Took my wife to Savor for her birthday. The open feel of the restaurant next to Klyde Warren Park is a fantastic ambiance with a true urban feel. The bar is nice, and any place that carries Alaskan Amber on tap is A + in my book. The service was very good and accommodating. My only negative thought is that it was pretty pricey for the quality/quantity of food you receive. The food is good, but not great. But it is priced at a high price point, and you don't get much on your plate. Not a good place if you are super hungry.

I had lunch with my husband; he had a burger and I had a Turkey sandwich. I'm not a foodie but my food was not as savory as I had hoped. My husband's hamburger bun literally crumbled onto his plate as he ate it. The bun crumbling makes me think it wasn't very fresh because it was toasted enough to lack that much moisture. We will be tempted to seek a different dining venue before we return.

I took my Dad to Savor for Sunday brunch/lunch. Both of our meals were 4star+. He had the chilaquiles and I had the Niçoise salad. Our waitress was Sarah. She was fabulous! Thanks for giving us a great place to spend some time together and to celebrate the birth of my second grandchild---his fourth great-grandchild!

I have been wanting to try Savor for some time, and this past weekend was the perfect opportunity given I was seeing a play with a friend afterwards. Overall the experience was good not great. Everything we ordered was satisfying, but I can't say anything stood out. Our favorite might have been the lobster puffs, our least the chopped salad (pretty sparse). The view of Clyde Warren park was indeed fun, and would have probably even been better past dark. Something to watch out for is a great portion of tables are near wait stations given the restaurant design.

We started with the corn bread crab cakes which were as good as any I have had else where. My daughter's boyfriend's BBQ Rubbed Grilled Chicken was outstanding. My daughter had the Bavette steak which was dry and flavorless. Lastly, I had the Grilled Pork Roast which was also dry and flavorless. Two out of four is not a great score. They obviously need to work on these last two.

Savor does a lovely job with their food offerings. The combinations are interesting, the food is beautifully presented and the cuisine is quite delicious in its simplicity. However food is not necessarily what one comes to Savor for--Savor is a visual and inspired dining experience within and of itself. It's like being in a very stunning little jewel box and being transported to N.Y. and Central Park with its totally open glass concept. To have the opportunity to dine and take in the stunning view of the ever growing city of Dallas and the live energy of folks visiting and creating the movie of life in the park right before your eyes is worth every minute spent here...

If you're ever considering walking around Klyde Warren Park, stop by Savor for at least a starter or drink. Great food, friendly front of house, knowledgeable servers. Open kitchen, which is always fun to watch. Glass windows all the way around, so you get the park view! Try their mini desserts, perfect after a large meal--just enough, not too much.

The glass walls and views and Klyde Warren park especially as the sun sets are great. But, our server seemed to be acting a part and had a "persona" which he was more interested in presenting rather than really being in tune with his customers. The food was good & nicely presented but not exceptional. The chef's cut beef selection was not available because of no delivery on Labor Day( but all the other food & meat made it?) There's a lot of competition in the area so the kitchen needs to step it up, otherwise you'll have a place where people take guests because of the location but as locals never go back to.

Four in party. Seated >1 hour late on a 8 PM reservation. Appetizer was very good (lamb meatballs). Also okra salad. Entrees varied from good (chicken and salmon) to under-cooked (pasta and potato salad). Staff was apologetic and "comp'ed" cocktails, appetizer, and dessert.

Everything was outstanding, except the pork chop came undercooked and tough. The kitchen "manager" who brought the pork chop back set it down and said it should be well done now and left, not bothering to let my wife cut into the meat to see if it was better It was either microwaved or placed on the grill for a few minutes. Somewhat better. The very nice and caring lady manager of the restaurant, took care of the problem and we left with a still favorable opinion of the restaurant, thanks to her caring attitude

We tried out Savor before catching a show at the Winspear this past weekend. This is an ultra-modern restaurant located on Klyde Warren Park. The all-windows design makes for a very unique atmosphere, and it lets you enjoy the scene of the park. The food had some definite hits-- my wife had the salmon, and I had the shrimp & grits. Both were phenomenal. The salmon had a bourbon glaze and a slight smokiness. It was accompanied by a cous-cous that paired perfectly. The shrimp and grits was nicely seasoned, saucy, and with perfectly creamy grits. (Be sure to ask for a spoon to enjoy the sauce!) The deserts were yummy and served in bite-sized portions. The salad and lobster balls were both okay. The wine out of the cask is a steal.
