Upon learning we were celebrating our anniversary there because we're fans of Scott Conant, they gave us his autographed cookbook! Amazing service. Phenomenal food.   • "We were seated on time by friendly staff. Someone (FOH manager?) suggested a cocktail. It was ridiculously sweet and when I kinky took a sip, no one asked why I didn't consume it. It remained on my table until the end of the meal. Steak tartare and polenta were amazing first courses. Our server was very sweet but did not describe menu items accurately at all. Not the kind if service you expect at a restaurant inside of the montage. I asked him to describe the lobster special that wasn't on the menu more than once. He never mentioned any type of sauce. When it same out it was soaked on a tarragon sauce which made it taste vastly different from the simply grilled preparation he described."

  • "The food took forever to come. The waiter said they were “backed up in the kitchen” . Then he said they were “staging the food”. This is not acceptable servicef at a place of its supposed caliber. Scarpetta spoiled what should have been a special dinner."

  • "Overall, we had a great dining experience! The food was incredible, the waitress was pleasant and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. The only disappointment was that our table was overlooked on their famed bread basket. We did request it, once we realized the oversight, but we were definitely eating bread (for the experience) just before dessert. It wasn't ideal, but we were certainly glad we spoke up...the bread is not to be missed!"

  • "The bread basket was divine, the service throughout the evening was superb and the outdoor dining was very comfortable. We split a pasta dish with duck sausage that was excellent, even thought the mushrooms weren't omitted, as we had requested. My fiancée had salmon, which was very good, but not exceptional. My sirloin steak was cooked to my liking. But it had a large piece of fat and gristle in the middle, which prevented me from eating about a quarter of the steak. For the price of this entrée, I was therefore disappointed that I was unable to eat the entire steak. The menu pricing seemed overly high to me for the quantity served and the quality of the non pasta dishes. However, for some, this may be offset by the ambience & service. "

  • "Everything we had was awesome (Spicy Duck Breast, Brussels Sprouts, Potato & Asparagus, and Black Cod)!!! I old have to say though that one of my highlights would have to be the Spaghetti with Tomato & Basil sauce. OH MY! I could have really just made a meal out of that, but I wanted to try main entrees as well. The pasta was made perfectly, the sauce had a slight "kick" to it that made you want to take another bite, and the sauce had just a hint of cheese that accented the basil and tomato just perfectly. Their cocktail list was great and I even imbibed in one, and I would recommend the bourbon, sage & black pepper one ( the name escapes me right now)."

  • "We live nearby and go periodically. We once had issues with the kitchen (refusing to add meat to a pasta dish but we could do it at the table??) We recognized the chef might be sensitive to changing his menu so overlooked it. This time, a guest was allergic to smoke. People were smoking cigars. The servers were incapable of keeping the door closed to remediate the issue. We asked to move; they "tried" but never moved us. When someone ordered fish without fennel - they brought a piece of fish with nothing else on the plate. It seemed like a "f' you" gesture from the kitchen. Then the valet lost the car. Bottom line: there are too many other good restaurants nearby - i baldi & Spago - to deal w/ Scarpetta's quirks."

  • "The food was superb except a bit salty. The pasta with duck sausage had terragon -totally delicious. the creamy polenta with truffle sauce is a must. we dined family style and ordered several appetizers (the yellowtail sashimi was also exquisite) and 2 pasta dishes for everyone to share. each then ordered a small dish for him/herself and we ordered vegetable sides family style (brussel sprouts were to die for) I recommend sampling the menu this way so you try more dishes because the food is so good. My only complaint was the slowness. Appetizers and paste arrived immediately.There was a long lag between apps and main course. we had no time for dessert (school night) it also took a long time for the check. We will definitely go back "

  • "We had been wanting to try Scarpetta for a long time. We heard their pasta was amazing and especially the spaghetti, "their signature dish". well it was not spectacular, in fact it was very ordinary. We were really surprised! Nothing wrong, pasta noodles were good, the tomato basil sauce was just, eh. There were other missteps as well. One of our starters was seared scallops. The scallop was perfect, it was on spatzle, which was very salty, we ate and did not send back. One of our side dishes was broccoli rabe, that said it was made with chili flake, it was way too spicy, inedible, we did send that dish back. All other food was great as well as dessert and service was excellent. Maybe we were there on an off night for the kitchen."

  • "It is refreshing when a restaurant actually lives up to the hype. Scarpetta has it all figured out and delivers on all levels, excellent location with convenient parking available, attentive and knowledgable staff and gourmet food - what more could you ask for? It is not cheap but at least you leave with the feeling that it was actually worth the money, which is more thatn you can say for a lot of other high end establishments. I have to give a special mention to our server David, he was simply perfect I can honestly say I have never been so impressed with an individual at any other restaurant I have been to. "

  • "The Easter Brunch offers exquisetly prepared food of the finest ingredients! I am not typically I Brunch fan, but Scarpetta does not offer a typical brunch. Foodies will relish the raw and cooked fish preparations, made to order selections from the menu, the finest cheeses from Beverly Hills Cheese Shop, fresh and creative vegetable preparations including baby artichokes. Meats include pochetta. Pasta served tablesude, including the best tomatoe and basil sauce ever! Our kids enjoyed the many children's activities !"

  • "My reservation for 12 at 2:30pm on April 20th, an admittedly busy dining day (one of my guests was also mobility challenged), was initially handled VERY poorly by front of house staff. The atmosphere can best be described as chaotic - front of house staff, while polite and apologetic, lost control of the booking process. My party ended up waiting 50 minutes for our table, through several apologies and updates. but there was no proactive attempt to make us comfortable through the inordinately long wait without my requesting it. Once seated, the wait staff was attentive and very accommodating, our table was well placed outside, and the food was delicious. However the experience was, sadly, severely marred by the initial handling. "

  • "I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with 3 friends. We sat outside, and the ambiance is truly classy. Overall, the food is delicious and so is the wine. Martini at $ 18 outrageously overpriced, and the portions rather on the small side. However, the service was very attentive, and, while walking back to the valet through the gorgeous Montage Hotel lobby, I felt that, although the tab was substantial, I got my money's worth"

  • "Quite possibly the best meal I have ever had. I have wanted to come here since I heard Scott Conant's interview on KCRW about his spaghetti. Definitely the best riesling I have ever had, it was from Austria and the waiter was sweet enough to let us see the bottle so we could get it again. Everything had layers of flavor that was so rich and savory. We started with the yellowtail and then the short rib with the faro risotto. The servers were great and never left us wanting for anything. I had to try the spaghetti...NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL. It was FANTASTIC! Perfectly al dente pasta and you could taste the olive oil, sumptuous garlic pieces, basil and tomato sauce...I am usually a meat sauce person but I didn't miss the meat!I want to go back"

  • "After an amazing meal at Scarpetta, Fontainebleau South Beach, I was a bit disappointed by Bev Hills. Maybe the deft hand of Nina Compton was the difference? Two of us and a third at a neighboring table sent back our fatty, over salted veal chops. In the restaurant's defense, the response was quick and soon we had replacements that were fantastic: short ribs for me & salmon for my friend. But even then, service wasn't as attentive as I'd expect. Despite being equally busy, South Beach was always one step ahead. Here, service was friendly and professional, but always a half a step behind. I had to get up and ask for a wine list, as well as gesticulate twice to signal for a waiter. Huge upside: desserts were amazing across the board!"

  • "Food and service are outstanding. Best spaghetti we ever had, pasta perfectly prepared, flavors light and delicious. Vanilla caramel budino was an amazing salty sweet combo. Also recommend the burrata and the polenta with fricassee of truffled mushrooms. Our server, David, was gracious and attentive, and had excellent menu suggestions. Warm friendly sommelier helped select a beautiful bottle of wine with careful attention to our tastes and budget, and also highlighted some favorite food choices. Energetic atmosphere with fairly loud music, so just know this is not the place for a quiet dinner. Overall fantastic dining experience with a kitchen and staff who really care about guests. We will definitely return."

  • "Aesthetically pleasing, french doors the are open to an outside garden which is very romantic and beautiful. The service was very good and the food overall was good. You really need to be an Italian food connoisseur to appreciate Scarpetta, which i'm not... The spaghetti was presented with just a little sauce that adhered perfectly to the noodle, but was pretty plain and not very flavorful. The polenta on the other hand, was the best I've ever had. I would definitely visit again."

  • "We went here for our 15th Anniversary and were not disappointed. The entire experience, from the service, to the wine and food were all exceptional. This is truly high end Italian food and although pricey, was worth every penny. Just my veal chop alone was worth going back for. I've never had anything like it. And all the other food from the steak tartare with black truffles to the seared scallops and saffron papardelle with duck ragu were all fantastic."

  • "First time dining here and we loved it! Great service and great food!!!! But be careful of filling up on the best bread basket and eggplant dip in Beverly Hills. Everything was absolutely delicious. It was a Saturday night and we could still hear each other --- and it was fairly full. Only slightly disappointed with the much touted famous spaghetti --- delicious but too spicy for me. No one mentioned it was spicy. Still, loved everything and will return --- sooner than later!"

  • "I had a reservation was for 8:30 p.m. My party did not get seated until 9:20/25 p.m. If that wasn't bad enough, once we were done with our first plates (aka appetizers) it took well over 30 mins to get our pastas and main courses. Maybe I was spoiled from my prior visits to Scarpetta, but I was disappointed in the customer service this time around."

  • "The Raviolo was an amazing dish. It was filled with crab and generously topped with lobster. The sauce was a lobster and euni blend completed in a creamy reduction. I would highly recommend it. The spaghetti was al dente and beautifully presented in the shape of a pasta nest. The sauce had a special bite, subtle but extraordinary. The server was very attentive and made excellent recommendations. The desserts were expertly prepared and had excellent presentation. The manager checked on our table and was charming and truly interested in how pleased we were with the meal and service. The atmosphere was very pleasant with celebrities dining near us. Fine dinning in Beverly Hills is alive and well. The stroll from garden nice too."

  • "While our dinner was exceptional, there was something very peculiar about our bill and I felt manipulated. We had brought our own wine and enjoyed a glass at the bar, where we paid corkage. But, our waitress took it upon herself to charge us for corkage again. The thing is, she did not open the bottle, we walked our glasses and bottle of wine upstairs to our table - very suspect and unprofessional. Additionally, we were charged for two cocktails that we did not order. We paid the bill before reviewing the itemized bill, but I reviewed it after I did the math. The process was entirely inappropriate."
