  • "Second time I've met friends here for dinner. Food was excellent again. Good variety and something for everyone. The grilled shrimp salad is excellent and perfect for a warm day. There were a couple of large groups and it's a small place so it did get noisy. Was difficult to hear at times. But once they left that wasn't a problem."

  • "We ate at Shilleci's for a Friday night family dinner. The food was excellent. As we were about to leave it started to pour down rain, so we decided to stay for dessert. So glad we did! You can't pass up the beignets and coffee, delicious!!"

  • "We dined at this restaurant this past Saturday, March 22, 2014. My husband ordered an Abita beer, which is the first beer on their drink menu. They didn't have any COLD ones!!! Really, what restaurant has this issue especially on a weekend. It is a New Orleans type restaurant, you should never be out of a NOLA beer for any reason."

  • "I've had great seafood and Cajun food in many locations including New Orleans, and Schilleci's has some of the best! Their bread pudding is the best I've ever eaten. And, their stuffed shrimp is perfectly seasoned and fried. Enjoy :)"

  • "Wife and I ate here for the first time, early supper. We each had a bisque (the crab was much better than the lobster), and then we split the tuna, with the mango topping. It was cooked just right, and was better than I expected. It made a nice moderate portion for two. I accepted their offer to serve it on two plates. (the waiter didin't mention the $3 charge to do so). The bread pudding was pretty good (but I lived in NOLA for 10 years, so I"m jaded.... even there it's hit and miss). The service was quick and cordial. Only disappointment was the bread: I had to ask for it (or maybe that's what the $3 was for), and it was NOT baguette. Not sure what it was, came already sliced. Pretty lame for a New Orleans-style restaurant."

  • "I'm a native of the New Orleans area, so perhaps my expectations are too high. But I don't think so. Every time we eat here, the food is mediocre at best, at least compared to anything I am used to having in Louisiana. My shrimp etouffe, for example, lacked flavor, had a soupy "broth" and slightly overdone shrimp. My dining companions all had different entrees, but felt much the same. The beignets looked like beignets, but were much too cake-like in texture. I'm sorry to say that most food at Pappadeaux's is more authentic and flavorful. Wish it were not so, as I would be your biggest fan. It's great to have such a potentially great restaurant in The Woodlands, but the emphasis is on the word "potential." Please keep improving."

  • "Family and I had an early Saturday lunch here during trip to Houston. Welcoming, wait staff right at our service. Food was really good - red beans and rice really good for a restaurant! Overall really good food without overly seasoned and spicy dishes that some "New Orleans" restaurants feature. Schilleci's is doing a good job serving up authentic NOLA dishes. We enjoyed!"

  • "...failing of a plate two-thirds full of french fries and one-third full of what you actually ordered off the menu. The single hush puppy and the crab cakes that were on the plate were quite good, though. In addition, although the restaurant was not too busy, the service from our waiter, Greg, was slow. He seemed to forget about us, as well as things that he was supposed to bring us. Once he remembered, the service was quick."

  • "The owners welcomed us immediately upon entering the restaurant. The service was attentive yet not overbearing as some places can be. On top of the great atmosphere and service, you get to experience the menu. Better than anything I have ever experienced in New Orleans. A very nice find!"

  • "My wife and I love dining at Schilleci's. We are huge fans of Cajun food and the atmosphere is always promising. The service is very quick and smooth, as well as they have the best mimosas we think in The Woodlands. If we ever have a special occasion or just a small brunch, Schilleci's is our favorite place. 5:5 Stars hands down."

  • "My wife & I live in the Woodlands & go south to Houston to have dinner w/ friends about once per month. Our friends are somewhat foodies & always take us to new, interesting places when we visit. We decided to stay in the Woodlands to ring in the new year & our Houston friends joined us. We had a fantastic time & the food was terrific, as always. The owner & staff are always so welcoming & accommodating. 4 different dishes were ordered by our group of 5. All were great. The gumbo is the real deal."

  • "Our service was really great - our waitress was extremely attentive and on point. The seafood gumbo was delicious and I especially enjoyed the pan seared tilapia. Will definitely go back. One more perk: I had a coupon for a free bread pudding : )."

  • "We had a group of 9. Our server was wonderful and took care of all of us. It was quiet in there so we were able to talk to each other and hear the conversations. The food was excellent as well. I had the Blackened Tilapia and we also shared the Gator appetizer which was very good."

  • "Everything is overpriced by at least $3 dollars. In the Woodlands, you can expect that a restaurant will charge more, but Schilleci's is a little over the top considering the quantity and quality of the food. I am from New Orleans, and oyster po-boys are one of my favorite foods from home... Unfortunately, my oyster po-boy at Schilleci's was sub-par. The oysters tasted old and fishy and the breading fell off when I looked at it. The dressing and the bread were fine-- but you can't excuse oysters that bad. It would be better off the menu entirely. The fries were a soggy mess. The hush puppies were alright, but you only get two of those. The gumbo was great as usual, but again, it costs too much for what you are getting."

  • "While everyone else went home to soak their shopping feet, took the opportunity to treat ourselves to a girls night dinner at Schelleci's. Best part is that they're on Open Table so you know you'll get a seat. 2nd best part is that the food is really good!"

  • "Schilleci's was a most pleasant surprise. We had just been in New Orleans for a week and I must say the food "taste and presentation" was superior to some of the highly rated hot spots in New Orleans. The greatness of this establishment is the service and great at home feel that was genuinely presented; made us feel welcome as a guest. Not all restaurants do this, very few do it well!! The menu represents an under priced bargain. Our choices were all delicious and of extremely high quality. Highly recommend and will certainly return when back in The Woodlands. Thank you for a great experience. Ron"

  • "Our party of 4 really enjoyed our experience here. The food selection was great with both Cajun and non-Cajun items available. The meals arrived and we all ate every bite. 3 of us had the Grouper specials but prepared differently and they were excellent. We finished with a bread pudding that was perfect in every way. Our service was excellent and accommodating. I definitely recommend giving Shillaci's a try."

  • "A small hole in the wall that you never know was there if you visit Market Street area but never go off on any of the little side streets. When we first walked in the restaurant was empty but by the time we left it was full. I'd have to agree with some of the previous posts that their prices are a bit high, but the food was exceptional (except the dry horrible French Bread...defiantly not made in house) We had fried calamari for an appetizer, seafood platter for dinner, and the bread pudding for dessert that was highly recommended. We also got a bottle of wine. And the whole bill came to roughly $100."

  • "Restaurant was nice however quite a bit over-priced. I can eat at Pappadeaux's or Babins and pay less for the same food. The pricing comparison between lunch and dinner is really no difference which makes for a disappointing lunch. Next time I'll definitely go to Pappadeaux's for lunch. The food quality was good. The service was just ok..had to ask a couple times for a few things and it appeared the waiter wasn't interested in going above and beyond with his job."
