Me and two friends went there for a Girls Night Out. Aside from how far away it is (Port Jeff quite a drive from Glen Head and Huntington!) we were happy with the restaurant, location, atmosphere, and food. We went on a Saturday evening around 8:30 PM and the dance floor and live band were hopping. Staff was very friendly and the lunch menu was great! So many great choices it was hard to pick one. The lobster mac and cheese and crabcakes were awesome! We also sat on the front deck with the windows open! It was a beautiful day and they have a great view! My family and I were at Schafer's for brunch recently and were greeted by a friendly hostess. Right away I knew we were to have a great dining experience. Brunch was excellent and the price was right on. Blood Mary's and Mimosa's were excellent too. Service was great and our waiter was very friendly. The staff was very accommodating. We opted to dine in the captains room which was quiet. Our waiter was very friendly and nice. We ordered the daily special which was delicious. The portion size was large and we had plenty leftover.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious Easter BrunchWe had an Amazing Easter Brunch at Schafers...the raw bar was outstanding, the shrimp, clams, fresh..my son is in love with the homemade Waffles!! There was plenty of food, with the omelet and waffle stations, buffet with cheeses and fruit, lunch options and a variety of delicious desserts.
