Diner Reviews
  • "WE came to Easton to celebrate my husband's birthday, which I mentioned when I made the reservation. Everything was superb and they surprised us with a "free" tiramisu dessert! The food is delicious, service impeccable and the ambience perfect. This is our favorite restaurant of all the places we have been to, including Washington, DC, Baltimore and Annapolis."

  • "Food was good, the server friendly but the kitchen slow and the added dessert despite our request for none..."

  • "Scossa aims to please. Menu is diversified. Every item is well prepared. They will split items and accept special requests. Wine list is very good, especially, the Italian reds. Highly recommended for groups of 6 or more. Easton is fortunate to have this restaurant. Usually see a restaurant of this caliber in a major city."

  • "I was there during Restaurant Week and the chef did not stint on providing a gourmet meal at lunch for the special budget price. The risotto with porcini mushrooms and scallops was scrumptious. And ending the meal with a decadent tiramisu was a mid-day treat. I will be back even when it's not Restaurant Week."

  • "WE have eaten here before and it is our favorite restaurant; that includes everywhere we have been in the last 25 years! I just wish it were closer as we usually don't drive to the Eastern Shore except for concerts or weekends with friends. The food, service and ambience make this a perfect place for a romantic dinner and this was our first "date" in ages. We usually go out with friends unless we are traveling in the US or the Caribbean."

  • "Consistently excellent...friendly staff and service."

  • "From the minute we entered the restaurant we were treated like royalty. Every staff member was superb. Our waiter was delightful and attentive to our every need. We had a reservation for lunch since it was one of out party's birthday. They escorted us to a wonderful booth. It was high backed, rounded and cushioned. Its design made us very comfortable and afforded us privacy. Lunch prices are reasonable and you can order half portions of some of the pasta entrees (not indicated on the menu). Our birthday person received a complimentary tiramisu (complete with candle and singing waiter) - delicious!"

  • "For no particular reason, my wife and I rarely go to Scossa despite its excellent food and service. Our 41-year-old daughter was visiting us. We decided that Scossa would delight her and us. And it did. Our daughter. who may have been dining at Scossa for the first time, despite her frequent visits. loved the food and ambience. Just a terrific evening."

  • "Excellent food, ambiance and service. Highly recommend this restaurant for dinner in Eastton"

  • "The good: it's a friendly place with good service. The bad: the food was just not that good. The daily risotto was overwhelmed by a bland sauce. The pea and potato soup was heated unevenly, which made me believe it had been tossed in a microwave before serving. Wine selection was good, but pricy compared to other restaurants in Easton and St. Michaels. Based on their reputation, we may give it another shot, but not anytime soon."

  • "From the European decor to the toothsome food, Scossa is what all restaurants should be: worth every penny, well made food, attentive service, and much better than most of us could prepare at home. Homemade pasta is firm and the sauce that dresses it woke up our mouths. Perhaps my favorite thing about this lovely place is that the wait staff automatically replenishes silverware with each course. I have grown accustomed to the server removing my used utensils from the dirty plate and placing them back on the table. Ugh! Bravo, Scossa! We will be back."

  • "Great food as always! Great service as always! And many thanks for the birthday wishes and such. My family and I eat there about once every two months or so and we are always treated like royalty there. They remember us, engage in small talk about how the family is doing, and go out of their way to make sure our dining experience is what it should be. They promptly refill water, refill the pre meal bread basket, and make sure that our actual dinner is served to our expectations. We truly have never had a bad meal there."

  • "Cannot believe this place has good reviews. Our caesar salads were awful. Entrees also bad, my husband did not eat half of his greasy veal parmesan. My rock fish with lemon caper sauce was unmemorable. Balsamic Scallops appetiser was okay. Beautiful eastin otherwise fun. Our server sctually laughed when i asked for recommendations on the menu. Don't waste your time"

  • "Great northern Italian - sweetbreads, liver, carpaccio, calamari. Good wine list, nice atmosphere, wonderful wait staff."

  • "The service was wonderful and very patient while 6 women chatted and decided what to order. We exchanged presents and left a mess of glitter - for which we are very sorry. We did not feel rushed and had time to catch up on a year of activities. The food was excellent and the portions were just right."

  • "While there was a glitch with our reservation, the staff went above and beyond excellent service to make sure we had a wonderful evening. The hostess was very friendly, and helpful. Our server was outstanding: knowledgeable and flexible. We were in no way rushed. Even the chef stopped by to ask about our satisfaction with the food. After a rocky start, it turned into a perfect evening for both our guests and us."

  • "We had lunch at Scossa on Sunday, Nov 10, 2013. The selection was good. One of us opted for the special menu and had sauteed chicken with capers and lemon sauce, and the other had grilled vegetables. Vegetables on both plates were fresh, cooked to perfection with a bit of crunch. Chicken was well cooked, and the service was impeccable: prompt without a hovering waiter."

  • "My wife and I decided to try a local place for a date night. Service, wine list, food was all very good. It has more of an energetic than romantic ambience to it. But that's to be expected on a Saturday evening. I would recommend it to someone seeking Italian cuisine. I don't know that I call it a destination restaurant."

  • "High quality food! Loved the veal cannelloni and veal chop! Chop was like butter ...... Need better booze though, some bourbon selections would be nice!"

  • "We have been to Scossa many times, and will continue to go back. Basically, we find the restaurant relaxing: the modern decor is nice, the benches are comfortable, the food and wine are comforting, the service is pleasant, and carpeting softens the usual restaurant noise."

  • "If you don't feel like a full meal, check on the bar menu, including half portions of various pastas. Very taste."
