The waitstaff was friendly.....we will be back6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner & wonderful serviceWe had dinner there Friday, 6/8/13, while in town for the Blues Festival. The dinner was excellent and our server very attentive. I had the lamb and shrimb kebab and it was delicious. I loved their house salad dressing, crisp and fresh. We weren't hungry enough to have an appetizer as well nor dessert so I cannot comment on those things but the offerings looked good had we wanted to do so. We will definitely return there on our next trip to Chicago.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat find! What a great place! Small, intimate, but with ample room so it doesn't feel crowded. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was fabulous - I went back the next night too. Great presentation, moderate portions, good for sharing. The mezza sampler was a wonderful start to a lovely meal.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMrespite from the uber chic- GREATGreat place for groups- with reservations for seating. This is a wonderful, cozy, informal den of great food and very reasonably priced wine. I wish they had brinza and real lavash (Ho!), but even these shortcomings do not detract. Go here! Service was also top notch.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ethnic (Armenian) restaurantGreat ethnic (Armenian) restaurant close to the Sheraton Hotel. Pleasant and attentive staff, good selection of food, well prepared and tasty. Not expensive a worthwhile dining experience.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExotic decor, great appetizers ...My husband & I love Mediterranean food & had wanted to try Sayat Nova for years. We loved the deep dimly lit cavelike room with booths along one wall, each like a semi private coccoon. The wine was good, the starters fabulous; the couscous decent (when I mentioned that the lamb had been tough & over cooked, the waiter kind of nodded knowingly & said that he would always recommend other dishes over the couscous! We wondered why he didn't tell us that before we ordered!! Next time we'll know!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFlavorfulThis was one of the best meals we've had recently. Everything was so flavorful & fresh from the hommus to the combo skewer. Delicious & reasonably priced. Will definitely return. In short, the setting was great for the business meeting and the ethnic food was cause for much discussion. The food was excellent with the right amount of service but not too much. All in all it was fantastic. I would go back for business or personal outing in a heartbeat.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent middle eastern cuisine,Excellent middle eastern cuisine, authentic, long history and continually updates/refines.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and awesome service.Great food and awesome service. Still, I'd come here again.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBooths across the bar areBooths across the bar are just perfect for a date nite out.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMSAYAT NOVA-The Venerable ArmenianThe venerable Sayat Nova has been around for years & it has not lost a step. While the food is not what I would call gourmet, it is an excellent initiation into Armenian cuisine. The portions are large and the cooking is tasty. Service is prompt, warm and friendly. While certainly not a Michelin experience, Sayat Nova is a fun and rewarding dining experience.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
