  • "4th time at Scott's and always a special occasion, therefore have never been disappointed!"

  • "Four of us were at Scott's to celebrate a birthday. As always, the food was wonderful. They provided a complimentary dessert and bottle of champagne for the birthday girl! It was a nice touch. I highly recommend Scott's."

  • "We agreed as a group of 5 that we would all have fish dishes at Scott's. The children's tilapia and the adults Achiote Tilapia was inedible. It tasted like bad fish. We sent the kids meal back but I ate the polenta off my plate so I felt like I at least got a meal out of it. The ahi was OK but not worth over $30...bettter to eat at a sushi place. The fish and chips was not fitting of a seafood restaurant...maybe more like a dish from Applebees. The trademark Macadamia Halibut was too greasy and even the halibut did not taste as fresh...the vegetables on that dish was good."

  • "Great brunch spot! Try the crabcakes and calamari."

  • "We've been dining at Scott's Seafood on the River for a few years now. The pleasant surprise is that the food, which was ok, has gotten better."
    Dined on 7/1/2014
  • "The food and service was supurb. The parking stinks. Very limited number of self- parking spaces way out on levee. If you have mobility problems or cannot find one of the few self-parking spots you must use the Valet Parking, which is $7.00. Since this restaurant depends more upon an outside customer base, the hotel should provide the restaurant with more self-parking spaces or allow the restaurant to validate parking. The Valet parking is a racket!"

  • "Service was great, very attentive and suggestive on food options, answered our questions and made our dining experience a joy to be remembered. I would love to experience your outdoor dining when temperature is cooler to take in our surroundings. I would return and recommend Scott's Seafood as a must for any reason."

  • "My husband and I chose Scott's for our date night and we were not disappointed with the service or food. The minor issue was that self parking was full so we had to valet but that was fine. The views were lovely and we enjoyed our time."

  • "We live 10 minutes from Scott's and have eaten here several times, and brought others for a couple of them. Mike, our server, was particularly attentive this particular Saturday morning, and as usual, all the food was very good. The Creme Brûlée French toast is always a good choice. However, they continue to have almost no vegetarian options on the lunch and dinner menus - we'd dine there more often if they did, as the location is unbeatable!"

  • "This was our first time at Scott's Seafood. The support staff was attentive - used dishes were removed almost immediately - and the food was good. The view of the river was very nice. The overall experience was positive, and we will likely return."

  • "In spite of the Sacramento heat, we dined on the patio. The staff was great about moving the umbrellas around for the guests to keep the hot sun from roasting us. I love the patio because it is quieter than the restaurant which tends to be very noisy. Food was very good - fried calamari, Dungeness Crab Louie and a beautifully presented swordfish. Service was a bit slow though our server was very pleasant. I would like to return for Happy Hour during the week."

  • "Service great, food good...it was a hot day and it was difficult to create shade for everyone. Maybe get more umbrellas? Also, sun reflects off of the hotel windows...maybe find ways to block that? The heat was just a little distracting from being comfortable."

  • "Our dining experience was very good. The only negative was that our server at first did not make it clear that if we were there for a special occasion, and we were, as we were celebrating my husband's birthday, that his dessert was complimentary. When I asked one of the table help he confirmed that it was and so we ordered one dessert. After a bit of a wait, it came but we were charged for it. As we were in a hurry to get to another commitment, we just paid the bill and left."

  • "Great atmosphere but food not so good. Portion of swordfish was small and calamari was not up to usual. I think the restaurant has suffered some by trying to be a bar/party place rather than a good restaurant."

  • "Miguel was a wonderful Server, and everything was spot on- especially the delicious sword fish!"

  • "We were there to remember my aunts life (who died at 94). Needless to say, there were 3 quite elderly women (and I'm not so young myself). The staff was wonderful, from the bar tender to the hostess to the waiter and server. I can't thank you enough. PS Everyone enjoyed the food"

  • "All in all it was a great evening. We celebrated our 43rd Anniversary here and were very satisfied with the food and service. A nice perk was we received a bottle of champagne as a gift to take home with us."

  • "We had no idea Scott's on the River has been open so many years. This was our first visit. We enjoy outdoor dining with a water view and will be back for special occasions. Our early dinner on the patio with friends was great and Leslie was a great server. Complimentary bottle of champagne for our 50th anniversary dinner was a special touch."

  • "My salmon with Mediterranean pasta was excellent. Even though it was a hot afternoon, we were in the shade on the patio with a nice Delta breeze keeping us cool. Our server, Miguel, was very attentive and presented us with a complimentary bottle of champagne at end of our meal. Will visit again real soon."

  • "My wife and I were celebrating our 13th year anniversary so we went to Scott's on the river thinking that this would be a great place to celebrate. We were impressed with the restaurant and the food. The service was terrible. We had to ask for water a couple of times, the waitress was not around many times and when we told her we were celebrating our anniversary she didn't seem like she cared at all. We have been to other Scott's around the Sacramento region and have had great times. We have even received several bottles of sparkling wine at the Scott's in Folsom, but this Scott's didn't do a thing. We will not be returning to this one in the future."

  • "Though I've lived here for over a decade I didn't even know Scott's opened on the river let alone Sacramento has a Westin. The only thing I was disappointed in was that when I made my reservations I let them know we had two birthdays . Not a word from the server until my cousin said something. I didn't want to have to announce it rather, I wanted them to say something and do something special like my favorite sushi restaurant does. My dad was happy with the place and wished his 70th had been held there!"

  • "We celebrated our 49th anniversary - while it was not the big 5-0 it was nonetheless a significant one. We so very much enjoyed our dinner outside in such a relaxed atmosphere. Scott's showed such class by surprising us with a bottle of champagne!"
    Dined on 6/19/2014
  • "Our meals were deliciously prepared and attractively presented. The salmon special was amazing, for example. The salmon itself was lovely, of course, but I was amazed that the bed of pasta and veggies on which it rested was even tastier. Sitting outside on the patio overlooking the river gave a romantic ambience. Highly recommend!"

  • "Great to celebrate event like birthday or anniversary!"

  • "I've been to Scott's many times and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. This particular time had a service hiccup in that I ordered a particular wine by the glass (a chardonnay) to come with dinner, and it was fairly late, leaving me to stare at dinner while it cooled off since I really wanted to enjoy them together. The waiter seemed to be trying to provide good service, so maybe the cellar had trouble providing him with a glass of the correct wine, chilled. Otherwise it would be a five star review."

  • "In general a good place to go...memorable food? Well...probably not. Not that the food wasn't good...it was. But it is not the type of place that you'd say "I have to go back and try more!"...well worth a visit for sure with your sweetie, but there are other choices in restaurants that will pull you back over and over again!"

  • "For the last 4 years my family has gone to Scott's for the Father's Day Brunch. My husband loves the variety of food that is available. The atmosphere is nice. The food is very fresh. My daughter and I look forward each year to the creme brûlée. It is a great place for Brunch."

  • "A few years ago we were extremely pleased with the buffet at Scott's in Folsom-- the food was delicious and there was quite a variety of dishes offered--Father's Day this year we decided to try the river location and were terribly disappointed--The roast beef was mushy and inedible--the salmon was overcooked and had been prepared with a sauce that didn't complement the fish at all--what I thought was cheesecake had no flavor ( the lemon bars were pretty good and so was the coffee)--perhaps the breakfast items would have been better but we were there for the last seating and had already breakfasted--we filled up on raw oysters, cold smoked salmon and lemon bars."

  • "My husband thought his dish (coppino) was. Rey well done but I found my entree (shrimp fettuccini) to be bland and uninteresting. Th e mixed green salad was. Rey good as we're the desserts (berry crisp and berry sundae). My after dinner French roast coffee was not fresh and was lukewarm."

  • "Ordered crab Louie, which consisted of iceberg lettuce, a small amount of crab, half a boiled egg, some tomato slices, and not much else. At $19, they couldn't include a whole egg? Friends said their meals were bland and otherwise unimpressive. If Scott's wants to charge high end prices, they need to hire better chefs. But as long as they have the location to draw in customers, I guess they can get by without it."

  • "We went to Scott's to celebrate an early Father's Day. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable & made excellent suggestions. The Website boasted of River views, unless dining on the patio they were river tree views. The food was good & we had a great time."

  • "Restaurant recommended by the Westin. Made a reservation long wait before even before anyone came and brought us water very noisey atmosphere! restaurant about half full. Great gluten free menu options. My husband has celiac and had the cioppino and liked it a lot....but no bib or wet towel provided along the way...asked for this and got it. Water refills few and far between. I had the NY York...un edible, so,over done and tough 'not especially nice presentation of cold grilled veggie or potatoes croquets. The waitress did eventually come over but I didn't want to wait around to begin another meal and possibly have a similar experience so we paid the bill, we did tip and left so un satisfied."

  • "We have been here many times and every time has be outstanding. The service is always excellent. The food is delicious. The one small drawback is the noise level. Some of our party is hearing impaired and it is very difficult to hear one another."

  • "good food and our waitress was excellent. great place for a wedding anniversity dinner"
    Dined on 6/7/2014
  • "The setting on the river is very nice, and the design and decor of the restaurant is quite good. The bar's cocktails are a step above the average, but still not as inspired as they could be. The wine list has good variety, but the 2 by-the-glass wines we tried were both poor examples of their varieties. The food was a big disappointment. Under-seasoned (bland tuna poke, basic steam-table rice avocado-crab tacos with no tangy sauce or anything), or over-cooked (bitter, elastic-y clams). The fried calamari were OK, but not great, and the bread before dinner was the best part. I was excited with the ambiance, but disappointed with the food. Service was good, but table was only available 25 minutes after reservation time."
