Flourless chocolate cake, gelato etc all delicious. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Wine specials certain nights (1/2 price bottles originally $40 & under).
Always new specials to try each time we dine there. Shared the cavatelli with rabbit sausage pasta special and then had the pork tenderloin and chicken parm between us. The restaurant was quiet enough to easily have a conversation and our waitress really went out of her way to take care of us. The waiter even served the pasta table side as our appetizer that we were sharing - a nice touch. We didn't have dessert, but they sent us each a shot of homemade limoncello to finish off the meal on the house. What was new this time around was a water issue. I brought my father for a birthday lunch. As we were seated & before being provided a menu, the waitress asked if we wanted some water and my father said yes. The waitress asked tap or bottle &just about anyone would take bottle over tap, and he said bottled. You easily thought that this was complimentary & would be some 500ml Poland Springs or other brand. It was a 64oz glass bottled water. After asking for the bill, I saw a $7.00 for the bottle. This was very deceiving and she should have told us that there is a charge for the bottled water and let us know the size of the bottle.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMMy First TimeA friend asked me if I wanted to try Scottadito out - I said sure. From the moment we were greeted - we were treated wonderfully. The team was attentive, they made sure our drinks were never low (water AND mimosa) and I'm fairly sure the omelette I had was the best I've had in a long LONG time.
I will absolutely be going back - I have not one draw back for this experience. I tried it for brunch and was surprised to find that although it continued to meet expectations for great food and service in an attractive setting, the noise level was terribly high especially in the back which is where I usually prefer to sit. Food, service & ambience were fantastic. Three-veggie soup and imported, melt-in-your-mouth Bufala mozzarella kicked off the extravaganza. Homemade wagon-wheel mac & cheese tops for kids meal. Homemade gnocchi light & fluffy, reminding me of recent Bittman article in NYT Magazine. Beautifully butterflied Branzino w/ head & tail held up well in strong, fragrant mix of greens, artichokes, olives & capers. Complimentary homemade gelato for both kids doubly appreciated since only 1 kids meal was ordered! Least-impressive was tiramisu, though hardly a put-down. Decal coffee was as good as it gets.
