"We wanted a restaurant with a view. Schooner's was so wonderful we at there for lunch, then dinner and again for dinner the following night. The food is terrific, the view the best, the service even better. Highly recommended. NOTE: You enter through the Monterey Plaza."

"While the greeters and wait-staff were extremely attentive and performed flawlessly, we felt the menu was very, very (did I say very) limited. I expected that a high-end seafood restaurant would have a greater variety of selections, but there are perhaps 6 (I didn't count) entree's to choose from."

"This was our second evening at Schooners (we had such a good time the first time). Take your friends from out of town to this excellent restaurant from service to cuisine, you will not be disappointed. The clam cowder is the best we have ever tasted and we are not novices. I particularly want to compliment the wait staff for knowing exactly how to pace the dinner from appetizer to entree to dessert. It can be a bit noisy at first around 7PM, but gently calms down later as people enjoy the fabulous food. Do it!"

"The Monterey Peninsula is a very tough area for restaurants to succeed because of the excellent restaurants we have here. You might say the locals are spoiled and well they should be. This restaurant is OK but nothing out of the ordinary for the area. An excellent restaurant for the hotel guests. For locals parking is a problem and we found ourselves having to leave the dinner table to feed the parking meter. 25 cents gets you about 10 minutes of parking. We later found out that the restaurant had free 2 hr valet parking which we never had read about! Noise level was not bad for a Saturday night on St. Patricks day. Service was good and the young ladies at the front desk were very friendly when arriving and leaving."

"Another awesome dining experience at Schooners Coastal Kitchen! We had a wonderful birthday celebration for our son. The food was spectacular and the service was attentive and seamless. There were 8 of us dining and so we were able to try many different dishes to share amongst each other. We are very impressed with their new menu and love the ambience in the restaurant. Looking forward to many more dining opportunities."
