A word from Scarpetta - Fontainebleau Miami Beach
Scott Conant, formerly of L’Impero and Alto, is at the helm of Scarpetta™, Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s Italian restaurant and an outpost of his recently opened restaurant of the same name in New York City. The restaurant features ocean and poolside views, a wraparound veranda as well as casual dining areas and a cocktail lounge.

Scarpetta regional menu comprises clean, crisp flavors prepared in layers to reflect the quality of locally sourced ingredients. Known for coaxing the most sublime flavors out of the simplest ingredients, Conant relies on Florida’s bounty of farm-fresh and organic produce to craft menus of surprising complexity.

To complement our wine list, there is a $30 corkage fee (per 750 ML) for two bottles and $70 for any additional bottle (per 750 ML).

Diner Reviews
  • "I had a wonderful experience dining at Scarpetta and would recommend it to anyone! The food was delicious and the service was fabulous. I cannot wait to go again!"

  • "I've been to this Scarpetta location several times and it's consistently excellent. It's one place that I don't mind paying the high Fontainebleau prices. The interior design of the restaurant is gorgeous, the service is always very professional and prompt, and the food is absolutely incredible. I have nothing but good things to say about Scarpetta and I would recommend going to anyone. Delicious and beautiful!"

  • "From the moment you walk in, until the moment you leave, Scarpetta truly makes the night special and memorable. From the food to the servers, this place is AMAZING and I would definitely go back. It's a must go for a true dining experience. I asked a young lady to be my girlfriend on July 4th and Scarpetta only made the experience so much better and enjoyable. My GF was amazed and fell in love with everything. Thank you"

  • "Nina does not disappoint. I first went for Easter brunch and felt like it was nothing special, but when I went for dinner the other night, the food was fantastic. Bread delicious, appetizer short rib and zucchini blossoms are spectacular, spaghetti and basil is perfection, chicken entree is great, snapper is so good with a crisp top to it. Chocolate cake is very good as well. I live within walking distance to FB so I went twice because I was so impressed. I went on Wednesday night, food was delicious, but I must say the service was not good. On Saturday, good was delicious and the service was very good..."

  • "The staff was polite and the restaurant is beautiful. I can't speak for the whole menu but we ate the duck and the orata. The orata was spectacular."

  • "All I can say is if you have never been to scarpetta, you're missing a great dinning experience. From the very beginning, till the very end , service was the best I've ever received. I worked in the restaurant business for over a decade, am also quite the foodie going out literally every single day at lesast one of my meals, most times both, been to many many restaurants in so. fla. I can tell you you wont find superior service. Now to the food. My wife tried what they call I believe a 4 course sampling menu and after reading my self plenty of reviews, decided to just order an extra octopuss appetizer (excellent) and share all of her courses. I cant start to tell you how many dishes came out but I think it was about 10.Everything delicious"

  • "Terrible service for a five stars restaurant. Beautiful place, good wine list"

  • "Scarpetta was both an example of precision & perfection, the smoked tuna tartare was not ground it was chopped into precise cubes - easy to enjoy the flavor of each. Perfection in the bowl of spaghetti tomato basil, to the last bite. Nothing is wasted - simply enjoyed. The black cod - crisp skin & tender filet. An excellent meal."

  • "The braised short rib appetizer ($16) had 3-4 bites of beef. The Long Island duck ($33) was just a breast, not a half-duck. The food was excellent, but every time they place a course in front of you, you look down in disappointment at the size."

  • "This was honestly one of the best meals of my life. I highly recommend the Mushroom Polenta as a first course...also, the 28 day aged ribeye was cooked to perfection. Incredible! Can't wait to come back."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "I've been to this restaurant before and loved it. This time, the food was overly salted, both the pork and the side of broccoli rabe. The wine list was not really confusing as much as it was long and didn't really offer anything at a reasonable price range. I'm not a spendthrift but when most bottles started at 120$+ range it doesn't leave much room for ordering a few bottles of wine with dinner. There were plenty of bottles in the $800.00+ range, however. Wine list was impressive but didn't leave anything for the "entry level wine enthusiast". Overall the feeling was pretentious. Portions were excessively small for the price and the flavors were not well balanced. I am glad my food critic friends weren't there with me."

  • "The food and drinks were very good but the service was VERY slow. I will probably try it again because the food was very good...hopefully the service will be better next time."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "The spaghetti is the best choice. I expected good and got great. If you love bread before dinner the Stromboli bread is awesome. It's worth the trip just expect that you might wait longer than your actual reservation time and if you choose 3 courses it will be spaced out. Meaning it can take a while between courses"

  • "First off I will say we are local to South FL, so it takes more then palm trees and a ocean view to impress me. We went for our 11 wedding anniversary. The food was good, not off the charts. I got the 28 Ribeye which was tough and my wife got the cod. The Service was on par with the level establishment. The outdoor seating was very unromantic, it felt more like a snack bar."

  • "The food was plain. Both the apertizer and main plate was not worth the high price. The only reason the resturant got two stars is based on the good desserts. Unremarkable poor service from the staff that didn't know what food or wine they served."

  • "I am a very picky eater so, when my husband said he wanted the Chef's tasting, I objected the raw Yellow tail, but they accommodated that part and I decided to go for the tasting. The polenta was excellent but I had it before, the oyster and the duck ravioli were great but, the famous spaghetti was a disappointment for me, I hate to say this but it tasted like Chef Boyardee. I was expecting a more subtle, delicate flavor, the same thing happened with the ribs, they were good but the southern BBQ sauce taste was overwhelming for me. When the beef and the fish arrived we did not have much room for it and, besides, they were mediocre, it was a waste. The Panna Cotta and chocolate cake were very good. The service was excellent and friendly."

  • "Food was great especially the scallops and the complimentary bread with dippings. The octopus was perfectly cooked. The chicken dish was well prepared. the desserts are always top notch. The service was good but became annoying when we were asked multiple times by multiple people how everything was. Please let us eat our meal in peace If there was something needed we would let the waiter know."

  • "Loved the menu, food & atmosphere. However the noise level was rather extreme which detracted from the overall experience."

  • "Great place with pretty good food. I was a little disappointed in the limited menu selection and then only having 2 specials. Also surprised the only steak on the menu is a ribeye and then a special was a ribeye for two (Im not a fan of ribeye). I know its the not a steakhouse, but most high end restaurants will have at least a Filet, NY Strip, T-bone or any other kind of red meat to go along with our nice bottle of wine. My fiancé might have had the best pasta dish we both have ever tasted. I do plan on returning and we will both get an appetizer and just two different pastas. Management presented us with a "happy anniversary" card along with a complimentary dessert which was a great touch."

  • "Overall the experience was enjoyable. Two quick comments, first we have been to this restaurant before however during this visit the food tasted salty. The second is that i would not recommend getting the tasting menu if you are a party of two. The waiter had told us the portions were small and just a taste. Untrue, the portions were very close to regular desert, entree or appetizer portions which meant the volume of food was significantly more than the average person can consume. If you go select your favorites and enjoy."

  • "I realize there are many great reviews for Scarpetta, maybe this was just a bad night for the kitchen, or something to do with the departure of Chef Nina Compton, but our meal was extremely disappointing. I also realize I am not a typical diner, I am a serious foodie, my hobby is to dine in the best restaurants of the world, 57 countries so far. Joining me for dinner was the former food writer and critic of a major city newspaper, and my wife with a good palate. We all cook. The three of us ordered many dishes to share, as is our passion, 16 plates, 6 appetizers, 3 pastas, 2 entrees, two side dishes, 3 desserts. The portions are small, so it's not as much as you think. If space allowed I would critic each one, suffice to say we won't return"

  • "This was the fourth time I ate at Scarpetta's in Miami. As usual, the food was delicious, service impeccable, and drinks divine. We stayed in Key Biscayne and drove to Scarpetta's because I can't miss an opportunity to eat there. Love the ambience, but the food is the star."

  • "Even though this restaurant is a bit pricey, the food and ambience makes up for the expense. The Appetizer and Pasta courses were our favorites. With Appetizers that fantastic, it was hard for any of the Main Courses to measure up. Our table loved the Polenta and Squash blossom appetizer. For the pasta course, the duck ravioli was a favorite. The bass and scallops were well prepared. Finally, the coconut dessert was incredible. The restaurant has a beautiful of the ocean and pool area. Make sure you come hungry and bring your wallet!"

  • "This was not our first visit to Scarpetta. Every time we go, the food is amazing! Also, the staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Great view as well. We were celebrating a special event, and they reserved the perfect table for us. Highly recommended!"

  • "The food was amazing! We had a group and tried several appetizers and each one was outstanding. The entrees were just as good! We also tried the Nutella zepole, can say enough about how good they were. Can't wait to dine at Scarpetta's , NYC Service staff answered all of questions regarding our choices."

  • "My wife and I celebrated her birthday June 10 at Scarpetta. We last ate at Scarpetta 3 years ago and loved the experience. We were seated outside overlooking the pool area which is so impressive at night. The service once again was spectacular especially our waiter who helped us with the tasting menu. All of our selections were very delicious and well prepared. The new chef did a spectacular job. The wine pairings were well chosen. What I most appreciated was the staff making my wife so special and giving her a memorable birthday experience."

  • "We did the chef's tasting and it exceeded our expectations! The best was the spaghetti with basil, but don't worry, each course will be family style and you will get to share with who you are dining with at the restaurant. Make sure to have a light lunch if you go for dinner. We even got to meet Nina which was the cherry on top. Will be a memorable dinner for many years to come."

  • "The service and the ambiance were great. The CREAMY POLENTA and the DUCK AND FOIE GRAS RAVIOLI were amazing. I had the rib-eye and was disappointed in the flavor. It was tender but not flavor i would expect from an aged rib-eye."

  • "The wagyu carpaccio appetizer was the best we've had and the Mediterranean octopus was very good. My 28-day-dry-aged ribeye was served rare though I ordered medium rare. It wasn't particularly tender nor was it as tasty as the dry-aged ribeyes we grill at home. I was a bit disappointed and not likely to go back."

  • "As always, our meal at Scarpetta was amazing. From the ambience to the service to the food (I've never had better pasta anywhere), everything was perfect. My husband and I have been to Scarpetta several times (in Las Vegas and once before in Miami), but this is the first time we ordered the tasting menu and it was worth every penny!"
