A word from Scarpetta - Fontainebleau Miami Beach
Scott Conant, formerly of L’Impero and Alto, is at the helm of Scarpetta™, Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s Italian restaurant and an outpost of his recently opened restaurant of the same name in New York City. The restaurant features ocean and poolside views, a wraparound veranda as well as casual dining areas and a cocktail lounge.

Scarpetta regional menu comprises clean, crisp flavors prepared in layers to reflect the quality of locally sourced ingredients. Known for coaxing the most sublime flavors out of the simplest ingredients, Conant relies on Florida’s bounty of farm-fresh and organic produce to craft menus of surprising complexity.

To complement our wine list, there is a $30 corkage fee (per 750 ML) for two bottles and $70 for any additional bottle (per 750 ML).

The Restaurant decor was very nice and enjoyable. It was the worst expensive restaurant I've ever been to and I will make sure that I never step foot in there again and I would not let people I know go waste their money in that restaurant."

We had the Waygu, which was the most enjoyable piece of beef I've ever had, the Orata, which was cooked perfectly, and the as an appetizer we had the Polenta and Short Ribs. I could not believe how creamy and light the Polenta was!"

  • "I don't typically write much, but the food was delish...service was lacking on a couple points but they get bonus points when I showed up quite late to meet friends. They ordered & I arrived 15-20 min after they ordered. I ordered and all of our food was out at the same time within 5 min. In fact my food came before my drink, which normally would upset me but I was hungry! Thanks for feeding me that yummy ravioli!!"

I can honestly say that I have had the best meal in my lifetime at this restaurant. The flavor of the food is incredible. What amazes me is the fact that when I return it seems that the food is even better than I remember it. Scarpetta is not the lowest priced restaurant in town, but in my opinion it is the best."

  • "Went to Scarpetta while vacationing in Miami Beach celebrating our wedding anniversary. Service was outstanding. Attentive but not intrusive. Octopus appetizer was amazing. A robust wine list with some very reasonable selections to a outrageous vintages. They did a nice little dessert platter with an anniversary message for us. I recommend the pistachio soufflé for dessert. Be warned, Scarpetta is pricey, but it is definitely worth it if you are looking for a four star dining experience."

Waited 15 min to our server, and then another 10 min to our new server; took order like I was in fast food place; drinks came after food (he didn't even apologies for this or at least make a joke about it...just dropped it and left); no questions "how is everything?" during our meal; forgetting picked up appetizers silverware before and not when I'm having second course; after all I spent with my friend 150$ (it supposed to be 180$ but the manager removed our second drinks) and the funny thing our server become more polite after manager talked to him..."

  • "Celebrated our anniversary here and had a wonderful time. My favorite dish was the duck ravioli, a perfect blend of sweet and savory for any pasta lover. The Scallops were our least favorite, just not memorable. They made an effort to congratulate us on our anniversary and even wrote happy anniversary on our dessert dish. This place is great for foodies!! Would definitely go again to taste the rest of the menu!"

  • "We vacation at the Fontainebleau every August and always save Scarpetta for our final dinner on the evening prior to our departure. When I made the reservation I inquired if our regular server, Luis Molina, was available and requested to be seated in his station. I was assured that this would be possible. Prior to our meal, I stopped by the restaurant to confirm that Luis would, indeed, be our server. I was again assured that my request would be honored. Not only was Mr. Molina not working, but the server in his stead seemed nervous and unsure of himself."

  • "I went last Friday to Scarpetta to try the spice menu with a group of 6 people. The server was hostile as hell!!…since the moment that we sat down and asked for the spice menu he got super rude and treated us like we were begging for some “free” food. Im sure that these waiters give a good service based on your pocket...what a shame for a restaurant has this kind of people or employees! Good food but experience overall was opaque by the service!…don’t recommend it and I will not come back again. I would rather suggest to try the new Miami located in Wynwood or Midtown which is less pretentious and more foodie than in Miami Beach."

  • "Was very excited about eating here because of all the good reviews, we are staying here in the fontainbleu. The service was lacking, the restaurant was fairly noisy, and the caramel dessert was a confusing dish consisting of several components failing to create a clear cohesive direction. As a sommelier I can say the wine list wasn't bad but not impressive either .. In fact that is how I would sum up the experience, wasn't bad just wasn't very great and have had much better elsewhere in south beach for a similar price. Suggestion, have an appetizer and glass of wine then head elsewhere for dinner.. The polenta appetizer was stellar."

My husband and I have been to both the NY and now Miami location. We love both but there is something special about Miami! Namely the Coconut panna cotta in Guava "soup"!!!!"

And of course, the food is always great! I ordered off the Miami Spice menu and my husband opted to choose from the regular menu. I can't get enough of the creamy polenta and my husband is still raving about the duck & foie gras ravioli. The service is like no other; very attentive and proper. Money well spent...We will continue to come back!"

  • "Scott & company did not disappoint! Everything we had was delicious- from the bread to the dessert. The spaghetti wasn't as awesome as I was hoping it would be-but it was good and my husband a carb fanatic, loved it. The polenta was as good as everyone says it is-velvety & rich, but the dessert was the star. The coconut panna cotta swimming in a lite guava soup was so refreshing and lite but also incredibly satisfying, perfectly chilled, with bits of fruity goodness to be discovered underneath. I'm not a coconut or guava fan,but it was recommended by the waiter&is an exceptional combination that I can't wait to have again! Although this restaurant is almost chainlike nowadays, it is worth going to and I highly recommend it-I will be back."

  • "The food at Scarpetta is always great - even something as mundane as our fried mozzarella appetizer becomes something special with baby tomatoes instead of the usual marinara sauce. We had the Miami Spice choices. My husband's snapper and my chicken and ricotta ravioli upgrade with freshly shaved truffles were perfect. There is no other word to describe our entrees. The panna cotta with the guava "soup" dessert was heavenly. Our waiter, Eduardo, was professional, friendly and I will definitely request his table next time we are there. The restaurant was just a tad too noisy for my comfort though."

  • "We were visiting from Canada. I made the reservation online. I heard of this restaurant from the food network show Top Chef. We went there for dinner August 3 for my daughter's 16th birthday. Her birthday was the 4th but we were leaving on the 4th. So we celebrated the day before. And the service was great. I'm a very pickey person and I had no complains. They even give my daughter a tray of different cookies and wrote happy birthday on the tray. That was a surprise. She ate them the next day. The main server was amazing. This guy knows everything. When it comes to explain the meals and how to serve with presentation. I cannot explain enough. I forgot his name, he's Asian. Fantastic server. The food was amazing"
