ScossaDisapointedI brought my oldest and best friend of 55 years to celebrate his retirement at Scossa and although the food was very good the service was lacking, the waiter was extremely inattentive and the we waited almost an hour for our food to be brought to the table. I generally have an excellent experience at this restaurant and often bring out of town guests here to dine. I hope this was just an off night and not a permanent condition.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, atmosphere andservice~Will definitely return, looking forward to trying different dishes . Service was exceptional.
Atmosphere was even better than expected.Hoping to try to eat outdoors on terrace next time.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely dinner with friendsWe had a wonderful meal, friendly, attentive waiter, Jeremy, in a delightful outdoor atmosphere. Food was delicious, superbly prepared and served.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMNo dessert? We were celebrating our anniversary. They were opened on a Monday night, which is rare on the Eastern Shore. The food was good especially the smoked salmon. Veal, salmon entree, and Caesar salad were tasty. The bread was great, we had two baskets. assistant servers were attentive. A Cosmo was great- good bartender. We left with a bad taste in our mouth, so to speak though, because our waitress got busy with a larger table and we sat there for 10-15 minutes after we finished and when she finally came to us, she left the bill and never asked us if we wanted dessert. We were dumbfounded, paid the bill and left. I would think that a restaurant like this would be more courteous.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat placewe really enjoyed our lunch............i'm sure that a dinner would have been great !5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Milestone Birthday PlaceVery happy with Scossa! We sat at a round table in the back and had no problem hearing anyone in our large party of seven. The food and service were great. You can actually create your own pasta dish -- we loved that. Highly recommended for visitors to St. Michaels/Easton area.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMenuI wished there would have been more of a selection. What I had was very good, but would have like more options.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMImpeccable Service & Lovely MealIt is rare to find a restaurant with old-fashioned elegant and non-intrusive service. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. My dining partner had the sauteed scallops and mushrooms appetizer which was excellent. I had the fish soup which is made with whatever fish is fresh and tastes fresh as a result. The initial mix up with my soup, was corrected quietly and graciously. We split a half order of eggplant parmesan next. This was freshly made with thick slices of eggplant. My dining partner had veal parmesan which was very good. I tried that day's special which was a lamb shank. I have to say it was among the best I've ever had. A dish to savor. Desserts were beautiful, including a peach sorbet served in a frozen peach.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways delivers! This is among the many times I have dined at Scossa with my husband and friends. We have never been disappointed. Everyone raved about the food and the ambience and service all added up to a perfect evening. We will continue to come here!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful restaurantFood was fantastic. Service was suburb. Ambience was beautiful with muted color scheme, great lighting, all contribute to a enchanting evening. We ordered the fixed 3-course dinner and were very happy with choices. Veal scallopini was delicious as was the soup starter....I had the minestrone, but heard mention that the fish soup was exceptionally good (not one of the choices). Tiramisu was spectacular as was the cappuccino. After our main course, our server encouraged us to linger over our Pinot noir before dessert was served and we did. No rushing. The server, Olga , was exceptional and they had a full compliment of wait staff that never let our water glasses go dry. Wonderful restaurant. We'll be back!5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is absolutely my favoriteThis is absolutely my favorite restaurant. No matter where I go I compare the food and service to Scossa. TheWe had a fabulous meal. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. We found that they paid attention to all the details that make our experience here a cut above other similar restaurants.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent, but serviceFood was excellent, but service was rushed. Plates and drinks were removed from table without asking first. No need for this since restaurant was not filled and we were the last sitting. My wife's wine glass still had wine in it.
Vegetables that went with our meals were simple but a perfect complement. Fish and steak were cooked perfectly.
Would definitely go back, but next time will warn server to slow down.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways consistently fine cuisineAlways consistently fine cuisine and we drive 45 mins from Annapolis!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restaurant!Scossas is always a consistently great meal. Very nice.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I had a greatMy wife and I had a great dinner at Scossa on Monday night, 4/1. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere. If ambience is important to you then I would highly recommend this restaurant! Of course, it's certainly not all about the atmosphere. Our food was equally as excellent. I ordered the veal cannelloni...superb! The chef came out to greet us at the end of our evening to be assured that we had a good experience. Definitely recommendable!4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to Scossa on a friend'sWe went to Scossa on a friend's recommendation. The attentive staff was great! Our food was delicious and we can't wait to go back!
We both had spinach ravioli in butter and sage sauce. The flavors were delicate and we realized tomato sauce would have ruined the gentle taste of the spinach. The bread basket was tasty and the wine list impressive.
Scossa is on our list when we are next in Easton.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe well appointed and comfortableThe well appointed and comfortable physical surrounding and pleasant atmosphere set the stage for the most notable ingredient of the dining experiance - the dedicated staff and servers. Amidst th welcoming environment, they move about with a low key warmth and reserve that can cover a welcomed, light quick-witted response to little passing events.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was delicious. b ThereFood was delicious. b There were four in our party and all were very pleased with the meal.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWE arrived at 6:30 for ourWE arrived at 6:30 for our anniversary dinner and ran into friends who also had reservations at 6:30. It was the first night of Restaurant Week, and the restaurant was crowded. Scossa staff was happy to find us a table for four in a private room, where we did not feel rushed.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWent to check this out duringWent to check this out during restaurant week during a visit with my parents, had an early reservation midweek, so there were not many tables taken. The service was excellent, they made my drink exactly as asked, had the fried calamari (done just right, not too much coating) the veal scallopini was very good, my mom had the risotto with spinach and shrimp which she said was very good. My parents commented that when the weather is nice many people are sitting outside. Was concerned that their website had a more formal dress code (states a jacket is not required), but business casual is more like it.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMSo glad we tried Scossa duringSo glad we tried Scossa during Restaurant Week. My husband would have preferred another choice for dessert but I'm a chocolate lover, so was quite happy with the chocolate pyramid. Veal sauce was great.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways excellentA top Easton restaurant with a well earned reputation for excellence and attention to detail. Made a reservation throught Open Table requesting a special dish for an occasion. It was met and provided an excellent dining experience - as always.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful northern ItalianWonderful northern Italian cuisine! A side of gnocchi were light and airy pillows of flavor, unlike the heavy leaden blobs that usually pass for gnocchi. Lovely setting and absolutely worth the 45 minute drive from Maryland's western shore.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMIF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR THEIF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR THE BEST OF THE BEST IN DINING, THIS IS THE RESTUARANT - FOOD, SERVICE, AMBIANCE, SCOSSA HAS IT ALL AND WILL NOT DISAPPOINT.
