ScaloScallops & Filet Mignon - YUMMY!Very nice dinner for eight with scallops and filet mignon, both were excellent. Salads were fresh, bread yummy with oil and balsamic. Espresso and drinks! I have never failed to have an enjoyable experience at Scalo. This is an adult restaurant, with an impressive wine list and excellent food. The service is friendly without being over solicitous, our server was knowledgeable and efficient. The salmon special I ordered was wonderful. One always hesitates to order seafood down here in the desert, but thankfully the cooks at Scalo knew what they were doing and didn't over-cook it as so many local restaurants do. I'm sure I'll go back, I just wish it was closer. I made the reservation online from my phone using opentable, and then called when I was a bit late. I love the place. Commercials are a bit cheesy though. Restaurant was fabulous. I had the halibut, best I'd ever had. A beet salad to start was wonderful. The dark & stormy hit the spot after a long day. Desert was unusual and delicious. Young crowd there, pretty to look at. I think we made a wonderful impression, so hopefully he will consider UNM when selecting a university position in the future.
