A word from Scarpetta - Fontainebleau Miami Beach
Scott Conant, formerly of L’Impero and Alto, is at the helm of Scarpetta™, Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s Italian restaurant and an outpost of his recently opened restaurant of the same name in New York City. The restaurant features ocean and poolside views, a wraparound veranda as well as casual dining areas and a cocktail lounge.

Scarpetta regional menu comprises clean, crisp flavors prepared in layers to reflect the quality of locally sourced ingredients. Known for coaxing the most sublime flavors out of the simplest ingredients, Conant relies on Florida’s bounty of farm-fresh and organic produce to craft menus of surprising complexity.

To complement our wine list, there is a $30 corkage fee (per 750 ML) for two bottles and $70 for any additional bottle (per 750 ML).

Did the 5 course tasting menu with a party of 4- everything was delicious. Highly recommend the polenta, the pasta w marinara, the raviolis and the scallops. Great date or special occasion meal. Also a wonderful somalier who recommended a perfect bottle based on the flavor profile we asked for.

This is a must if you are in Miami. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Our server was Tim and he was very knowledgable about all of the dishes. We were seated in the back patio which was somewhat cold and distant. I think I would have preferred to sit in the middle dining room.

Service was amazingly good, but the food was underwhelming, especially the chef's selections. Noise levels can and did get quite annoying. Not for a romantic or intimate dinner. Prepare yourself to scream your conversation to the people at your table. Just go elsewhere.

We were looking forward to a lovely romantic dinner. Instead we found the ambiance overall to be "tacky". Given the dress code (business casual), we were surprised and put off by men wearing shorts and sneakers. We would not mind that at any place along Ocean Drive or other more casual places, but this restaurant was marketed differently. The food was also disappointing. My husband and I like to begin our meal with an interesting salad. There were none on the menu and the one offered us was not to our liking. So we ordered two appetizers -- ravioli and what was supposed to be a lightly fried mixture of veggies and calamari. The ravioli was acceptable but the other appetizer was like a can of fried onions I could by at the supermarket.

Dining at Scarpetta at the Fontaineblea in Miami Beach was the one of the most enjoyable, outstanding dining experiences my boyfriend and I have ever experienced. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant, romantic, and sophisticated. I explained to our server the type of bottle of wine we would like, and his pairing was precise with what I expressed we enjoyed in a wine. The owner brought over the bottle, and throughout the rest of the evening we were treated like royalty. The owner also gave us a complimentary dessert, as well as two dessert wines to pair with. Did I mention their homemade pastas are the best I have ever had?!? Overall, this was an absolutely wonderful experience and I recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone!

Having been to the New York location, I had high hopes for the Miami location, and it did not disappoint. The decor is very modern with a contemporary feel, loved it. After arriving at our table we were served water and an amazing assortment of complimentary breads and three spreads, mars alone butter, garlic olive oil and a roasted eggplant spread, all delicious. After looking over the menu, we decided to go with the Chef's Tasting, a tasting menu of all of Scarpettas top dishes. From the first course, hamachi and tuna tartare, to the entrees, which included a pasta course, fish and meat course, to the dessert, chocolate heaven, the meal did not disappoint. And, Eduardo made our evening very special. Look forward to another visit.

We went with the tasting menu as there was just too much to decide from on an a la carte basis. The raviolis were an absolute favorite. Spectacularly wonderful little morsels they were. We also went with the wine pairings and found that to be fun with some unique wines chosen to match the dishes. All in all a great experience.

Always one of our favorite resturants in MIA. Unfortunantly our last visit was a disaster. It is very dark in the resturant, a member of our party did not see a large piece of rosemary embeded in the polenta. It became lodged in her throat and we had to leave in the liddle of the meal. Very careless and dangerous, we will not be back.

I went to Scarpetta a few years ago and I was blown away. So, for my last Miami Spice meal of the promotion, I decided to head to Scarpetta and was hoping to be wowed again. I wasn't. Service was good, but slow. They mad up for it by bringing an extra dessert which was really delicious. I was mostly upset with my chicken entree, the polenta appetizer, and my coffee semifredo dessert. The flavors were unbalanced in many of the dishes, and my chicken did not taste fresh. Something was off about it, and I didn't finish it because of that. The polenta was good, but far too many mushrooms and it threw off the balance. My cocktail was delicious and our waiter was pleasant. The experience balanced out, but I will not rush back.

My GF and I are avid fans of the Food Network program chopped. We particularly enjoy Scott Conant. I had come back from a stint on the road for work and we were doing a spa day so I figured why no end the night with a meal at Scarpetta Miami. We had a reservation for 9 and were a bit early and sat at the bar for a drink and a manager even went out of his way to find the football game I wanted to see. The staff was friendly, knowledgable and fast. Their knowledge of the menu was amazing. The bread course with sauces and oil was so good. We put Scott's reputation as "King of Pasta" to the test with the Spaghetti and he delivered! We also had the Agnolotti which was amazing as well. Chocolate cake to end an amazing Scarpetta experience! Thanks

We thought we were headed to a fine-dining experiencing but, there was nothing fine about it. It was a very expensive sports bar but with small portions of food that were overcooked and overpriced. The manager came to apologize but didn't do anything to stop it and didn't even offer to comp us a round of drinks or dessert. To top this off, they already add the tip (which we didn't notice in our haste to exist) and we doubled that. Happy I noticed at home and stopped that! Oh and the hotel was not the elegant, wonderful hotel of days gone by. People in flip flops, bathing suits, drinking and running through the halls. Oh well, I guess all things change, but not always for the better.

After our first time at Scarpetta we thought we had found heaven. This last visit was hell! It started with an officious young hostess. We arrived at 6:55 for our 7:00 reservation and were told to sit in the bar. After about 10 minutes and watching others who arrived after us seated, I approached her again to ask why I waswaiting. She started to speak, and was quickly shut down by a manager who happened to be standing there, and we were immediately escorted to our table. A friend of mine once told me, in the service industry, once you start out on the left foot it's hard to get back in step. Very true! The food was very not well prepared or on time. Not worth the expensive price. What a shame!

This restaurant may have a good atmosphere but only for club settings. Although we were on time (even 15mins early) for my wife's birthday dinner reservation they were still 15mins late in seating us .The music was so loud we could hardly hear our server throughout the entire night but she did a great job. Seating was very tight, with insufficient lighting...definitely not the best for a romantic celebration dinner.

As guest of the Hotel we thought this was a sure bet! The Hostess had us wait for well over 30 minutes even though we had a reservation & was very rude. They intended to sit a party of 6 at a table that would not fit 4 people comfortably. I made the request to be moved & the young lady obliged with a MUCH LARGER TABLE. Our waiter was nice and friendly just not speedy, what should have been an hour and half dinner turned into almost 3 hours & was really was not worth the time. The food was bland, yes I said it BLAND! I ordered the CREAMY POLENTA and I've had better at a buffet. I am all about a great pasta dish and out of the three people that ordered the SCIALATELLI all agreed it was lacking flavor. Best part was the bread!

Scarpetta was a great date night! We were seated right between a few big parties, so our server got pretty busy and we had to wait a little longer than we like, but we weren't in a hurry, so it was ok. Other than the wait, service was great! I had heard rave reviews of the spaghetti, so I ordered it. It was good, but not as good as the reviews. Probably won't order that again. My boyfriend got the steak on the Spice Menu and it was perfect! Polenta was phenomenal! Beautiful ambiance, but the music was way too loud. We could barely hear the waiter or each other speaking across the table. Be prepared to spend some money! Overall, great experience though and we will be back.

Early dinner 6:00 pm Thursday so it was pretty quiet. Food was delicious but rich. Short rib appetizer, fried mozzarella balls, spaghetti, chicken entree. We've had the spaghetti at the Vegas Scarpetta location, and it was very similar. I wouldn't return again unless I was in the mood for rich food. Service was simply outstanding. Other reviews stated that you're well taken care of, and we concur whole-heartedly! We don't drink alcohol, so the tab wasn't bad at all.

The polenta, the service, and the ambiance were the best aspects about the restaurant. The service was top notch. Our waiter was great. He knew about everything on the menu...how they cook it, how they prepare it...everything. Always asked if we were good with everything. The polenta was amazing. The main course was a bit disappointing. I ordered the baked chicken ($28), nothing to die for. My wife ordered the snapper. It was nothing to write home about either. Definitely not worth the $33. I ended up spending $150 in total, without dessert and the %18 tip included. The worst part of the night was that we waited 45 minutes for valet to bring our car. It pretty much ruined a very nice time. We wont be returning any time soon.

I was interested in trying out Scarpettas but waited until Miami Spice to manage the risk of another overpriced, barely adequate Miami restaurant. I failed. Three people, all on Spice menus got ambushed with extras. 3 times $39.99 should not have added up to almost $450! I was shocked. There are many, many better restaurants the cost less. Examples: $15 Mohitos; $12 for a "side" or mouthful of pedestrian spagetti, $8 for a cappuccino and $85 for a bottle of OK prosecco. Everyone was very nice, but it was load and unreasonably pricey.

Everything was exceptionally delicious; the mozzarella en carozza was wonderful but the pasta was the best I've ever eaten. Not only was the tomato basil sauce perfect (I make my own and hate to admit that Conant's is better!) but the flavor and the texture of the pasta was fantastic. Their wine list offers a broad selection of wines and prices. All told Scarpetta is a delight. We will return often. For those that choose to, the Miami Spice menu is a very nice one and probably an excellent introduction to Scarpetta at an affordable price.
