I went the first time for a special fund raiser for Super Storm Sandy and it was a tasting menu. The food was excellent but I prefer to pick my food, and I don't like duck. So that visit yet tasty was not all my choice. The choices I made this time were FANTASTIC!!! The San Remo was a great cocktail. The Creamy Polenta is heavenly. I had the Jindori Chicken and thoroughly enjoyed twice (took a doggy bag). FYI the reheated version was just as good and maybe better. My dessert choice was quiet different, the kumquat pudding cake. Service was excellent. Had creamy polenta, yum, split spaghetti with my wife. That was ok I was expecting a little better since most reviews made a big deal about it. Then came the pan seared halibut, it was just amazing. I love fish, this was every bit of good as fish i would have in Hawaii. Desert we had the bombolini again amazing. Would go back in a second. We ordered the chef's tasting menu at Scarpetta and while we both enjoyed our dinner, it didn't "wow us" for the money we spent. We loved the wine and the staff was super attentive and personable. The views of the Bellagio water show were wonderful. We were early and instead of waiting for our table we sat at one of the little enclaves along the bar - perfect spot for three girls on a night out. The food was fantastic - from the bread basket to the beet salad to the fish & filet entrees we had. The drinks were also very tasty (we had the berry something or other... excellent!). The service was impeccable and we had a wonderful time. My wife and I always share a Polenta and a Spaghetti as appetizers and then we order an entree that we haven't tried. This was our first chance to eat at Scarpetta Vegas, but our favorites (Polenta and Spaghetti) were identical to what we are used to. Awesome. This restaurant had a few different entrees on the menu than I had seen at the sister restaurants. We had veal and lamb and they were excellent. We celebrated our 25th anniversary here. It was the perfect atmosphere. Quiet, dimly lit and overlooking the Billagio fountains. I took a client there recently and we enjoyed their signature tasting menu with the wine pairing...a wonderful 3 hour experience. I was especially (and somewhat sceptically) looking forward to the Spaghetti Tomato Basil course, which I had seen panned on a Food Network. "How could a simple spaghetti and tomato sauce be THAT good?" Well, it was THAT good as were the other courses. I consider myself to be an accomplished cook, but I left Scarpetta feeling that I didn't really know much about cooking. The service is fantastic, the ambiance is modern yet elegant, and the view of the Bellagio fountains is spectacular. The food is creatively done and delicious, and they get extra points for catering to vegetarians (like me) with a complete separate menu. I recommend the Creamy Polenta appetizer (still one of the best things I've ever eaten in Vegas, anywhere) and the Rosemary Umbrian Lentils for main course. And don't leave without trying the Nutella & Vanilla Creme Bomboloni. The food and the service are both beyond compare. The dishes are fresh, deeply flavored and perfectly balanced. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and spotlessly efficient. The only way to have improved the experience would be to have included a spa massage afterward!

I went for a date night with my husband while in Vegas and it was the perfect spot. The view was awesome! Everything down to the bread basket was superb. My husband had the short rib pasta and I had the halibut - both were excellent. The wine list was huge and quite expensive, but the wine we chose was delicious. We ended the meal with the chocolate lava/molten cake..again, excellent. The only slight issue we had was the oysters, pre-dinner. We both thought there was too much mignonette on them. The waiter (Luis) was very attentive, friendly and professional. My wife had the Spaghetti and it was absolutely PERFECT! However, I ordered the Short Rib Agnolotti and couldn't eat it. The horseradish was completely overpowering (and I actually like horseradish). The mushrooms and broccoli rabe were okay. For desert, I had the chef selection of cheeses and it was extremely disappointing. My wife had the Chocoloate Cake with gelato and salted caramel. Having been to Scarpetta in Miami, I already knew what I was in for...GREAT food and GREAT service. We were seated at a booth that looked out of the window over the Bellagio watershow. We started with the foie gras ravioli, which they split beautifully for us. This is by far the BEST pasta dish I've ever had. For our main course we shared the Lamb Loin and the branzino. Both were excellent. Lamb was cooked perfectly (med rare) and the Branzino was nice and flaky. We finished off our meal with the panna cota and the chocolate cake w/ almond gelato. The only thing that rivaled our food was the service. Top notch!! Substitutions were done to the menu and he even made additional substitutions on our behalf which turned our dinner experience that much better! Must try's include the truffle polenta,,so velvety and to die for, swordfish was crispy skinned and moist on the inside, scallops were perfectly seared an fairly large. The famous tomato basil spaghetti was quite good and for such a simple dish was packed with flavor. The true highlight for us was the coconut pana cotta. I had read the reviews not only on open table but also yelp. Both gave great reviews so I tried it out and the ratings were spot on. The menu has a nice variety without having too many choices, there were some really outstanding selections from the menu. The oysters were beautifully prepared with a tart lemony sauce that really woke up my taste buds. The duck and fois gras ravioli really melted in my mouth and had a great earthy flavor. The winner is the Branzini, it was beautifully cooked with just the right amount of searing. We finished out meal with a deconstructed custard which was truly outstanding. There were six of us, and we got an awesome table next to a window with an incredible view of the Bellagio Fountain and The Strip. The service was excellent, the food was even better.
