  • "I consider myself a 'bon vivant', someone who will go anywhere for great food and great cocktails, and will pay just about anything for the pleasure as long as it lives up to expectations. I have been to some of the finest restos in NYC, Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vegas. This week in Vegas I experienced the best dish ever... short rib & bone marrow agnolotti with horseradish & brown butter with toasted breadcrumbs. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the flavors melded together so wonderfully I could melt. Something just as simple as breadcrumbs added the perfect little crunch. I also had the beef tartare with quail egg, and the spaghetti with basil (both so simple and perfect), and a flavorful cabernet. Best!"

  • "I was driven to Scarpetta for a simple reason - Scott Conant is known to be a master of pasta. And well... I love to eat pasta. Scarpetta is a superbly run place that serves the finest pasta, spirits, and wine that you could want. There is not that appears to be out of place or askew anywhere. The menu offers a variety of choices from large meat meat dishes for two to exotic seafood, but the star of the menu is the pasta section. Each is perfectly balanced and cooked leaving you wondering how you have never experienced pasta like this before. The staff can recommend wine and desserts based on your tastes and previous orders to ensure you have a perfect and complete meal. While a bit pricey like the rest of Vegas, this was worth every penny."

  • "Ambience is amazing with view of bellagio fountains. Pasta was extraordinary -- rich flavors and texture esp the duck/foie gras ravioli and the beef rib. Server was borderline rude--not knowledgable about wine list, dismissed our questions. My friend also ordered a pasta with iberico and only got 2 slices of it; when she pointed this out, he came back with 2 more slices and literally dumped it on her pasta then left."

  • "First the positive. The food was excellent. The problem was the service. The server was very friendly, but too many issues. First, we got our cocktails, and after a few minutes, he took our order. We wanted wine, but our server never asked. Worse yet, he came by a bit after we got our food,and while walking asked if everything was okay. We said that it was, and before we could even asked for more drinks, he was gone. 2 of the 6 drinks at the table were totally empty, and he never asked, and still worse, he NEVER CAME BACK. Our drinks sat empty for 75% of the dinner, and even when he ordered dessert, he did not ask if we wanted coffee or anything else to drink!!!! It was almost unbelievable."

  • "From the moment we arrived, we were rushed out of the restaurant. After ordering appetizers, we were told that we should order quickly so, "it won't get weird in the kitchen"... We wanted a relaxing meal and the server made it a poor experience. Made us nervous when he came around to sort of check in. What a great brand.. hopefully the service will catch up."

  • "Very rushed and impersonal. We had the short rib pasta, the lobster pasta, short rib appetizer and the polenta appetizer. All were ok but extremely rich and nothing noteworthy. In Vegas, there are so many great options I've come to expect outstanding and this food was just meh. Wait staff rushing around, they are clearly trying to move the patrons through quickly. Decor is nice but tabletops are bare laminate - no tablecloths. All contribute to a pretty unsatisfying experience. Much better meals to be had in Vegas - like Delmonicos or Michael Mina."

  • "My husband and I are not big gamblers, so when we both ended up in Vegas for work, we loaded up our itineraries with reservations. This restaurant came recommended to us by a friend who called it "one of the best culinary experiences of his life"--this is not an understatement. The food was phenomenal, the wine list was mind-blowing, and the service was exceptional. If you want to have a nice, upscale meal in Vegas, Scarpetta is the place to go."

  • "The waiter recommended the signature tomato basil spaghetti so my wife ordered it. I have to say we were sure that it came from a can of Chef Boyardee! It had no visible basil or tomato and no taste it was a signature dish for a truck stop. I had spicy duck breast which was ok, overly salty and not spicy. Service felt very rushed to bring your food...in fact the table next to us had to ask the waiter to slow down on bringing the food to the table."

  • "We had been looking forward to this meal for a long time. I can't say it was horrible, but coming off two really excellent meals in Vegas, this one just didn't measure up. The star of the dinner was foie gras ravioli, everything else was pretty average. But, the server was extremely unattentive, which I would have excused had he not lavished attention on the table next to us. Thanks for being judgmental for no reason ! I think we spent more, and received less advice or explanation of any of the menu items. Service makes the meal for us, this guy ruined it."

  • "Ok - we made a reservation and requested a view. When we got there, they had a table for two overlooking the Bellagio Fountains. It was the most romantic view of Vegas ever. The meal was wonderful. The steak was fantastic, and the seafood pasta was delicious. You get what you pay for here. The chocolate cake was to die for! Fabulous all the way around. Break out your pocketbook and eat the dinner of your life! :)"

  • "This was my third visit to Scarpetta and from beginning to end not as good as last year. It was my birthday dinner which was noted in the reservation and no one seemed to care. I had the black cod, it was rubbery. My daughter had the fettuccine with broccoli rab and it was sour tasting. The best dish was the seafood pasta."

  • "When we arrived the hostesses seemed frazzled and slightly unprepared. We then realized it was probably because of the rude customer who needed to complain about his seat. Our seat was spectacular! We had a perfect view of the Bellagio fountains. The cranky customer ended up leaving as well as two other tables before ordering. It just created an uneasy atmosphere . Our server was friendly enough but didn't seem thrilled that we weren't interested in ordering tons of booze and food. We chose Scarpetta since they has both regular and vegan/vegetarian options. My appetizer was wonderful but my vegan meal was so over salted that I wasn't able to finish it. Maybe the cranky customer through everyone off but I wasn't pleased overall."

  • "We were rushing due to a flight delay and Scarpetta was just what we needed! Relaxed and amazing atmosphere. A kind and helpful waiter and the best meal my wife has ever tasted! She had a seasonal item -winter squash casansei-and she commented that the rest of our trip was ruined because nothing would top this meal:). I had the simple spaghetti and it was outstanding:). Bombilinos for dessert were delicious! We highly recommend Scarpetta to ANYBODY!"

  • "Not going to waste time with details. Had Valentines Day dinner here. Everything about the experience was A+. Had a table overlooking the Bellagio fountains, was taken care of by a very friendly, knowledgeable server, had a great bottle of wine, top notch dinner, and some of the best dessert I've ever had. Even the bread was notable--as was the mascarpone butter. Couldn't find a bad thing to say about this place if I tried."

Started off with slow service, but the somelierier picked it up, ordered our cocktails, wine, dinner etc. Once waiter got freed up, he was excellent, knew everything about every dish.   • "My brand-new husband and I are increasingly becoming foodies, and when we decided to get married at the Bellagio, we knew that we had to have our wedding dinner at Scarpetta. We were seated next to the window overlooking the fountains, and service was overall excellent without being intrusive. The bread and dipping sauces were amazing (including the tapenade, and I don't even like olives). I got the spaghetti and chocolate souffle. Both were delicious - and my husband's steak, potatoes, and chocolate cake were even better, which I didn't think was possible. I noted in the reservation that it was a special occasion and the dessert plate said "congratulations," written in chocolate. Everything was downright amazing. Thank you, Scarpetta!"

  • "We have dined at Scarpetta before and love the food. Very disappointed on this visit due to the lack of attention to service. With just 2 of us dining, it was clear the waiter was far more interested in larger tables. When the appetizer arrived, he was nowhere is sight to check on us. Same for the main course. Wanting some parmesan to sprinkle on, we would have waited forever if I had not flagged down another waiter."
