Sea CatchHappy,Happy hourI do business in Georgetown four times each year. I always try to arrive at Sea Catch for Happy Hour because I am an oyster lover. My most recent visit, my friend and I ordered a dozen each of the oysters they had on special. One was fromVirginia and the other from Oregon; both were fresh, plump and succulent! Management has added a Malbec to their half priced happy hour wines so I was particularly happy, so happy in fact that my friend and I ordered another Two dozen oysters. That's right- 48 oysters altogether. Then, we proceeded to dinner where I had swordfish and my friend had scallops and risotto. When we left the restaurant we were so happy we laughed all the way back to our hotel!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMnice experienceHad a very nice and non rushed evening. Well done. Service is always good here. We often come for happy hour specials.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden GemGreat food and ambience. It's hidden along the canal- so it's very quiet.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMHave been here before, greatHave been here before, great seafood in nice atmosphere, good service5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMover pricedThis place was much too expensive for good but not spectacular food.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMOverallIt was a really great experience. Great dining experience, especially on a nice day sitting oustide overlooking the canal in Georgetown. Service was great!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat outdoor dining and seafoodMy fiance and I have been to Sea Catch twice: once for happy hour on an early Friday evening and once for a Friday lunch with my parents. The best thing about this place is the atmosphere: old stone walls and a nice bar indoors, lovey seating along the canal in Georgetown outdoors. The food is very good: fresh seafood and flavorful dishes (the Manhattan clam chowder was particularly good). Our only complaint is that the service was extremely slow during our lunch. This place is ideal for a special occasion or romantic dinner.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat diningMy trout was excellent. Vegetables cooked to perfection, not to hard not to soft. I dined with my friend on the patio. The canal and the trees added special atmosphere into the city setup. Will visit again.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMeal with a viewOverlooking the canal in Georgetown, this makes a perfect setting for a delicious meal.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAll around enjoyable experienceThe ambience was great, the service was excellent & attentive, and the food was superb. We had clams on the half shell, steamed clams, and jumbo shrimp cocktail for appetizers and all were fresh and delicious. Drinks were perfect. We had surf and turf; scallops, crab cake, and salmon all were perfectly prepared. The kid entrees were reasonably priced and tasty too. We did not have any room for dessert so we can't comment here - it was a good night all around for our family dinner out for a special occasion.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent locationExcellent location in bottom Fog GT area, limited wine selection.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat evening outSea Catch was recommended by a friend. WBB.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent entrees with rightExcellent entrees with right size portions- recommend the Tuna steak. Service was also terrific. We sat outside on the porch overlooking the canal where there were a few tables. It is a great place to go with a friend or small group.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMMost EnjoyableThe Sea Catch was recommended to us by a couple who was just leaving. We asked what they thought and they used words like Awesome, Amazing, Delicious, Two Thumbs up! We tried it for ourselves and we agree. can't wait to return.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe place can be hard to find,The place can be hard to find, but the food is delicious and the wait staff has been excellent each time we have eaten at Sea Catch.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMade reservations via email.Made reservations via email. Greeted by host after a short wait. If you like seafood order the seafood skyscraper, it was excellent. Had the seafood pasta dish and that also was very good. Nice wine selection.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBusy but accommodating. We arrived late and the host was gracious and was able to accommodate us, even though the place was packed. My wife enjoyed the Lobster and I had the best trout I have had in a while. The service was good and everyone was quite friendly.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat seafood place. greatgreat seafood place. great for not being salty, letting natural flavor of food come out. healthy as well. for what we ordered: seafood linguini, a seared fish, a little too creamy for our taste, but still thin cream, not the thick kind. we liked it most for being confident enough not to make food too salty. generous portions.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways great seafoodMy family of four, including two teenage daughters, totally enjoyed the meal. I ordered a 2lb lobster, which was excellent. My wife had the scallops, and the kids had the filet mignon, and seafood linguini. Everyone raved about their meals. My only quibble is with the service. We ate early (5:30, when they opened for dinner), and the restaurant was mostly empty. We were near the bar and I watched my drink sit there while the waiter was nowhere to be seen for 10 minutes. He had two other tables, but wasn't at those, either. Also, near the end of the meal, I had to remind him I ordered a coffee, which came after we were almost done with our desserts. In the big picture, however, this was minor. We had a blast and will definitely go back.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOver all, the food was veryOver all, the food was very good, but the time between drink refreshes and orders coming out was a bit lengthy. The drinks were also all different tasting even though the order was the same thing. I had 3 and they went from weak to a little better to normal finally on number 3.
And it was $189.00 for 2 people and we did not go crazy. We did maybe 18 oysters and 3 appetizers and drinks... maybe 3 double bar drinks and 4 glasses of wine.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ambiance in this hiddenGreat ambiance in this hidden away spot in Georgetown. Booked a tabl with my girlfriend on Friday and was pleasantly surprised by the roaring fires and cosy ambience. We had a great bottle of white and thoroughly enjoyed the crabs legs and escargot to start. Check it out!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThe atmosphere was wonderful,The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was exceptional, and the food was top of the line.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGet Caught By Sea Catch ...A lot going for Sea Catch -- located in an brick and stone building adjacent to the canal, the ambience is created by the building and enhanced by the proprietors. Awesome cozy bar and casual dining in one section (fireplace!), yet also a separate area for a finer dining experience -- all expertly served from the same short but very sweet menu. Food was great all around. The only thing missing was some good background music. All told, a great spot, and we shall return. Highly recommended.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and great location.Excellent food and great location. Staff was great.
