  • "Personally for the price it’s just not worth it. The only thing going is that they are probably the only place left that gives you unlimited Champagne or mimosas. Sad to say will not go again. Just really too expensive."

  • "It's very rare for me to recommend a restaurant so highly, but this one checked all the boxes with high marks. I was critical in every way, but the service, food, environment and cleanliness surpassed my expectations. Great job Scotts!! We will certainly come again!"

  • "Excellent sea food! Sit by a window and watch the world go by in ships! Soft piano music lends to the ambiance. Very good service."

  • "I like Scott's for brunch. The food is always good and the is service is excellent. We like to order off of the brunch menu."

  • "Had a fantastic time at the Sunday brunch -- tons of and a variety of foods. Had a jazz band with a singer -- a drummer by the name of Smiley did an improv number with his drumsticks, walking around the room pounding on things (really cool). Seemed there was a table in the bar area where people gathered to take turns singing in a jazz karaoke at the mic -- all quite talented! Highly recommend dropping in to relax and fill your belly! As usual, the team at Scott's always make us feel appreciated and at home."

  • "I felt the prices are to high for for what you get. For three of us, it was over $150.00 without drinks. I don't like fish that much to return anytime soon."
    Dined on 6/29/2014
  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our family dinner at Scott's. Lovely staff & location. We'll be back again someday."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "It's gorgeous sitting outside and watching the boats. I splurged and had the lobster. It was sweet and perfectly cooked. My husband had the seafood salad which enjoyed, and my son had the shrimp pasta which he liked. It's lovely having a place like this on the East Bay."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "I love petrale sole dore, but so many restaurants serve something that's greasy and tasteless that I'm always cautious about ordering it. Gave it a try at Scott's and it was fabulous!!! Light, tasty, and plenty of fish. Came with garlic mashed potatoes and a big serving of perfectly cooked spinach, and extra sauce."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "The food was fair to poor. Both the swordfish and prawns were over cooked. The flavors were uneventful, presentations uncreative. The place is tired. We will not return."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "The best part of the evening was the service. When we arrived, they took an extra couple of minutes to get us a window table. They were very attentive at making sure we had everything we needed."

  • "Wanted to find a nice Sunday brunch in the East Bay. Saw some reviews and was very happy we booked our Sunday brunch at Scott's in Jack London Square. The selections were top notch and if you enjoy seafood this is a perfect spot."
    Dined on 6/22/2014
  • "They've got a funny system for parcelling out waitpersons to tables in this restaurant; instead of putting a server in charge of a block of contiguous tables it looks like each table gets a different server. The downside of that arrangement is that there's much less chance that you can get the attention of your server if he/she is serving all over the restaurant instead of in the "neighborhood." The food was just okay...but the coffee was great! I wish it were the other way around."
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "I always enjoy Scott's. During June they are having a special menu, but we wanted something from the regular menu and they were able to accomdate 1 of our 2 request so that was nice."
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "We had one seafood dish and one meat dish. The seafood was good. The meat dish was awful. It was tough and dry. The wait staff rather ignored us when a party of 6 or 7 came in and sat near us. We waited for about 10 minutes to get the desert menu and another 15 for the desert."

  • "Enjoyed a one year anniversary dinner with my queen here. Great place will definitely go back again"

  • "I took my husband and his boys here for Father's Day and everyone enjoyed! They loved the food, the atmosphere and location. It was his boys first time and they totally loved it!"
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "Hard to believe that a place charging very healthy prices would tell you that 'our restroom is out....you'll have to go across the street to the garage bathroom if you need one'.......and even more surprisingly to say so without a hint of an apology for this disservice. To top it all off, it's been a LONG time since we've had such poor service. Attitude of servers was they were doing us a favor. Food was pretty good, but we'll never go back. Such a shame for a lovely locationed restaurant!"

  • "Went to Scott's for Fathers Day our party did not all arrive at the same time. They do not seat you unless your entire party is there, which I understand. Once we were seated the service was impeccable. They have the best sourdough bread, Boudins. All the food that was served was served at the perfect temperature and with lotsof flavor. No complaintsat all about out evening."

  • "My family and I spend Mother's Day, Father's Day and some Birthdays at Scotts in Oakland. The prices are a little high, but we don't mind spending money if the food is spectacular, the service is excellent and we get enough to eat. Scotts is well worth it. Their Filet Mignon is juicy and tender. The Macadamia Encrusted Halibut is to die for. And their salads are always fresh, delicious and the portion is worth the price. Along with the ambiance and the boats going in and out of the Marina, it was a memorable Father's Day. Our favorite place to dine."

  • "Used Open Table to book a "window" table at Scott's for a birthday celebration and it worked!! Food was very good as always. Service attentive, but did not feel hurried. Used a coupon, and had wonderful evening."
    Dined on 6/12/2014
  • "The macadamia nut crusted fish had very little crust and no flavor. Two pepple in our party of six said the same thing about the fish. The waitress was terrible. They were'nt that busy but we waited about 20 minutes to get service and anothet 15 to get drinks. She just was not very attentive at all."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "Very nice setting at a table along the windows. The service is very attentive without hovering or making you feel rushed. We lingered and enjoyed Sunday brunch with bottomless Mimosas - your glass was kept full."
    Dined on 6/8/2014
  • "Like the location, the food was ok, the ability to see the waterfront & the boats was cool. But the place was LOUD. Had trouble hearing others at our table. The service was fairly slow & had visits from a few big horse flies to our table."

  • "My Thai seafood curry had too much coconut milk and was overly sweet, and the mussels were very small. But the scallops were tender and lovely. Making the sauce a little less sweet and rich (use low fat coconut milk) would allow a little more of the curry flavor to dominate. The ingredients are so flavorful by themselves that they don't require additional fat to add richness. Everything we were served was fresh and good quality. I'd give the curry a B+."

  • "Scotts when it was a singular location in SF was fabulous. The location in Jack London is getting a little tired. Also the quality of food is catering to a very different palate"
    Dined on 6/10/2014
  • "Food was great and the service was very good. Took a little long to pick up the bill and settle, but overall very good. The halibut cheeks were fantastic, the halibut with the mango chutney needed a little more chutney. Desserts were also great, bread pudding, crème brulee, chocolate cake, black and tan sundae, and apple crisp. Everything was great as was the view."

  • "I hadn't been to Scott's in over 7 years because of various reasons. I had a friend relocating to DC and she wanted to go there, so reluctantly I went. I was very surprised and refreshed from the time I entered until the time I left. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was excellent. I don't think any of us left anything on our plates. The only exception was the service, it was rather slow and not attentive for this particular location. Our server was very nice, but a bit slow. I wasn't aware that Scott's was part of the Eat, Drink and Earn Rewards program since I haven't dined there so I missed an opportunity for 165 points (disappointing). I've already recommended Scott's to a few friends and plan to return in the near future myself"

  • "I have dined at Scott's Seafood in Jack London Square many times over the years... everything from wedding anniversaries to serious business meetings and it is always excellent- the food, the ambiance, the view. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the East Bay."

  • "The prices have gone way up here and I was a bit stunned by that. I used to be a regular at the restaurants. The food was still really good and the bread MAKES the meal. $25 for a salad, even one with a little seafood on it, still makes it less likely to be a place I would go very often. Service and ambience was terrific."

  • "I chose Scott's because I wanted my dining companions to have a wonderful brunch experience. They had not dined at Scott's before and found the experience wonderful. They traveled from eastern areas of the bay area, there they traveled some distance. The varieties of salmon were a hit. This is continious good service and food. I will return."

  • "I first ate at Scott's more than 30 years ago when it was located on Lombard Street. I ate there three of the four nights I was in San Francisco. This time, with the move and several bad reviews, I was prepared to be disappointed. I wasn't. It was better than I remembered. The food was great, the service better and dinner for eight was a lot less than I expected. Scott's stays on my go to list for the San Francisco area. It's worth the trip across the Bay Bridge to get there."

  • "We always have great service when dining at Scott's and especially enjoy the views of the estuary at sunset. A good selection of wine and beer can be had,as long as you know about them yourself. Service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Always love the seafood cioppino, and the prawn cocktail is much better than many."

  • "The food is outstanding if you like fish. Only one chicken, pork and beef dish on the menu. Deserts are excellent. Had a coupon for a free bottle of wine with two entrees that the server forgot to take off the bill so she gave us another free bottle when the mistake was pointed out!"

  • "We are here for a family wedding...went to Scott's one night for lovely intimate dinner with my husband. The food was excellent, service was attentive and caring, the If you was great and we could actually hear each other easily. We went back the next night with the whole family and the waitstaff was absolutely spectacular. Scott's is fantastic at helping your family honor a very special occasion. Flower for the bride, special dessert for the couple and they took pictures that arrived in a Momento card for the couple before we left. And all this was courtesy of the restaurant!! Totally impressive and made for a memorable evening for our whole family."

  • "I was not expecting to walk onto a 1980's cruise ship dining area. That's how I felt from the mis match plates to the old brown padded wooden seats to retro chandeliers. The ambiance truly needs some updating. I ordered the Sole and it was flavorless. I was disappointed in the meal. Additionally the menu on open table is not the same menu at the restaurant. The reason for picking this restaurant was due to the menu and i was disappointed that 2 of the items I wanted were not featured on the menu once I arrived. the service was ok. "

  • "We have dined at Scott's in Jack London Square several times. We have never been disappointed with the food or service, plus the scenic view of the bay. We will continue to frequent this establishment and recommend it to all who have not been there. Thanks for a wonderful and enjoyable birthday luncheon for my friend. We will be back very soon! "
