Certamente recomendo.

We first visited Scarpetta back in September for my birthday. We went again this time for another special occasion, to celebrate our marriage. It was just as good as the last time. The food is unbelievable and the service is impeccable. This is our new favorite restaurant.

The only reason I gave 4 stars for service was because we thought the hostess was very rude. When we walked in, all she said was there was a 2 hour wait for walk-ins and left it there. She didn't ask for a name to be put be down (which was fine b/c most people don't like waiting 2 hours) and she didn't tell us that we could also make a reservation on opentable, which allowed me to book a reservation for 30 minutes later. After I made the reservation, we went back to her and she acted like we were bothering her by coming back to let her know we had a reservation. The table we were seated at was open the whole time we were waiting. I have to say though the food was amazing and the rest of the service was amazing as well!

Looooved this place. Only thing that wasn't great was the squid ink Pasta w octopus. Way too spicy! The rest was out of this world. Tuna tartar to die for! Spaghettie with tomato sauce was great as was the short rib agnolotti.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and we had an overnight in Miami. I'm so glad that we decided to eat at Scarpetta because it was absolutely wonderful. Tony was our waiter and he was nothing short of amazing. The whole staff works together so well and everyone is very tentative to your needs. I have to say this was the best meal I have ever had. We got the chef's tasting menu, wine pairing with it, and truffle pasta. This was a perfect end to our honeymoon and I hope that we can go back some day. I highly suggest this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

Scarpetta was a nice find in the Fontainebleau complex. The service was outstanding and the food was very good. Just would not recommend the lobster and beet appetizer - it was disappointing as it was quite pricey but the majority of the dish was neither lobster or beets. The charred broccolini was outstanding.

We expected stellar food, service and ambience. We got great ambience, excellent service (except for the condescending wine steward) and uneven food. On the plus side, the frito misto and the broccolini were wonderful, but the spaghetti with tomatoes and basil tasted like Chef Boyardee and the pasta could be picked in our forks in clumps, not impressive, especially at $24. The hotel is stunning and worth the visit, but this place is too pricey for what they deliver. To their credit, the clumpy pasta dish charge was removed from the bill.

We went to celebrate a special occasion. From the moment we stepped in, we were treated like royalty. The service was excellent, we wanted for nothing. I've been to many restaurants all over the world, and this was the first time I was offered black linen napkins so as to not get the lint from the white napkin on my dress. That small touch sets you apart. The Crispy Fritto Miso was superb with lots of distinct flavors and the broccolini was the best we've ever had. The chocolate cake for dessert was melt-in-your mouth heaven. It was very loud in the restaurant, making conversation a bit difficult, and very dark, making it difficult to see the menu, but other than that, it was a night to remember.

We had a party of 9 for a girls night. We wanted a bottle of red and white for the table which we wanted to be cost effective for everyone. We selected a mid-range bottle of each and the Sommelier's feedback was "I don't like it" he then recommended a $250 bottle of wine in its place. His attitude was so off-putting to the guest of honor that it ruined her entire experience. It's a shame, the spaghetti was amazing, but it seems if you aren't willing to spend a lot of money you aren't even treated with respect or kindness. I would not return. There's too many other options for that type of treatment.

One never knows if one catches a very good restaurant on a night when the kitchen is short-staffed, but that is entirely possible the evening we went to Scarpetta. The atmosphere was great as was the quality of the food, but for the cost of this restaurant both the service and turn around time on the courses was noticeably slower than one would expect. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the restaurant and would certainly give it a second chance.

Our server, Greg, was the best server I have ever had. His knowledge of the menu (by the way, it was only his 4th day there) was impressive and his clear passion for attending to and pleasing his guests was wonderful. The food wasn't terrible, but for the price, I wasn't impressed. The polenta appetizer, calamari appetizer and mozzarella cheese appetizer were worth their prices. I had the Gigli pasta with lamb entree and it looked like something served from a can.

The food at Scarpetta is just delicious! From the Polenta, the steak tartar, the Octopus, to the amazing duck and fois gras raviolis! I would love to come back and try some of the other dishes. The place is very chic, totally different looking than the Scarpetta in NYC. The only fall back would be the lounge. We waited in the lounge for about 15 minutes for our table to be ready and although we asked for service a couple of times, the server showed up without a drinks menu, and not until they called us to our table. Besides that, the place is highly recommended! Beware wines are quite expensive, so if you have a favorite wine at home, you can bring it and pay $30 cork fee.

You can believe the hype. This is one of the BEST restaurants anywhere. We were treated fantastic from host to server. We were 1/2 hour late for our reservation due to traffic accidents but we were still sat promptly. We had the Chef's 4 course tasting menu accompanied with the wine pairing. We were in foodie heaven. From the hamachi, to braised short ribs, absolutely divine. Polenta so creamy and their homemade pasta with arugula, garlic and lobster with toasted breadcrumbs was to die for. Wines poured by the sommelier with each course and our server was fantastic! Little noisy, but it was VERY busy. We will return for special occasions and birthdays. Definitely expensive.

We were looking forward to a lovely romantic dinner. Instead we found the ambiance overall to be "tacky". Given the dress code (business casual), we were surprised and put off by men wearing shorts and sneakers. We would not mind that at any place along Ocean Drive or other more casual places, but this restaurant was marketed differently. The food was also disappointing. My husband and I like to begin our meal with an interesting salad. There were none on the menu and the one offered us was not to our liking. So we ordered two appetizers -- ravioli and what was supposed to be a lightly fried mixture of veggies and calamari. The ravioli was acceptable but the other appetizer was like a can of fried onions I could by at the supermarket.

Dining at Scarpetta at the Fontaineblea in Miami Beach was the one of the most enjoyable, outstanding dining experiences my boyfriend and I have ever experienced. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant, romantic, and sophisticated. I explained to our server the type of bottle of wine we would like, and his pairing was precise with what I expressed we enjoyed in a wine. The owner brought over the bottle, and throughout the rest of the evening we were treated like royalty. The owner also gave us a complimentary dessert, as well as two dessert wines to pair with. Did I mention their homemade pastas are the best I have ever had?!? Overall, this was an absolutely wonderful experience and I recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone!

Having been to the New York location, I had high hopes for the Miami location, and it did not disappoint. The decor is very modern with a contemporary feel, loved it. After arriving at our table we were served water and an amazing assortment of complimentary breads and three spreads, mars alone butter, garlic olive oil and a roasted eggplant spread, all delicious. After looking over the menu, we decided to go with the Chef's Tasting, a tasting menu of all of Scarpettas top dishes. From the first course, hamachi and tuna tartare, to the entrees, which included a pasta course, fish and meat course, to the dessert, chocolate heaven, the meal did not disappoint. And, Eduardo made our evening very special. Look forward to another visit.

Always one of our favorite resturants in MIA. Unfortunantly our last visit was a disaster. It is very dark in the resturant, a member of our party did not see a large piece of rosemary embeded in the polenta. It became lodged in her throat and we had to leave in the liddle of the meal. Very careless and dangerous, we will not be back.
