The staff was friendly and the service was great -- very attentive but not annoying. Appetizers were nicely prepared and portions were perfect. For entrees, we had different types of fish and scallops. Fish were very nice but the scallops were amazing. The breads were very fresh and of course very good.
You won't regret dinning there. The only small negative is the exterior. It needs a little bit of upgrade.

Excellent food and great presentation.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our third time atThis was our third time at this restaurant, and if anything it is better than ever. Every dish we ordered was A+ when rated by the standards of the finest NYC restaurants, and the service was excellent. But since we were at the Chatham, NJ, restaurant rather than the one in Manhattan, the fixed price menu was $54 rather than $70. On top of that, their policy of allowing free BYO during the week, including Friday night, even though they have a very fine wine list, is incredibly generous. My only criticism of this restaurant is that it doesn't have enough dishes without meat. Even many of the fish dishes are prepared with sausage or other meat.
