  • "Scott's Easter brunch was simply wonderful for this very special day for the family. "

  • "We've been to Scott's many times. We attended Easter Brunch for the 3rd straight year and as always it was delicious. Wide variety of foods which included breakfast offerings (custom omelets, french toast, grits, biscuits and gravy, etc.) and high end entree items ( prime rib, roast pork loin, oysters on the half shell, several shrimp and salmon offerings). Great service and atmosphere, we will definitely return."

  • "First visit to Scott's Downtown. Notable for many reasons. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the small booth. Each course of our dinner was really outstanding. We came away saying that we would be back and deciding which entree we would choose next visit. My guests were from Denver and it was nice to show them that there are nice restaurants in Gainesville--the city that will be my new home. "

  • "Food was very good and served in a timely manner. The service was good but not as good as would normally be expected for the price."

  • "We cannot say enough about the food. Everything we had was prepared perfectly. The restaurant is beautiful. The guitar playing softly in the background was the perfect touch. We will definitely return for another sumptuous feast!"

  • "I have long suspected that Scott's Restaurant may be the finest dining establishment in Gainesville, Georgia, and chose to celebrate the one-year anniversary of my marriage with my wife there. Neither of us left disappointed, and were ridiculously full! Both her Chilean Sea Bass and my grilled Mahi Mahi were of perfect consistency, tangy and sweet at the same time, with a fine glass of Syrah to wash them down. For dessert, we split a chocolate cake that was so decadent that it almost dissolved on our tongues. This was a genuinely romantic and wonderful meal!"

  • "Our ladies group went to Scott's for lunch and were treated like we were frequent customers!! The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious!!!! Scott's is also a wonderful place to come for that special occasion! My husband and I have been there several times for special occasions and the service was always excellent!"

  • "My entree was above average. Two of my guests had dishes which were very salty. One had to send it back for an exchange. Ambience and service was very good. Will probably try again."

  • "Scott's is an absolute gem. The food is prepared perfectly and the service is spot on. To me, consistency is very important when I'm ot for the evening and the food and service at Scott's is always the same... perfect. Make Scott's your next evening out. You will not be disappointed. Order a martini and savor every sip!"

  • "Having never dined here before we did not know what to expect. The location is beautiful, guest musician wonderful, and the food delicious. The wait staff were friendly and not overbearing. A very special place indeed."

  • "Lamb lollipops nice, nothing special. Spinach salad nice subtle favors. Lobster special great flavor but overcooked. Mashed potatoes were basic as was green bean side. Could bump up the flavor profile. Nothing with complex flavors eaten here."

  • "In this elegant but casual dining experience, we love the little nooks on the side. Everything about Scott's Downtown is a cut above. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable, the food excellent, and our server, Kyle, really attended us with such care. Our Atlanta fine dining experiences do not top the total experience at Scott's."

  • "It was our first trip to this restaurant. The location is good. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated. I loved the ambience. They have these tables for two in small alcoves. The chef and owner made his way through the entire dining room and greeted everyone. In my opinion, that was a very nice touch, very classy. The wine list was wonderful. The dinner menu was nice. My food was good. I had the diver scallops and my husband had the filet. We both enjoyed our meals. I had the cheesecake which was quite delectable. Our waitress was a little slow getting drinks to the table. I already had my salad before my wine. She was very nice and pleasant, but nothing extra if you understand what I mean. We will go back."

  • "Scott's - delicious appetizers and entrees, calm atmosphere and warm, friendly service - for us this local and easily-reached gem is always a treat. Hint: go for the food, but expect fine, unobtrusive service and a visit (usually) by Scott himself to your table. They have an excellent wine list but try specialty martinis such as the French pear martini."

  • "We went to Scott's for the first time on Valentine's Day, so we didn't know what to expect. I'm glad. We were very pleased from the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left. The food was incredible. My husband is a picky eater and mainly mimicked my food choices, except his salad choice. He is not a cheese lover, but was blown over by the appetizer that was a cheese tray centered around a fried goat cheese ball. The next day he asked me if it was something I could try to imitate. Not a chance. Too delicious. I can't wait to go again when they have their everyday menu."

  • "Scott's is perhaps the best choice for upscale dining in Gainesville. My wife and I had a very pleasant experience there on Valentine's Day, which was our first visit to Scott's. There was a fixed menu that had a variety of selections to satisfy any palate, and though our lobster tails were overcooked, the filet and scallops were outstanding. The wine list is extensive. We moved to Gainesville from Roswell about a year ago, and Scott's would fit in very nicely with the vibrant Roswell restaurant scene we were accustomed to."

  • "This restaurant has the potential to really be great. The menu has hints of flavor and creativity, but the restaurant ultimately fails to deliver. With a reservation, we were seated promptly, enjoyed the ambiance and light jazz vocals in the dining area. The food was pretty good, but the service was atrocious. Our server was pretty much non-existent after we placed our initial order. Our glasses were left empty (wine AND water), dishes weren't cleared from our already small table. (We weren't the only table to have this complaint.) For the money you pay to eat at Scott's, the service should be impeccable. However, management appeared to be concerned over our experience and kindly offered to make things right."

  • "Valentines Day Fixed Price Menu was $90 per with wine, tax, and gratuity, but my wife and I felt that it was a greate experience and certainly recommend as a special occasion. The food is excellent (surf and turf) with fried oysters appetizer, crab bisque, and white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. The complimentary chocolate-covered strawberry and glass of champagne topped it off nicely. Pleasant, attentive service and nice atmosphere with excellent live music as well.."

  • "We tried Scott's for dinner this weekend, and were happy with the venture to Gainesville. While the neighborhood doesn't lend itself to walking around at night, the restaurant itself is conveniently located with plenty of parking. The staff was welcoming and professional in their care for us, which was greatly appreciated. The food itself was good, not great, but good. We had the tuna & crab tower, the Scott's Ceaser salad, tomato bisque, sea bass & market mixed grill. Everything tasted fine but, for my palette, nothing was particularly remarkable. What I did like a lot was the presentation of everything. They do a nice job with "plating" the different courses. Overall, it was a solid dining experience."

  • "Scott's was a wonderful Resturant to ring in the New Year . The food, service , music and ambience make it a night to remember. I will go back again in the near future."

  • "Overall ver enjoyable experience and I will return. Scott's moved to a larger restaurant a year ago but it may be a little big for them at the moment as there were 10 empty tables near us on a Friday night. Excellent service and chef Scott personally came around to say hi. I would give the food 8-9/10"

  • "Scott's was the perfect place for a holiday gathering for two very good friends. We stayed for 3 hours enjoying conversation and never seemed pressured to leave. Scott even checked on us several times, and our server was wonderful. We would definitely choose Scott's again for lunch and hope to try this restaurant for dinner one night."

  • "Very nice to have a cozy little room all to ourselves. Salmon was amazing. Fried bowtie pasta with spinach/artichoke dip also a big hit."

  • "We've been to the original location, it was a little awkward and forced. The new space is wonderful. It's huge. Tall ceilings hardwood floors, very nice ambiance. The place was sparsely populated for a Saturday night. Our server was great, very accommodating and flexible, the meal had a nice pace. We had the specials. Fish and short rib ragout with pasta. Both were very good, well prepared and tasty. We went to the bar for a after dinner drink. Another nice spot that's much better than the previous location, big screen TV's, separate seating area's, huge bar. We live in G'ville. So to have something like this so close is a treat for special occasions."

  • "I've been in Georgia for a year and always wanted to eat at Scott's. The ambiance and staff were very friendly. The food was not that great. The chicken was dry and the mashed potatoes were missing something. The creme brûlée was good though. I would hope to give this place a second shot, but don't think it's worth the amount they charge for the food. A little disappointed."

  • "Great service, as always. Scott always makes a point of talking to everyone and making you feel like a valued customer. Our server, Hailey, was attentive and took great care of us. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and had a great time!"

  • "Scott's never, never disappoints us, for the tasty food, personable service and calm atmosphere. Special touch provided when Scott himself comes to the dining area to greet customers at their table, even though he is very busy in the kitchen overseeing everything. A good place for fine dining at OK prices, and the value for money is excellent. Scott's is the best we have found in the Gainesville GA area. Try it and you will see."
