea Fire Grill for such a long time. I will definately refer my friends, family and clients to this restaurant and will make it a point to visit again. Thank you so much for making our dining experience wonderful and unforgettable.

Food was excellent. This restaurant wasn't given to me as a 1st choice place to select for food while visiting in NY, but I'm glad my friend and I "stumbled" across this via internet. And I wish I could trip over such a great restaurant every time I searched. The ambience was perfect and both the halibut and the branzino were delish! And there's nothing to say about the lobster mac and cheese except; just pat your tummy when you're done. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we returned for dinner the very next night.
