We have been to this facility several times. I hesitate to return since the menu has not changed in those several visits. There is no entrée for any vegetarian except for "sides". The cold lasagna dish is inappropriate for cold weather dining. This has not change an iota despite conversation initially with chef and subsequently the staff.

The food here is phenomoneal, the chef does an amazing job in creating a masterful blend of spices, sweets, salty, aromatic cuisines. We've had almost every item on the brunch menu and our expectactions have been exceeded each time. The Chef makes this place! I'm not as enthusiatic about the level of service that we've recieved. On several occassions the waitressess have seemed 'bothered' by some of the questions we've had about the menu. On a recent visit the hostess seemed put off by our request to have a different seat? Overall the location, food, ambience, overhead music and did I mention the food....is all worth it to continue to patronize this location.

Lovely place. Good food. Service was good, but our food came to quickly. I want a little break between courses, this felt a little rushed. We were the last seating for the night, so there was no need for the rush, otherwise I would highly recommended.

Scape has become a place of special memories for us. Whether you sit outside on a beautiful night in the summer, sit inside in the main dining area for brunch, or celebrate a special occasion in the downstairs area at the chef's table, it will surely exceed your expectations. The food is consistenly delicious (try the shrimp & grits and the Mac-n-cheese). They have healthy options, including vegetarian options and several indulgent items. The staff is incredible! Friendly and accommodating! We love the new manager, Jonathan! He's doing a stellar job!

My husband and I went to Scape before a show and had the best service and a wonderful meal. Our waiter, Ryan, was very knowledgeable and recommended a wonderful wine and entree. The lamb was beautifully cooked and very tender. He made sure our car was taken care of, brought us a complimentary appetizer because there was a small snafu with our entree and we waited no more than 5 minutes from when he told us. Then, brought us each a glass of complimentary champagne to end our evening. He gave his personal recommendations for bars after the shows and was extremely nice and polite. Perfect evening!

I was somewhat disappointed upon being seated and finding I had inadvertently made the reservation for the Sunday Supper period, when the menu is quite limited. None of the items I was looking forward to were available. This was my oversight of course and cannot be blamed on the establishment yet the experience cannot help but color my recollection of the visit. Never-the-less, the service was attentive and prompt. This was our second visit and we will return, being more careful next time about the selection of when to reserve a table.

Went here for brunch with a relatively large group on a Sunday. I made a reservation thinking it would be really crowded, but it wasn't at all. The interior of the restaurant is very nice, looks modern. The menu selection for brunch was great, they had plenty of options to meet the tastes of everyone. This was a welcome change from the many St. Louis brunch places I've seen whose menus are a bit limited. Our waitress was very attentive and very polite. Overall, the food was great as was the service. I would definitely return and would love to dine her in the warmer months to sit outside.

Valet parking, extremely polite and courteous. Pleasantly greeted by the hostess and then was promptly seated. Once we sat down and started looking over our menu, our waiter (Samuel) came over to introduce himself and asked if we would care for any evening beverages besides water. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and had very nice suggestions. We ordered an appetizer, each a salad/soup, and both had the Day Boat (Striped Bass). It was nice how he asked if we would like everything brought out as a three course meal or would we want our soup/salad with the main course. We never felt rushed, each course seemed perfectly timed. Our water glasses never ran empty. An amazing place to go for any time, not just special occasions.

We recently went for our anniversary because this is where our rehearsal dinner was. Quite disappointing. The Pom martini was sugary sweet. The lobster bisque soup had a super strong fish taste. The fig/beet salad was forgettable. The scallops had no flavor. The pork chop again, ok but nothing special. We left spending $200 and wishing we had just gone to the neighborhood bar down the street from our house. I will say, our server was delightful and attentive. He was the highlight of the meal.

A great St. Louis find! Good and attentive service. Great and modern ambiance. The menu and preparation was outstanding and innovative. Corkage fee reasonable (allows patrons to bring own wine - but a very good wine list!). Had a great atmosphere for conversation and the Server paced everything very well to allow for a great dining experience. We had deviled eggs, scallops, duck confit, organic chicken and pork chop among a few others. Everything was outstanding with unique preparation. One of the best in St. Louis!

A lovely dining experience! The food was delicious. I got the duck confit and my husband got shrimp and lobster scampi, both excellent. The service was attentive and gave helpful recommendations. We dined inside but the back patio looked gorgeous and whenever we go back we'd love to eat out there. A lovely casual elegant local restaurant feel. The seating hosts were excellent too, we had made a reservation on open table and it seemed the reservation had been lost but they honored it and sat us quickly.

I've been to Scape for brunch many times and am always pleased. On this last occasion my "brunch" was on the late side at 1 pm. Despite the restaurant starting to quiet down, service fair at best. I'll go back for sure and even recommend it, but one fair experience leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Luckily, all other experiences have been great.

We had dinner here recently. I had the vegetarian lasagna, which is has no noodles. It was creative and excellent. My husband had the scallop dish and said it was also very good. We split the shrimp and grits, very tasty. My only comment is on the service, the staff needs have a refresher course on customer service--making sure diners have proper utensils, asking if they want to be seated in or outside, preparing tables in advance for reservations made on Opentable.com. We will return, the food and ambience were lovely.

We were with a party of 6. Our table was slow to be greeted by the server. Everyone at a table had a difficult time hearing the server because he mumbled. We all had to ask him to repeat himself. The server made our party feel like a nuisance and not like guests. The food was good but not GREAT! The value just wasn't there in my opinion.

made a sunday 9pm reservation through open table. restaurant was empty except a few others - looked on my phone and it said the place closed at 9pm. didnt feel rushed by the waitress, but we just ate quickly so they could close. would like to go back and actually take our time. my steak was a bit over cooked (no pink or red even though i asked for med-rare), but i didnt send it back b/c again, we didnt want to keep the staff there late just for us. my wife's calamari was tasty. worth a full visit to see what the restaurant can offer - i will give them the benefit of the doubt.

We really wanted to award Scape 2 more stars but couldn't because we felt that our meal was very rushed. There was little break between courses. This was a special occasion dinner for us, which we mentioned to our server upfront. We would have liked to have had more time in between courses to talk and enjoy the beautiful surroundings that is Scape. I didn't finish my cocktail until halfway through the entree. I had planned to have wine with dinner but it was too late. The food was very good. Caprese salad is a standout as was the gazpacho. But the seafood scampi did not benefit from the addition of raw heirloom tomatoes. The creaminess of the scampi was not at all complimented by those tomatoes. Dessert was delicious. Next time slow down.
