Scottish ArmsGreat food and conversationI had the haggis and a red wine (Malbec) and both were delicious. The atmosphere was lit soothingly and was great for conversation (even if you come alone!) -- I had quite an engaging one with the well-traveled person sitting next to me at the bar. A great place for a relaxing or romantic evening.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat salmon and cheeseAs a second trip, my girlfriend and I ordered the smoked salmon along with salami and then the cheese plank. All was extremely delicious and a great price.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Scottish Arms doesn'tThe Scottish Arms doesn't disappoint. It's one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. They have a small but diverse menu of very good British food. The noise levels are not disturbing even during lively times. One minus, I would skip the Shepherd's Pie --- mashed potatoes and little else.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food, but a bitFantastic food, but a bit skimpy on some of the portions, considering the price point. Still great, though.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Haggis FrittersExcellent Haggis Fritters to start, a delicious ceasar salad with bacon, then currywurst sliders, a lamb burger, and the amish chicken were all shared and thouroghly enjoyed. Will be back many times, because the menu is big in all the right places4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMScottish Arms is one of myScottish Arms is one of my new favorite restaurants! I had a turkey-bacon sandwich and it was great -- and enough for 2 lunches. Wednesday after 12:30PM proved to be very quiet with a small customer base so the service was also super. All in all, a very good experience.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing brunchBloody mary bar, endless mimosas, incredible food. Our waitress was outstanding and the food was insanely good. Just what we wanted in a brunch! You can't go wrong here, whether it's for brunch, late night, or sometime in between.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe wanted a quiet, cozy barWe wanted a quiet, cozy bar with some comfort food on a cold and rainy night and we found it. The mince and tatties were delicious! Try them. The waiter was great, helpful with suggestions on both drinks and food, patient as we were experimenting a bit. It was a great date night, a little more casual, but cozy and fun.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMeveryone there provided outstandingeveryone there provided outstanding service and were so nice. we were all very happy with our meals. will go again. The staff are great, attentive, very friendly.
The draft beer selection is excellent and there's a good bottle selection. Not a scotch drinker but the selection is impressive! Nice outdoor courtyard, too.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was awesome!
